Track Lighting for a Educational Space CAT B Fitout. UCL, Gordon Street, London
OVERVIEW
The ongoing CAT B refurbishment of the impressive Victorian building situated in the heart of Bloomsbury sees a transformation of 7,900 sq ft of the Student’s Union, staff offices and a teaching spaces. The design concept is very consistent across the floors using a strong visual language. Following 3 main design patterns, the scheme uses linear lighting as the general lighting. The circulation areas with exposed soffits are lit with linear profiles Lopen Suspended and circular suspended lighting Talla. In the desk areas the Lopen Suspended was used to create softer illumination and absorb the sound.
