Etihad Stadium

Contracted by 'Laing', Lionweld Kennedy were given a package of work for The Etihad Statidum, which is Manchester City's ground.

Our team designed the walkways, handrails, platforms, turnstiles and security fencing for the ground. All designed were done with the public in mind, ensuring their health and safety while providing an accessible ground to manoeuvre around. A range of our products were used including Saferail and Safetreads.

Etihad Stadium, also known as Eastlands, was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Following the games, the stadium was converted into a football stadium to provide Manchester City with a modern replacement for Maine Road.

The club moved into Etihad Stadium at the start of the 2003-04 season.
