The MC THHN/THWN is a flexible interlocked aluminum armoured cable approved for use in open and concealed wiring in dry locations at 90 C and wet locations at 75 C.
Description
All MC THHN/THWN is UL approved and manufactured, in sizes 8 AWG up 750 kcmil AWG, with two, three, four or greater aluminum conductors insulated with Thermoplastic high heat resistant nylon coated (THHN) / Thermoplastic high water resistant nylon coated (THWN) with an insulated or bare ground.
MC Cable is available in compact strand for sizes #8 AWG to 750 kcmil AWG. An optional outer PVC jacket is also available upon request .
MC is a cost effective alternative to conduit wiring. MC Cable eliminates the need for conduit, fittings and the labour associated with pulling in wire, threading, and forming conduit. Multiconductor and special construction MC can be manufactured.
