iGEN is a Smart Heating technology company. Our journey began in 2012 with an initial focus on the development of a small-scale combined heat & power technology for use in residential heating. In 2019 we introduced the i2 Original, the world’s first self-powered, blackout proof heating solution as a replacement for conventional gas-fired furnaces and boiler systems. Along the way we have captured interest and support from the HVAC and energy sectors, acquired the assets of a well-established European competitor, sold product to an early adopter pipeline, and pioneered the North American industry standard for Self-Powered Appliances. To say the least, we are leaders in the Smart Heating industry.
As the HVAC/energy sectors transition, we see an evolution from traditional HVAC appliances to smart & lower carbon energy-enabled units. This ensures we do more with our precious energy sources, with the least possible impact to the environment.
