Harlequin Floors worked together with an inspired team of collaborators to ensure a multi-faceted production could be created within and eight-week build. The stage was a wide-open performance space with a truss extending out into the audience. Harlequin Floors were called upon by Brilliant Stages to provide over 1,000m2 of Harlequin Hi-Shine black vinyl flooring to the set.

The Royal & Derngate Theatre is a multi-purpose space which can be configured for a variety of performances. Harlequin’s stage refurbishment project was the first restoration undertaken since 2005 when the theatre was first re-developed.

The Rondo WALK-ABOUT System provides a framework onto which a trafficable platform can be installed in the plenum area above ceilings for serving mechanical and electrical services. Using standard Rondo steel stud profiles with purpose made joiners and clips, the WALK-ABOUT system is suspended from the structure above to provide a safe and secure access to services whilst simultaneously providing a support for the ceiling beneath. It is suitable for: steel ceiling grid systems; supporting a walking platform in the ceiling plenum; seismic designs; and supporting of direct fixed or fully suspended ceilings beneath.

Harlequin Studio is produced from a particularly hard-wearing vinyl and its formulation focuses on the demands of dancers. The result is a slip-resistant floor that offers dancers added confidence for demanding choreography and movement. Harlequin Studio is designed for dance, studio and stage use and is specified for loose-lay or permanent installation within dance institutions, dance studios, schools and theatres.

Harlequin Standfast is a hard-wearing, durable performance floor that’s intended for permanent installation into adhesive, when the joins are heat welded to form a continuous performance surface. Harlequin Standfast has a slip-resistant surface and is ideal as a permanent multipurpose dance or stage flooring for heavy-duty use. It can be laid on any hard, smooth sub-floor and is an excellent choice as the vinyl performance surface in conjunction with a Harlequin sprung floor
