They wanted to avoid grime and salt accumulation on the roof system with minimal maintenance from the volunteers and to reduce maintenance costs.The architect designed the outside surfaces so they would be durable in the marine environment and easy to maintain. With difficult access to the roof, the builders decided on ECOCLEAN to help with maintenance and cleaning of glazed ceramic roofingMATERIAL & APPLICATIONECOCLEAN Porosity SealerECOCLEAN Self-Cleaning CoatingOUTCOMEUsing the power of daylight, rainwater and dew, ECOCLEAN created a self-cleaning roof that continually breaks down algae, mould and organic matter, which can cause unsightly stains. The Crescent Head Surf Club went on to win three awards including the NSW Sulman Medal for Public Architecture.

For instance, the guest room ensuite walls were mainly comprised of glazed aluminium panels made overseas. Unfortunately, this meant there were minimal tolerances in the set-out. Yet, because the hotel floors were generally the same layout, Rondo created a template system for setting out most of the guest rooms while also ensuring that ceiling heights were set exactly.

SAS International designed and manufactured products for three of the Miesian Plaza’s blocks. As the building module size is imperial, SAS was able to provide bespoke C profile width to maintain the buildings original 64 1/2” planning module.

Canberra Hospital is also a hub for education and research, remaining as the main teaching hospital for the Australian National University Medical School and the University of Canberra’s Nursing School. Canberra Hospital additionally accommodates for Clinical Pastoral Care institutions based in Sydney. RBA was thrilled to participate on a project that could better the experiences of both a myriad of patients and students.Canberra Hospital reached out to RBA to provide for a number of brand new Bariatric Rooms and one “Super Bariatric Room” during a refurbishment of the hospital’s orthopaedics services. These amenities are essential to providing comfortable care for individuals struggling with the growing obesity crisis, the Super Bariatric Room catering to people weighing up to half a tonne. As a result, RBA had to supply high quality, heavy duty bariatric facilities, whilst keeping a homely character to make patients comfortable in the clinical environment. Made of Stainless Steel, the toilet can withstand loads of up to 910 kg with no measurable deflection and 2200 kg with no permanent damage, maintaining strong and secure for its intended usage. Furthermore, the 304-type, or “Food Grade” Stainless Steel is constructed with corrosion resistance and allows for optimal hygiene. The unit supplied to Canberra Hospital has an optional P or S Trap, coming in an Enviro-Glaze® White Finish, best suited for the setting. However, this unit is also offered Enviro-Glaze® White external finish and a Stainless Steel internal finish, or a Stainless Steel total finish. Moreover, the unit is water-saving, holding a 3 Star (6.0L FF/3.0L HF/3.6L AF) WELS rating. The unit can additionally be accompanied by RBA’s Big John Bariatric Toilet Seat, or the RBA8186-853.

The brand new state-of-the-art $177 million Brisbane International Cruise Terminal was completed in mid-2020 and will serve as a gateway for the Queensland tourismsector. The 9,300m² terminal was designed by Arkhefield in collaboration with Arup will provide visitors with a world class experience.The public spaces including the internal walkways, communal areas and departure lounge featured 1,500m² of Flowcoat Terrosso in four bespoke colour combinations.The decorative resin-based flooring system was chosen to provide a decorative, seamless flooring system that would not only create a luxurious and welcome environment, but withstand the expected foot traffic.A further 1,200m² of Deckshield ID was applied to the foot bridge, providing passengers with a slip resistant and safe surface as they board or disembark some of the biggest cruise ships in the world.Tremco CPG Australia’s portfolio of industry leading products provided not just a flooring solution for the world-glass tourism facility. In addition to the Flowcreteflooring systems, Tremco CPG Australia also provided the structural glazing silicone Proglaze II to a total of 218 glass panels.
