This hurdle was overcome with the assistance of Rondo’s Technical Team who created unique designs of the external façade framing which pleased Contractor Conrad Linings and Builder, Broad Construction Services. Furthermore, Rondo worked in consultation with Hyder Engineers for a solution of the 150mm MAXIframe External Walls and Framing that required galvanised sheet metal to be installed on top of the framework to prevent any potential water ingress, with Rondo supervising the correct installation.

Sculpform Design Studio in central Melbourne is designed by Woods Bagot and utilises Curved Timber Battens to create a stunning studio space for us to work collaboratively with the clients. Working with Australia’s leading architects and builders is Sculpform's strength, and the vision behind the studio was an environment to foster and enhance that collaboration process. Far from a typical showroom, the studio centres around the Co-lab workshop, where clients can interact and understand the practicalities of the products.

The new Royal Adelaide Hospital (newRAH) is a significant project for Rondo, with our Engineering team providing extensive design support and developing innovative system solutions for over two and a half years prior to the commencement of construction. Now with construction underway, Rondo has continued to play a major role, supporting site contractor, Brighton Australia, with the design and manufacture of products that meet the projects’ ‘Category 4’ design requirements, which includes specifications for Seismic designs.

The stadium’s innovative design – a collaboration between HASSELL, Cox and HKS – feels distinctly local, with architecture and landscaping that reflect the state’s proud sporting, cultural and Aboriginal heritage. Wrapping the stadium with a bronze facade made of anodised aluminium to reflect State’s unique geology, and intertwining it with LED lighting to show the home-team colours, is a testament to the engineering ingenuity. The façade colours reflects WA’s unique geology, with the browns and ochres representing the colours of the North West of Australia – the Kimberley region.

Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley (STH) Architects, the structural additions provide four extra levels of useable space above the existing emergency department. As a construction-managed project, the design and construction teams were able to work in concert to ensure all specifications were correct and appropriate at every stage of the work. Having considered the project challenges, including site constraints, access and speed in which the project needed to be completed, CW175 was chosen for its flexibility, engineering and structural integrity.

In need of a refresh, the entire Welly Road Early Learning Centre interior was refurbished, which included replacing the tired and outdated sheet vinyl flooring throughout the facility. When it came to choosing a suitable flooring solution, the design team at G8 Childcare identified a number of requirements for their childcare centre and engaged Asset Flooring to provide flooring to meet these unique specifications.

This project is a great example where the client wanted to realise the instant savings of Con-form Group’s engineer certified, rafter mounted system, over costly traditional mounting systems.With a mixture of our EasyMech MR (purlin-mounted), and Span+ (rafter-mounted), HVAC platforms - the client was able to successfully mount all mechanical units across the roof of this mixed-use development in Tasmania.Spanning over 9 metres, this retrofitted Span+ (rafter-mounted), installation answered the clients brief in more ways than one.Rated to 2.5kPa and attached to Con-form Groups proprietary steel stub columns – this platform and it’s screens were retrofitted to the roof of this shopping centre within 2 days.Paired with our Louvre airflow and Classic Screen Walls.

Ivanhoe’s newest building is a landmark you can’t miss. The facade components of light bricks, dark cladding and luminous aluminium Click-on Battens perfectly complement each other, creating a contemporary finish. The interior also features our battens, which seamlessly connects to the exterior. The building comprises a three-level basement, ground floor retail outlets, two levels of offices and multiple fully appointed apartments among the two upper levels. The building is bordered on three sides by busy public roads which posed logistical challenges with its construction. However, the speed and ease of installing Click-on Battens alleviated this issue on the upper levels. The curved facade is wrapped in Sculptform aluminium Click-on Battens. They were installed upon standard and curved tracks which were delivered to site in a flexible state so that they’re able to be wrapped around the substrate and hug the exterior. Batten clips are factory fixed to the tracks at the spacing sequence that is specified. Helping to save time installing on-site. Battens are simply push-clicked onto mounting tracks that are positioned behind the battens in a concealed manner.

The University houses four main faculties, arts & education, business & law, health, and science, engineering & built environment. Deakin Uni is also renowned for its world-leading online tertiary education program, innovating modern education. Located to the west of the heart of Melbourne, the Burwood Campus holds the newly-unveiled LC Building, designed in an innovative way, holding multiple levels of formal and informal learning areas, health and wellbeing services and a premium staff working space for the Law School. The building aims for sustainability, sporting solar panels, native flora in its Wellness Garden and indoor greenery. The contemporary “green” design had to include RBA, as we share the same goal of sustainability. Furthermore, by providing to the ever-innovative Deakin University, we are improving the learning experience of the education sector.Pictured below, RBA’s ‘Compact’ Water Cooler, or the RBA2733-032, flows 30L of water per hour. RBA categorises the unit as ‘heavy duty’, meaning it maintains to be strong and long-lasting. Made of Stainless Steel with a Satin Finish, it has an Anti-microbial flexible bubbler with self-closing push button and non-squirt features (stainless steel bubbler options available upon request). Included is an integral perforated drain for hygiene & ease of cleaning. The Water Cooler exhibits a smooth radiused design that eliminates sharp corners thus minimising catch. All pipework is concealed within the Stainless Steel Shroud and contains the option of a Bottle Filler.Deakin University LC Building decided to pair the Water Cooler with a Push Button Bottle Filler, or the RBA2732-001. Users hold their bottle in the recess provided and press the button to activate the flow of water. Flow stops upon releasing the button. Spillage is directed onto the deck of the Water Cooler mounted underneath. Thus, students have a sustainable alternative for hydrating.

The brand new state-of-the-art $177 million Brisbane International Cruise Terminal was completed in mid-2020 and will serve as a gateway for the Queensland tourismsector. The 9,300m² terminal was designed by Arkhefield in collaboration with Arup will provide visitors with a world class experience.The public spaces including the internal walkways, communal areas and departure lounge featured 1,500m² of Flowcoat Terrosso in four bespoke colour combinations.The decorative resin-based flooring system was chosen to provide a decorative, seamless flooring system that would not only create a luxurious and welcome environment, but withstand the expected foot traffic.A further 1,200m² of Deckshield ID was applied to the foot bridge, providing passengers with a slip resistant and safe surface as they board or disembark some of the biggest cruise ships in the world.Tremco CPG Australia’s portfolio of industry leading products provided not just a flooring solution for the world-glass tourism facility. The surface was then protected and sealed with ECOCLEAN Clean and Protect Shield to provide a gloss finish which would also be easy to clean and provide antimould, anti-bacterial and antiviral benefits.OutcomeThe architect had included a gloss white brick to the interior colour scheme however supply became an issue. ECOTONE was asked to step in and collaborate with the design team to deliver a durable gloss white colour finish while maintaining a grey mortar realistic effect. Wellington Airport previously used warm hand dryers and paper towels. Their motivations for changing hand drying method were to find a more environmentally sustainable form of hand drying, also wanting to avoid the slip hazard that can result from water on the floor.
