Application

Used within single-skin or insulated roofing and cladding applications within agricultural chemical plants, corrosive chemical processing, petrochemical environments, wastewater treatment, power stations, brick and tile manufacturing, and many more. Can also be used for structural daylighting or as walkable panels.

Description

Webglas GC is a resin based sheet that is particularly suited to aggressive and highly corrosive environments.

Features and benefits:

  • Offers high strength and reinforcement - no safety mesh required.
  • No delamination.
  • Retains light transmission, strength, and flexibility throughout the lifetime of the sheet.
  • Will not lose its tensile strength or become brittle
  • Corrosion resistant and will not rust.
  • Impervious to water, vapours and gases.
  • The highly UV resistant resins provide a high level of protection (99.9%).
  • Low levels of surface erosion.
  • The gel coated sheet surface becomes an almost impenetrable barrier.
  • If cleaned regularly, the sheeting retains its original bright appearance long-term.
  • Compliant with the requirements of Class 2 to Class 9 buildings of the Building Code of Australia.
  • Maintenance free.
  • Available with a wide range of profile types and colours (translucent or opaque).
  • Available with Ampelite’s FS Firecheck fire resistant system - consult manufacturer for details.

Compliance:

Complies with the following standards:

  • AS/NZS 1170.2 Structural design actions.
  • AS/NZS 3837 Methods of test for heat and smoke release rates for materials and products using oxygen consumption calorimeter.
  • AS 4256.3 Plastic roof and wall cladding materials.
  • AS 1562.3 Design and installation of sheet roof and wall cladding: Plastic.
  • AS/NZS 4040.1 Methods of testing sheet roof and wall cladding - Resistance to concentrated loads.
