Environmental declaration

Additional notes: The VELFAC Environmental impact statement is based on an investigation by the DTI (Danish Technological Institute) which shows the VELFAC 200 system’s environmental impact. The conclusions set out in our Environmental Declaration are based on the cradle-to-grave approach used in EDIP (Environmental Design of Industrial Products). The analysis looks at environmental impact in terms of material, production, use, where the window sits in a building, disposal and transport. By far the largest amount of energy in a building is lost through windows (90%). You can reduce the environmental impact by using VELFAC windows with low heat loss (low U-value) and high-energy contribution (high g-value).
