Hydroflow HM8 - HDPE Cuspated Drainage Membrane

HYDROFLOW HM8 should be fixed to the outside of the structure to provide an effective drainage void. If the HYDROFLOW HM8 is to provide a drainage void against a PREMCRETE waterproof membrane, then it should be adhered to the membrane using HYDROPRUFE HCR BUTYL TAPE (100mm width), to secure the HYDROFLOW HM8 in position until backfilling has taken place.

If the HYDROFLOW HM8 is to be installed directly against concrete or masonry, then it may be fixed mechanically at one metre centres.

Laps between adjacent sheets are created by butt jointing the membrane sheets before folding the geotextile membrane lap against the adjacent sheet. This will ensure that no soil fines can penetrate the geocomposite membrane which may result in clogging.

HYDROFLOW HM8 is predominantly used for vertical applications. When installed, ensure the geotextile faces outwards and a maintainable perforated land drain should be installed at the base of the retaining wall, at the same level or lower than the underside of internal structural slab, to drain the water away from the structure.
