Hempaprime Multi 500

A two-component, fast drying, high solids epoxy paint. It provides hard wearing and long lasting barrier protection in coating systems for severe corrosive environments.

Features and benefits:

• Can also be used as self-priming, surface tolerant coat and a finishing coat in heavy-duty coating systems.
• Suited for application down to 10°C (50°F).
• The product is available in several MIO shades such as 18021 and 18061 both with 80% MIO content (reduced volume solid content to 77%).
• Fast over-coating.
• Crack resistant in high DFTs.
• Low VOC.
• Ready to use - optimized application properties.
• Surface tolerant product.

Service temperature:

Maximum, dry exposure only: 120°C (248°F).

Certificates / Approvals:

• Meets requirements to ISO 12944 when used as part of a predefined paint system. Part 6, Im2; Part 9, CX.
• Meets requirements to NORSOK M-501 when used as part of a predefined paint system. Edition no. 6, System 1.

Product compatibility:

• Previous coat: None or according to Hempel’s specification.
• Subsequent coat: None or according to Hempel’s specification. Recommended products are: Hempadur, Hempaprime, Hempathane.

Application method:

• Airless spray.
• Brush / roller.

Drying time:

Determined for dry film thickness 150 micron (5.9 mils) at standard conditions. Indicative values at 20ºC; Touch dry: 1 hour, Surface dry: 2.5 hours, Hard dry: 3.5 hours.
