VEW3 spine posts are engineered to provide structural stability and lateral reinforcement to single leaf masonry walls, without projecting beyond the face of the blockwork. This allows for high-quality fair-faced or decorative finishes to be achieved without compromising structural performance.

Positioned entirely within the wall thickness, spine posts are ideal for applications where exposed steelwork is not acceptable. While the post width is governed by the masonry dimensions (typically set back a minimum of 10 mm from each face), the section thickness can be increased to achieve the required load capacity.

The system is integrated into the masonry using compatible ties, with options available for debonded ties where movement joints are present, allowing for differential movement without inducing stress.

Each spine post is bespoke-designed to suit project-specific structural requirements, including loading conditions, wall height, and fixing strategy. Full layout drawings and fixing details are provided for approval prior to manufacture, ensuring accurate installation and efficient site coordination.
