Cantilevered parapet and spandrel posts designed to provide lateral restraint to masonry at roof level or between openings, available in angle (VEW1) and channel (VEW2) configs to suit varying loads.

Beskrivning
Parapet and spandrel posts are engineered to provide lateral support to masonry panels where no top restraint is available, such as at roof parapets or between floor levels.
Based on the proven VEW1 (angle section) and VEW2 (channel section) windpost designs, these posts act as cantilever or propped cantilever elements, resisting wind loads and transferring forces safely into the base structure.
Due to the absence of head fixings, careful design of the base connection is critical. Larger baseplates and appropriate fixing arrangements are required to resist bending moments and ensure structural stability under applied loads.
Each post is bespoke-designed to suit project-specific conditions, including load type (uniformly distributed loads, point loads, or combined loading), span, cavity size, and structural interface.
Early design engagement is recommended to ensure optimal post selection, base connection design, and integration with the primary structure.
Manufactured from stainless steel or carbon steel to suit environmental exposure and structural performance requirements.
