Main Contractor K P Wilton & Son Ltd from Bristol contacted SureSet as resin bound paving was a perfect solution for the project. Using a reputable product and contractor is a very important part of creating these commercial jobs and our 26 years of expertise was exactly what the customer was looking for.

It would have been easy to implement a traditional paving surface but, having seen the quality of our workmanship and attention to detail that could be produced with SureSet material, Anoopam Mission decided to use it for all of the pedestrian surfaces. One large benefit is that SureSet can guarantee no loose stones because it's a resin bound system that completely infuses the raw material whilst leaving voids for permeability, which also influenced its specification.A walkway blend was designed by our Technical Team to deem the installed materials suitable for heavy footfall and potential vehicular traffic. 

While meeting modern needs, the 275,000 square foot purpose built retail and leisure scheme, was designed to link to the existing town centre via a new curved pathway outside the proposed new Sainsbury’s flagship store.

SureSet FlexiSet, made of 50% recycled car tyres, was installed to support the sustainability part of the brief given by New Forest District Council. The chosen colours for the brighter abstract paving zones are from our very own recycled glass range called Spectrum®, the glass chippings are of the smallest size available and average around 3mm. The recycled glass is always tumbled (no shape edges) before colour coating begins which is completed in-house to guarantee a colour consistency and UV stability.The striking and fun paving zones SureSet installed feature four bright colours of;Lemon and limeTutti fruityAquaUltramarine blue.The colours were separated using straight aluminum edging provided by our supplier Dural UK Ltd. To keep it fun and interesting triangular shapes were incorporated into the design. These increate areas of abstract triangles were installed by hand using a hand float, to ensure the coloured resin bound glass had the best finish.

The Northern Hub required improved and increased train services via direct links between Manchesters Three mainline stations and a new direct link to Manchester Airport. SureSet helped redevelop these areas by installing two mixes of Resin Bound Paving to run next to the viaduct, which also includes entrances to step areas and ramp ways. The colour Tuscan Barley Butter a dark red mix with tones of gold and yellow, and Bronze which has more browns and greens, were then used in conjunction with a traditional concrete slab. In 2014 the famous Abbey Road studio was granted planning permission for a multi-million-pound expansion project, which included replicating the zebra crossing - most famous for The Beatles posing on it for their album cover. The Award-winning housing developers, Autograph Homes, required a sustainable paving source and wanted to create a generous size resin bound access road that provides a relaxed, natural feel to welcome residents to their homes.

The front garden consisted of the typical grass, a narrow footpath, and shrubs. It was prepared prior to arrival removing all elements including the soil which was made level and topped with a free-draining compacted stone, this is the required substrate for SureSell. Once the cellular structure is in place it's filled with loose stone and then suitable for a final layer of smooth yet permeable resin bound paving.

The playground area of approximately 50m² stretched across some well-established tree roots, it was important that when resurfacing this area the roots were not damaged but also received sufficient water, SureSet resin bound gravel is a SuDs compliant paving material, that water drains through reducing puddling but would ensure water would drain down to the tree roots or any nearby runoff points.

The Santo António Villas, Golf & Spa Resort (previously known as Parque da Floresta) is situated on the far West of the Algarve amongst hilly landscapes. The resort located near the historic town of Lagos, Portugal opened in 1987. It was designed by Pepe Gancedo who was one of Spain’s most famous Architects and has no two holes the same which attracts golfers to return again and again.This project included many different techniques which can be achieved using SureSet resin bound paving. The whole surface was first covered in primer and CRM (crack reduction membrane) to provide additional support to the tiled base below. The surround of the pool was laid in 3mm Popcorn along with a frame created with aluminium edging and 3mm Bronze Medal, a flower design was also installed using the flexible aluminium edging and colours from the Spectrum Range.
