Ronafix Pre-Packed Tanking Render

BASF - MasterSeal 581

MasterSeal 581, when mixed with water or a MasterSeal 600 water blend, provides a waterproof coating to concrete and masonry above and below ground level. It is applied to a minimum thickness of 2 mm in two coats by stiff brush, broom or spray.

Features and benefits:

  • Approved under regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) regulations 2000.
  • BBA approved certificate no 89/2138/5th issue.
  • Simple and rapid application.
  • Water vapour permeable.

Masterseal 581 is not suitable for retaining water with a low calcium hardness or pH of less than 7.2 (refer to MasterSeal 588 for such applications) or for application to horizontal substrates which may be subject to freeze thaw cycles or vehicular traffic. If a skim coat finish is required use MasterEmaco N 5100 cement based fairing coat.

Newton 107F

Newton Waterproofing Systems

Newton 107F is a two-component, cementitious, polymer-rich coating for the waterproofing and protection of concrete and masonry. Capable of withstanding heads of water pressure to 10 bar, both positively and negatively. It is ideally suited to the waterproofing of reservoirs, tunnels, water tanks, earth-retaining structures and covered or buried decks, and is especially suitable where the structure has both masonry and concrete elements where differential movement is expected.

When mixed, 107F is thixotropic to enable ease of application by brush or airless spray, providing an even finish with no sagging and excellent adhesion to prepared concrete and masonry substrates, even in vertical situations.

The product hydrates to form a durable, highly alkaline, permanently elastomeric coating which not only protects the concrete or other substrates from water penetration and carbon dioxide diffusion, but also accommodates movement in cracks and at movement joints.

The membrane is reinforced over static joints and at details and changes of direction with Newton 912-RT. For horizontal and vertical movement joints use Newton 106 FlexProof.

Surface preparation is required, as is protection after application - consult manufacturer for details.

  • Guaranteed to resist weathering for up to 10 years.

Applications:

Waterproofing of:

  • Podium decks, flat roofs, terraces and balconies (positive pressure).
  • Water-retaining structures such as water tanks and reservoirs.
  • Earth-retaining foundation walls to both the positive and negative side.
  • Internal concrete surfaces of walls and rafts or slabs to earth-retained structures such as habitable basements, car parks, plant rooms and lift-pits (negative pressure).
  • Soffits (negative pressure).

Can be applied via squeegee, roller, airless spray, pin leveller, brush or trowel.

MasterSeal 590, when mixed with clean water, provides a ready to use ultra-rapid setting durable plugging mortar for active water leaks in concrete and masonry. The material expands as it cures to form a watertight seal with similar characteristics to concrete.

BASF - MasterSeal 583

MasterSeal 583, when mixed with clean water, forms an extremely durable waterproof coating for concrete and masonry. It is applied to a minimum 2 mm thickness in two coats by stiff brush, broom or spray.

  • Resists positive and negative water pressure.
  • Suitable for interior and exterior use, above and below ground level.
  • Water vapour permeable.
  • High bond strength becomes integral part of the substrate. Applied onto a damp surface.

BASF - MasterSeal 588

MasterSeal 588 powder and liquid when mixed forms a brushable waterproof slurry, which cures to a flexible elastomeric membrane. It is applied to a minimum 2 mm thickness in two coats by stiff brush, broom or spray.

Features and benefits:

  • Regulation 31 approved for use with potable water.
  • Retains flexibility when submerged.
  • Good chemical resistance against soft water, domestic and sewage waste water and other liquids moderately aggressive to mineral substrates.
  • Resistant to occasional foot traffic.
  • 2 mm of cured coating equivalent to 500 mm of concrete cover.
  • Freeze/ thaw resistant and water vapour permeable.
  • No solvent.

Applications:

  • Water retaining structures which may be subject to movement.

  • To protect concrete from water of low pH or soft quality, carbonation and de-icing salts.
  • Suitable for internal and external use, against positive and negative water pressure.
  • As a resilient coating to protect concrete on bridge parapets, columns, piers, on land and in marine environments.
  • Waterproofing of new structures where movement is expected from drying shrinkage.
  • Once cured, the 2 mm thick membrane will accommodate up to 0.5 mm, or 1.5 mm of movement when reinforced with FX Mesh.

MasterSeal 588 is not suitable for prolonged contact with hydrocarbons such as petrol, fuel oil, etc.

BASF - MasterSeal 6100 FX

MasterSeal 6100 FX is a single component, cement based, elastic and flexible lightweight membrane for waterproofing and concrete protection.

When mixed with water, MasterSeal 6100 FX obtains a fluid consistency so that it can be easily hand applied or sprayed. MasterSeal 6100 FX is composed of specially selected cements, lightweight fillers, sand and special polymers in powder form.

Features and benefits:

  • WRAS approval 1509539 for use in contact with potable water.
  • One-component formulation with high elastic properties: Only needs to mix with water.
  • Elastic down to -10°C: High durability and protection with reduced cracking due to embrittlement.

  • High resistance to carbon dioxide diffusion: Protects concrete from rebar corrosion. A 1 mm coating provides anti-carbonation cover equivalent up to 400 mm of concrete.

  • Reduced efflorescence appearance risk.
  • UV resistant, light grey and white versions available: can be used as final coating in exterior applications.

  • For interior and exterior application.
  • As a waterproof lining for water retaining structures.
  • External waterproof lining for reservoir roof applications.
  • To provide foundation protection.
  • To protect concrete surfaces from carbonation and chloride attack.

BASF - MasterSeal M 336

MasterSeal 7000 CR System for Extreme Wastewater Challenges

Waterproofing and concrete protection system for aggressive wastewater environments.

System components:

MasterSeal 7000 CR consists of two components, both based on Xolutec™ technology:

  • Primer MasterSeal P 770 (two-component). Acts as a bonding promoter.
  • Membrane MasterSeal M 790 (two-component). Crack-bridging.

Features and benefits:

  • Quick and easy application by roller or spray at temperatures from 5–35°C.
  • Fast curing properties, which reduces downtime and allows contact with water only 24 hours after application.
  • High abrasion and chemical resistance, including a resistance to high concentrations of biogenic sulfuric acid.
  • Has a high moisture tolerance, even when applied to humid substrates.
  • Crack-bridging for gaps of up to 0.7 mm, therefore helping to extend the life cycle of the concrete structure.

  • The system has been tested over a five-year period at the Fraunhofer Institute under conditions that simulate those of a real sewer. The results of the test show no significant changes on the properties of MasterSeal 7000 CR.

Stongard MR

Stongard MR is primarily a waterproofing system but can be used as a final finish. It is an elastomer-based waterproofing system for positive-side waterproofing applications. It is designed to protect areas below mechanical rooms, pump and mezzanine floors from water damage. Stongard MR can be laid under a variety of Stonhard flooring system as an additional waterproofing layer. A variety of textures can be added as required and a variety of solid colours are available. Stongard MR can be laid onto substrates including concrete, screed, wood or metal.
