The ViLX-ILB has been designed to meet the requirements for a type B outstation with an integral audio frequency induction loop (AFILS), the design has been optimised to produce the horizontal field as required by BS5839pt9:2011, overcoming the limitations traditionally associated with a wall mounted induction loop.


To aid location the unit has a high contrast design incorporating a highly visible Braille enhanced call button which flashes green in normal conditions, it flashes red when ringing and is solid red when a call is connected.

The unit is supplied in a 200x200x80mm IP65 enclosure with a front label meeting the signage requirements of Building Regulations Approved Document B Volume 2.

Combined Outstations are designed to be used where the disabled refuge area is within the fire fighting lift lobby of a building. The refuge point is on the door front, and the fire fighting telephone is accessed by pushing the door. Picking up the telephone disables the refuge call point.

The Lexicomm ViLX-ACR provides remote indication of Assist Call alarms and provides an acknowledgment facility. It is ideal for mounting within a reception desk or on a wall due to its compact size and pleasing aesthetics.

It connects to the Lexicomm network via the nearest ViLX-EX8 System Expander panel via Cat 5 cable, plugging in to a dedicated port. It can be located up to 30m away and does not require a power supply and does not take a line output.

It has brushed stainless steel finish, 2.8” high contrast full colour touch screen display. Sized at 146mm x 86mm, it mounts onto 25mm deep standard double gang electrical box.

The Lexicomm ViLX-ACM-8 Master station can accept and display Emergency Assist Alarm calls either as a standalone system or on combined networks with EVC. The unit is compatible with (Type A fixed phones, Type B refuge hands free points, emergency assist alarm point or jack points in Far East and Middle East applications) as required.

The touch-screen layout has four buttons allowing quick access to the main functions, and permanently displaying the number of current calls, alarms and faults.

Emergency Assist Alarm calls can be acknowledged by pressing the Icon on screen(as required by BS8300) and will return to alarm if not reset within two minutes.

The ViLX-ACM has inbuilt networking allowing it to form one of the 64 panels on a Lexicomm network installation allowing a total of 512 outstations to be accommodated. Each panel can be a master station or ViLX-EX8 network expander.

The Lexicomm ViLX-EX8 system expander panel is utilised to expand the Lexicomm Network System, it can accept up to eight lines of outstation, (Type A fixed phones, Type B refuge hands free points, emergency assist alarm point or jack points in Far East and Middle East applications) as required.

Lines auto identify by flashing Red for EVCS calls, Blue for assist calls or flashing Green for Connected calls as detailed in BS5839pt9:2011.

The ViLX-EX8 has inbuilt networking allowing it to form one of the 64 panels on a Lexicomm network installation allowing a total of 512 outstations to be accommodated. Each panel on the Lexicomm network can be a master station or ViLX-EX8 system expander.

The display on the front of the ViLX-EX8 gives the current call or fault status of each line of the local panel aiding fault finding.

ViLX- Commander Graphics system

LX-Commander is a replica of the master station (which still must be fitted) and allows hi-resolution maps or graphical representations to be displayed with buttons overlaid representing the EVCS outstations and Assist Call emergency assistance alarms. Area buttons allow screens to be linked enabling overview and zoom screens to be quickly implemented.

The application contains full editing capabilities, password protected, allowing the user or engineer screens of bitmaps or JPEGs to be imported, allowing a COTS approach to the GUI with maximum flexibility without all the issues attached with bespoke software.

Everything is contained within a panel PC (except for the EN54-4 power supply) and a simple cat5 cable connects to the nearest expander.

ViLX-228- 2 to 8 Line EVCS Master Station

Designed for ease of installation and commissioning, the LX228 is a solution for smaller projects, but with built in networking it can form the local control element of complex campus style systems.
