The 4000 series range of fire rated riser doors is suitable for riser, duct, and pod access applications for jointless plasterboard/plaster and masonry walls where maximum performance is required.

Doors are supplied with a powder coated RAL 9010 primer finish, which can be over painted with any standard emulsion. This means that they blend in perfectly with the surrounding wall to give a flush, clean finish.

Designed for ease of installation, and with excellent fire and acoustic performance as standard, the 4000 series is a perfect alternative to conventional timber door/architrave access.

Profab 3000 - Access panel

The 3000 series ‘loft hatch’ is designed to provide access between 50 mm wide timber truss/ joisted plaster/ plasterboard ceilings, where access to the loft space is required.

The metal frame holds a flush metal door through adjustable hinges to one side. The door is held closed with either concealed push catches (PC) or a security key lock (SL). The door opens down towards the user and is removable during installation or if damage occurs. Panels with simulated dry wall beaded frames (BF) are jointed/skim-plastered and then decorated on site to match the colour/texture of the adjacent finish.

Picture frame (PF) panels are finished semi-gloss white so require no finishing after installation. A 2 mm gap is maintained between the door and frame through the adjustable hinges.

The 2000 metal series access panel provides a simple, economic solution to ceilings and walls, suitable for new build or retrofitted after remedial work where lockable access is required.

Door and frame finished with a lightly textured surface suitable for painting over if required.

Unique three way installation option available, which includes;

  • Using the holes in the frame, the panel can be secured to the structure by using standard fasteners, or
  • Bending the metal tags on the back of the panel frame to secure onto the back of the structure or
  • Applying proprietary contact adhesive to the 25 mm picture frame (for wall installation only).

The 6000 series range of steel lockable access panels provides access into jointless plaster/ plasterboard ceilings, where access to mechanical and electrical services is required.

The metal frame holds a flush metal faced door (MD) or a plasterboard lined (PD) door through a bayonet lock retaining system. The bayonet lock retaining system allows the door to be removed during installation or if damage occurs. Panel frames are manufactured either as fully concealed (BF) or alternatively, manufactured for retrofitting where the 25 mm picture frame is visible (PF). Panels with simulated drywall beaded frames (BF) are supplied powder coated white primer all over as standard for decoration on site to match the adjacent finish.

Panels with visible picture frame (PF) are supplied powder coated semi-gloss white as standard.

Profab 8000 - Access panel

The 8000 Series is a range of access panels designed to accept a tiled finish up to a maximum thickness of 13mm, ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms, or shower rooms where discrete access to services is required. All panels are manufactured to order and can be designed to suit the specified tile module.

The Tiled Frame (TF) option gives a fully concealed finish, and is generally used when full, uncut tiles are to be applied to the face of the panel. The Exposed Edge Frame (EEF) design is more suitable in instances where tiles are going to be cut to fit within the door tray.

Profab 9000 - Access panel

The 9000 series range of hinged steel access panels provides access into sealed plasterboard or sandwich panel (demountable) wall and ceiling systems where access to mechanical and electrical services is required.

The welded metal frame holds a metal door tray which is hinged via fully adjustable concealed hinges and is held closed by either a push catch ([PC], not available for 1FR panel) or a security sealed key lock (SL). The door then opens towards the user.

The door is removable if damage occurs or during installation.

Panels are manufactured either as fully concealed so that after installation only a 2 mm wide door line is visible (BF), or alternatively, manufactured for retrofitting where the 25 mm picture frame surround is visible (PF). The PF type is also available with a modified frame for installation into 60 mm sandwich panel demountable structure. A constant gap is maintained between the door and frame by the fully adjustable hinge and dome location system.

Panels are supplied powder coated semi-gloss white all over as standard but can be supplied using plastic coated steel or stainless steel. Anti-bacterial paint is also available as an optional extra.

Profab 5000 - Access panel

The 5000 series range of hinged steel access panels provides modular access into ‘lay-in’ mineral fibreboard tiles on exposed grid where regular access to mechanical and electrical services is required.

The welded metal frame holds a metal door tray designed to accept the same selected ceiling tile as in the surrounding ceiling. The door is hinged via fully adjustable concealed hinges and is held closed by either a concealed budget lock (BL) or security key lock (SL) which opens towards the user. The door is removable to facilitate installation of the ceiling board or if future damage occurs.

Manufactured to suit exact tile modules, either as 600 or as 1200 mm, square or rebated (tegular) edge and 24 or 15 mm wide tee grid systems.

Supplied powder coated semi-gloss white all-over unless they are specified to match the tee grid colour, as is usual for panels that contain ‘dummy’ tee sections.

Panels should be independently supported on threaded rod or angle. 600 x 1200 mm or larger panels should be braced to prevent any lateral movement.
