Optima IPC, Interlocking Pressed Plank System Details

The Optima IPC system is available as a pressed plank in a variety of materials, often pre-finished or as an extruded plank available in post-finished aluminium. They are connected by a simple interlocking male/female joint, which offers either a recessed or hairline appearance. Optima IPC is secretly fixed onto extruded aluminium support framework horizontally or vertically in a variety of materials. This drained and ventilated system creates a weather shield in front of a primary structure. Optima IPC is engineered to seamlessly integrate with all other building façade elements such as windows, doors and louvres. is designed to provide vertical support to most rainscreen cladding panels using the principle of a ventilated façade with the ability to span over non- load bearing walls and be fixed back to floor slabs.
Wall brackets combined with extruded aluminium box and “T” box profiles provide the installer with an adjustable system allowing for thermal and structural movement and variation in cavity depth to suit project specific requirements.
DCS041 vertical rails offer direct support to the cladding panels by face or adhesive fixing them.
It can also be used as a support to other framing systems such as our DCS004 Mechanical Secret Fix or DCS021 Omega and Zeds for horizontal support.

Typically, rails are installed in lengths to suit panel width module. T rail sections generally provide support at panel joints and L rail sections provide support for intermediate fixing.

The OS2 control unit can be a stand-alone management system - in its own right, or it can be integrated into a fully-networked fire alarm or BMS system. In the event of a fire, if the mains electrical supply to the building is cut, the OS2 offers a fail-safe option as it incorporates a backup battery system to ensure the Natural Smoke Vents will still open.
