Playground surface

Rubber Modified Asphalt - recycled tyres in roads

Tarmacs rubber modified asphalts enable old tyres to be converted into new roads and footpaths. Rubber modified asphalts incorporate the rubber from one tyre per tonne of asphalt, giving the potential to recycle about 500 tyres per kilometre of road, depending on layer thickness. Tarmac rubber modified asphalts incorporate proven ULTILOW warm mix asphalt technology as standard. Manufactured and laid at lower temperatures than conventional
hot mix asphalts, they result in lower CO emissions during production. Site safety is also improved from reduced fumes and steam on site and a reduced risk of burns. The typical carbon footprint of Tarmacs rubber modified SMA solution will be around 8% lower than the equivalent conventional SMA.

Sustainable asphalt - low temperature asphalt - Tarmac Ultilow

ULTILOW is a range of low temperature asphalts manufactured, supplied and laid at lower temperatures. They offer equivalent performance to conventional hot mix asphalts but with the added benefits of enhanced workability, improved sustainability and earlier reopening times to traffic. ULTILOW asphalts can deliver carbon footprint savings of up to 25% compared to hot equivalents. They are also safer; lower temperatures mean less risk of burns and reduced fumes and steam on site which can impact on visibility.

Limelite LPB221 Lime Grout

LPB221 is a cement-free grout designed to be used as a void filler in listed monuments and historic buildings where minimal strength is required.
When mixed at the optimal WSR LPB221 has excellent fluidity and a high yield.
USES
LPB221 is designed for filling voids in open textured rubble filled walls using gravity fed or injection systems. This operation is normally needed when thick walls of double skin construction with rubble core filling have been subjected to the percolation of
water over many years. This washing action removes weak mortar thereby creating voids or allowing the loose fill to accumulate at the base of the wall causing a cracking, bulging or displacement of
stones.
The grout can also be used for general void filling where a minimal strength and the absence of cement

Limelite Heritage Grout Winchester

Winchester Grout is a medium strength lime based grout for the grouting of voids in heritage structures.
The grout is designed to have a moderate compressive strength and high flexibility to provide similar properties to a hydraulic lime mortar once cured. The grout is Portland cement free, breathable and salt resistant.
A detailed investigation of the structure is always recommended prior to grouting especially where large areas are involved.
