Security rated steel doorsets and steel doors are designed to provide security against physical attack for varying periods of time, with a variety of attack tools. It is expected that the European Standard, EN1627-30 (RC ratings), will become the Harmonised standard for security steel doors and doorsets; currently this is a voluntary standard and, as such, Teckentrup has already adopted it in anticipation of it becoming mandatory. UK private company standards PAS24, BRE LPS1175 (SR ratings) and Exova STS202 (BR ratings) ratings are currently used. Teckentrup dw62 XL security steel doorsets and steel doors are tested to anticipated European and others standards: EN1627: RC2, RC3 & RC4 STS202: BR1, BR2 & BR3. Teckentrup dw62 doors are also certified to LPS 1175 Security rating 3 SR3

The door has been independently tested by the Loss Prevention Council to LPS1175 (Specification for testing and classifying the burglary resistance of building components, strongpoints and security) and has received approval to grades 4 and 5 - the first folding door to be approved.

Materials
Turnstile Frame: box and round hollow section with extra infill bars in the side frames fitted to minimise the gaps and slow down the attacker.
Mechanism Cover: Two part, steel made, same above finishing, secured with security fixings.
Rotor Assembly: A mild steel trombone rotor hot zinc sprayed with polyester powder coated finish, filled with a composite material to withstand a prolonged cutting attack. Reinforced trombone arms with steel ribs to stop the arms from being forced. A bespoke designed bearing so rotor cannot be forced.

A2-s1-d0 fire rated sheathing board; Cembrit Windstopper Extreme is a vapour permeable cement based building board, which can accept insulation being placed against the board on the warm side of the building, whilst acting as a fire break against any blaze in the ventilation cavity behind the rainscreen.
Cembrit Windstopper Extreme has been tested to BS EN 1364-1:2015 (BS 476-22:1987).
As part of a non-load bearing vertical building element it will provide 120/120 minutes of fire resistance when exposed to fire from one side and can be exposed the external conditions for up to 12 months with no breather membrane required.

The Expel Ultra 55mm roller shutter blind combines a fly screen with an insulated roller shutter allowing you to have greater control of your environment while adding security to your premises.
The fly/insect screen is made from glassfibre and pvc weaved to allow 66% visibility to ensure that insects are kept out whilst airflow and sunlight are kept to a maximum.
The roller shutter has been manufactured from 55mm insulated lath providing medium-high security. The insulated lath allows better retention of heat in the winter as well as offering sound reduction qualities and a near blackout of sunlight making this the ideal product over bedroom windows to help you sleep at night.

HiSec is a security product in the Gunnebo Turnstiles offering. The HiSec2 6 has a transparent and elegant design offering a choice of security levels preventing tailgating and piggybacking.
The doors are always locked shut in the rest position. An authorised signal opens the first door allowing the user to step into the booth where a presence is detected. When the first door is closed, the second door opens, thus allowing the user to pass through. The second door shuts after the unit has been vacated which also resets the system.
