Latchways has developed an advanced range of safe, strong, self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) that combine innovative engineering, superior materials & futuristic design with quick & easy recertification. SRLs feature a patented, frictionless braking system with no moving parts, easily removable components and that requires visual inspection only. A 100% reliable locking mechanism is not driven by tensioned springs, has stainless steel components and cannot freeze, hang up or corrode. They are of modular construction in a strengthened nylon case that protects against impact damage. SRLs are available in a wide range of lengths for both webbing and cable lifelines and offer significantly lower costs of ownership and ease of servicing.

TowerLatch and LadderLatch systems and Constant Force posts offer personal safety for workers at height on most types of structure. Both systems meet or exceed all relevant international standards. Continuous, hands-free protection is afforded by the systems' universal attachment device - the starwheel - that rotates freely through intermediate cable guides. In the event of a fall, the TowerLatch or LadderLatch unit locks onto the cable to arrest the fall and a fluorescent red indicator is exposed to indicate that a fall has occurred. A built-in Constant Force energy absorber or a webbing energy absorber on the device ensures that the maximum load on the worker and end anchor in the event of a fall does not exceed 6 kN.

Fall protection for a range of industrial applications is provided by single and multi-span overhead systems with self-retracting lifelines, horizontal and LadderLatch systems and VersiRail guardrails. Overhead systems comprise constant force energy absorber, mobile anchorages, intermediate brackets and line tensioning device. Self-retracting lifelines incorporate a frictionless braking system and locking mechanism. Wingrip is a fall protection system for workers accessing the outside of most fixed-wing aircraft. Single and Multispan overhead systems provide permanent, cable-based fall arrest within hangars. Wingrip is a vacuum based system that can be fixed to wings, fuselage or stabilisers and is offered with multiple-user cable-based or single-user anchor options. Generally used for fall restraint, the system is tested and rated for fall arrest. Workers wear a full body harness attached to the system via a safety lanyard and work positioning rope, enabling safe, hands-free access. Overhead systems include a constant force energy absorber, overhead mobile anchorage, intermediate brackets and line tensioning device; self-retracting lifelines may be used.

ManSafe fall protection for rooftops comprises Constant Force for fall restraint & arrest, WalkSafe levelled walkways for pitched & flat roofs and VersiRail rail system for collective protection. Constant Force technology withstands the force of a fall and absorbs the energy generated. A variety of base plates and a freestanding post where roof penetration is not possible are offered. System components are the Transfastener which connects harness/lanyard to the system, brackets, D Ring/Hanger and cable terminations. The WalkSafe system provides level walkways on roofs up to 15 degrees using levelling brackets. Versigril rails may be freestanding or permanently fixed and rails may be straight, curved or inclined. A freestanding folding version is available.

SafeRing VP and PushLock fixed and removable eyebolt systems for window maintenance offer pleasing design, durability and low life-cycle costs and withstand the loads generated when a fall is arrested. Both systems provide an internal fixed anchor to which a lanyard and safety harness is attached. They may be installed into a range of materials in walls, floors or ceilings. SafeRing VP is a fixed stainless steel ring in 2 styles to which the lanyard clip is fixed. PushLock comprises a removable eyebolt in a range of colours and finishes which is inserted into a socket. Both products are CE marked and meet relevant national & international standards. Installations include modern offices, listed buildings, stadia, retail outlets & industrial complexes.
