FOR MORE THAN 120 YEARS,WE’VE BEEN BUILDING APPLIANCES TO LAST.Even ultimate performance is nothing without long-lasting reliability. That’s why we combine constant innovation with expert craftsmanship – the meticulous devotion to detail that makes sure that our machines are built to last. SINCE 1899, WE’VE NEVER BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE BEST.For us, every ground-breaking innovation is more than a cause for celebration. It’s a challenge to create something even better. That’s why we craft our own parts, forge our own iron. Even make the machines that make the machines. Because striving for perfection is in our DNA. We call it: Immer besser.10.000 HOURS OF TESTING* – THAT’S PROPER PROOF OF PERFORMANCE.Where others are satisfied after a few rounds of testing, we go further for longer. Some car engines need 3000 hours of testing – we check our performance with up to 10000*. In fact, 30% of our development time goes into testing. Ensuring ultimate results – year after year. LONGEVITY IS THE ULTIMATE SUSTAINABILITY.Imagine, instead of using many washing machines or many dishwashers over the years – just using one. One whose performance will still impress you years from now: using less water, less energy, less detergent. So, you consume less. And do lasting good.

Minimalist home sounds beautiful in County Longford, Ireland

Minimalist home sounds beautiful in County Longford, Ireland

Rockfon

For many, living in a glorious rural location in a contemporary, minimalist home is the dream. The clean lines, open plan spaces and large expanses of glass to let the outside views and natural light flood in. Danny Reilly, his wife and their children were able to make that dream a reality.Easy on the eye but hard on the earHowever, polished concrete floors, stone kitchen surfaces, floor to ceiling glass and other hard materials, reverberate sound. Add lively children to the mix and the unwanted noise was spoiling the family’s enjoyment of contemporary living.Soft furnishings like cushions, rugs and carpets can help deaden sound to a limited extent but were not what the family wanted. Fortunately, Danny is the Manging Director of market leading Reilly Ceilings and knew exactly what do to get the acoustics in the family home under control.Luckily Danny knew what he had to doDanny Reilly, “As soon as we moved in, we discovered the noise was unbearable – not all of it made by my precious children – and immediately set about retro-fitting Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic.”Mono Acoustic is a discreet, seamless acoustic ceiling which suited the minimalist aesthetic of this family’s home. Its seamless surface looks like plasterboard but has built-in Class A sound absorption to prevent unwanted noise. The installation in this project was a straightforward two stage process: stone wall panels were directly fixed to the existing plasterboard ceiling followed by a smooth acoustic render sprayed onto the panel surface, ready for decoration. Industry recognition and accreditationsRockfon Specification Manager, Deirdre Mulvaney, “Happily for the Reilly family, Danny had the knowledge to solve poor acoustics in this open plan environment. Mono Acoustic is used in high end restaurants, offices and other spaces to provide amazing acoustic control and is a practical solution for the residential sector, too. It has Quiet Mark accreditation which consumers might recognise as attributed to low-noise electrical appliances including some brands of washing machine and kettle. It is also Bronze level Cradle to Cradle Certified® and can contribute to LEED, BREAM and WELL Building Standards.”A versatile seamless acoustic product Mono can be used on ceilings, walls or to create bespoke islands. It can be curved, easily transitioned into plasterboard or integrated into existing mouldings. The system achieves Class A sound absorption and Class A2 fire protection whilst delivering greater than 99% light diffusion. In common with other Rockfon acoustic systems, Mono is made with a core of naturally occurring, non-hygroscopic stone wool, which is virtually non-combustible and provides no sustenance to harmful micro-organisms. It also embodies high humidity resistance and is impervious to most environmental pressures. Danny again, “Using Rockfon Mono, we were able to keep the minimalist features of the house and the results in terms of sound reverberation are unbelievable. We have another two children now and I honestly think that might not be the case if we hadn't sorted out the unwanted noise!”

Meon

The client maintains over 50 car parks that include coastal parking as well as town and village centre parking across its region maintaining them in accordance with UK law and local parking regulations. To keep the lines in a suitable condition they have contracted out the line application to local contractors. However, in recent years they have found that they are left unable to levy parking fines and fees as the lines are in an unsuitable condition. They needed a more effective and responsive way of maintaining their car parking bays. Meon introduced them to 3 possible solutions each providing them with an option that could be delivered quickly, internally and at low cost. Option 1 the Purespray Driver which is an aerosol line marking trolley. Its low-profile design and the central position of the drawbar provides strong stability making ideal for smooth application on uneven asphalt surfaces The wide wheels and tread (32 mm) and long wheelbase secure straight running. The marking width is adjustable continuously from 5 to 12 cm The recommended TRACING PRO aerosol line marking paint is hard wearing and comes in handy 750ml size making easy to change The size makes it an ideal piece of equipment that can be kept in your support vehicle Option 2 The Ultraline Hand applied MMA line marking paint. Supplied in 8kg kits the UltraLine provides a cold applied material which consistently outperforms traditional thermoplastic on durability and lifespan. It gives excellent adhesion to asphalt and concrete surfaces and pavers. It cold application mean it is safe and environmentally friendly. It requires minimal investment in equipment and training and its availability in small kit form make it ideal for anyone considering maintaining their lines internally. Option 3 The ES1000 Fully electric airless lining machine Powered by high output batteries, the LineLazer ES1000 enables you to go green while still delivering cold applied, highly durable materials. Brett Landscaping

A housing development in Southminster has benefitted from having an access road installed with machine lay block paving to deliver a speedy and high quality finish in outstanding time. The access road was only 3m wide and by laying the blocks by hand, there would have been only enough room for two operatives to work side by side. This meant the entire 83m stretch of road would have taken three days to complete and would have delayed follow-on trades so the road surface needed to be completed quickly. Meon

Swindon Borough Council reached out to Meon regarding the solutions we provide for cold applied line marking systems, as part of their strategy to reduce carbon emissions. To demonstrate our solutions, we arranged a trial application at Lydiard Park, a 260- acre country park with a constant flow of visitors attending events, conferences, the Lydiard house museum or for a walk around the park. Swindon Council were keen to maintain this flow of visitors with the least possible disruption, a perfect scenario for the LineLazer ECO ES RoadLiner. The ES RoadLiner was transported to site in a compact Box trailer which was parked out of the way of visitors for the duration of works. The cold spray plastic line markings were applied along both sides of one of the roadways into the park to provide delineation to prevent visitors parking along the side of the roadway. These markings were applied using the ES RoadLiner at a maximum noise level of 82dB, quieter than a human’s voice, providing minimal disruption to visitors and nearby wildlife. The roadway was a total of 450 metres with varying gradients, which the ES RoadLiner was able to apply perfectly consistent markings on with the LineDriver ES set on a consistent speed setting. The ES RoadLiner applied a single white line on either side of the main road using Spectrum UltraStripe L224 with reflective beads. It left a clean, sharp, professional looking line, with a traffic time of 20 minutes it did not disturb any visitors or business in the area. Meon also applied UltraLine L210 at two of the entrances. - ES Roadliner- UltraStripe L224 - UltraLine L210
