We created these unique washrooms and changing areas including cubicles for users of all ages, for a luxury London family-focussed health club, part of the Third Space chain. The bespoke family changing area features large full-height unisex changing cubicles in white plus integral benching together with its popular Luminoso glass shower cubicles. The Luminoso range is available in a wide range of different colours, with a deep blue colour used for this project. In the washroom areas, Washroom installed its Marcato toilet cubicles plus the colourful fun Frutti cubicles with reduced height doors for younger users.

Washroom created the distinctive washrooms on four levels plus the new staff shower and changing area in the basement, all designed with the industrial heritage of the building in mind. Washroom manufactured and installed the vanity units which comprise a Corian worktop, individual countertop basins and inset waste bins set on a custom-made black metal frame. Washoom's full height Alto toilet cubicles were manufactured with a high pressure laminate finish in white, which together with its black high pressure laminate Concerto integrated duct panel system behind the WCs and urinals, creates a contemporary monochrome effect.

The reception area had to set the tone for the rest of the building so we designed the bespoke Corian reception desk to mirror the angular lines of the unique feature staircases in the building’s central atrium. The new washrooms feature our full height Alto toilet cubicles, specified with a real wood walnut veneer finish. We designed the bespoke white Corian trough-style vanity units with an integral handbag shelf, back-painted glass splashbacks and Tego hinged mirror units. In the basement staff shower and changing area, our SGL Forza lockers provide staff with a durable, secure storage facility.

When Shakespeare’s Globe looked at floors for their new education and rehearsal centre, Sackler Studios, they chose a Harlequin Activity floor with a hardwood oak surface. “It’s a product I am particularly familiar with due to working in and creating different spaces over the years and was something our acoustic consultant was keen on using. Helo were commissioned by two celebrated artists to build a bespoke combination Infrared and traditional sauna cabin in their listed London property. Working with specialist designer Tomas Klassnik of The Klassnik Corporation, Helo helped to realise an unusual and impressive cabin which made the best use of the space available. A large bulk head, which could not be amended due to the listed nature of the property, was accommodated with a dropped ceiling and enhanced with subtle down lighting to create a relaxing and tranquil environment.

Saint Hill Manor situated near East Grinstead, Sussex, is the British headquarters of the Church of Scientology. The Saint Hill castle was built in 1968, the refurbishment enhanced the existing beauty of the building by maintaining a consistent design theme throughout. Head of Logistics, Anna Pizevska chose Bushboard’s Paraline Platinum full height cubicle range, with beautifully crafted streamlined pilasters and headrail and Walnut doors. When leading beauty product franchise, MADI International, moved into its new international head office, Amtico Spacia Acoustic was chosen to add a warm and stylish feel to the building’s interior. In order to reflect the company’s ethos, the premises required flooring which was well designed, easy to clean and benefited from good acoustics. The latter was particularly important as, being a beauty business, MADI International experiences high footfall – including lots of high heeled and designer shoes.

Opened in 1927, the HH Wills Physics Laboratory was built as a tribute to HO Wills, head of the Wills tobacco empire, founder of the university and its first chancellor. The grade II-listed building recently benefited from a restoration project that has rejuvenated its exterior. The original, very old, possibly reclaimed, Cornish Delabole slates were in poor condition with more than half being unsalvageable; ‘blown’ from water penetration. Optimum sound control and humidity resistance were design imperatives for the new Strathclyde Sports Centre. HERADESIGN® and THERMATEX® Aquatec were specified for the project. HERADESIGN® Macro was installed on the walls around the swimming pool. THERMATEX® Aquatec formed the ceiling system in the adjoining changing, showering and circulation areas. Gareth McKnight, Kennedy Fitzgerald & Associates said, “The challenge was finding a system that met the anti-corrosive criteria and performed acoustically. An acoustician measured the reverberation times and HERADESIGN® performed well. With a white interior colour scheme HERADESIGN® brought texture, added depth and interest to the overall interior design.”

Washroom's Forza SGL lockers and Legato benches combine to create a colourful new changing area for an office cycle centre. The Forza lockers, fitted with key operated locks, were specified with doors in HPL using four different colours from Sonae to create the distinctive eye-catching design. The changing area also features freestanding island Legato bench units manufactured with solid grade laminate slats and back rest plus wall-mounted Legato benching units in the combined changing and shower cubicles. Washroom's Arpeggio Corian trough-style vanity in white feature inset square sinks, integrated waste bins and wall-mounted taps.

Jane Valentine’s brief for this project was to create a contemporary bathroom whilst honouring the original elements of a Victorian-style home built in 1867.Beautiful white walls act as the perfect canvas for striking matt black tapware and a black framed shower screen. We worked with the architectural team at Sparcstudio to deliver unique contemporary washrooms and changing areas for the Reebok Sports Club. We installed our highly engineered Marcato toilet cubicles, featuring a flush front and rebated finish, ensuring division panels and doors meet edge to edge for maximum privacy, in the washroom areas. Manufactured from solid grade laminate, the cubicles feature wood veneer doors complemented by yellow partitions. The same wood veneer was used for the Concerto integrated duct panelling system and urinal modesty panels. Our Luminoso glass shower cubicles were manufactured with a green coloured layer beneath the toughened glass.

The new washrooms created for this sophisticated office development in the heart of Mayfair were designed to blend classic and contemporary styles seamlessly, reflecting the building’s new unique interior design. Washroom's full height Alto toilet cubicles were finished in real wood dark oak veneer and were complemented by the bespoke Corian vanity units with integrated waste bins and bespoke Corian recessed duct bag shelf. Its Concerto integrated duct panelling system was faced with toughened back painted glass. For the staff shower and changing area, Washroom installed its Octave lockers, finished in the same dark oak real wood veneer.

Washroom created a unique ‘superloo’ design featuring Silestone vanities complete with glass upstands featuring a bespoke bronze effect hexagonal design for two adjacent properties on Cork Street in Mayfair. The self-contained superloo cubicles are the ideal way to maximise the available space. Each cubicle features Washroom's Concerto integrated duct panels, faced with back-painted toughened glass in two colours; grey behind the WCs and white underneath each vanity unit, are completed with bronze look metal vertical sections. Washroom created the staff shower and changing area featuring bespoke Legato benching and glass iLockers, back-painted to a cool grey.

Limes Place is a modern collection of 19 family homes, situated in Upper Harbledown, on the outskirts of Canterbury. The new Persimmon Homes development features a range of three, four and five bedroom detached houses priced between £377,000-550,000. While the surrounding area is encompassed by rural farmland and rustic woodland, it is also situated close to the busy A2 carriageway which regularly experiences heavy traffic heading to and from Dover and the M2 motorway, generating unwelcomed levels of noise pollution for existing and prospective residents.

Bexley College is just over 100 years old. It moved to its last site in Belvedere in the mid-1960s and has recently moved again to a new £20m campus in Erith. ‘The overall look of the new college was extremely important from the offset, Martin Peat, Vice Principal of Finance and Resources explains.' At the beginning of 2016, they started a major refurbishment of their head office. With around 700 employees, they were facing an issue how to meet the demand for hot and chilled filtered water across the three floors. A cause of staff frustration can be the inability to get a drink when they want it, and through the unique energy efficiency technology, the Billi Quadra range provides the solution. Following discussions and a site visit, based on the Billi recommendation, mothercare selected the very popular Quadra 460XL boiling and chilled system in chrome with matching drainage font.

Framlingham College was founded in 1864.The land on which the college was built was originally part of the Castle estate, left by Sir Thomas Hitcham in 1636 to Pembroke Hall, Cambridge. Included in the Governors’ recent £4million development initiative was the restoration of the original metal windows within the schools boarding accommodation. Clement were chosen to sensitively replace the windows in both the Stradbrook and Rendlesham buildings. To replicate the unusual, shaped head existing windows, the Clement W20 range of steel windows was specified with vertical pivots and genuine T glazing bars.

As part of a 200 Streetpod purchase deal with East Midlands Trains (EMT), a single Streetpod was installed amongst standard bike racks at EMT head office to trial the product to their own independent standards. “This is a fantastic product that will be very beneficial to our cyclists. Sedlescombe is England's oldest organic wine estate. The new owners have totally transformed the Vineyard's shop and tasting room with a stunning combination of steel and glass being incorporated through the whole building design. The enormous pair of radius head door screens provide a magnificent feature both internally and externally. They are in keeping with the natural surroundings and a fabulous backdrop to the shop. Inside you will find further Clement EB24 door screens and doors used to beautifully partition rooms and allow light to flow through the building.

Wharncliffe provides technology consultancy, selection, installation and support services to a wide range of businesses and industries. Due to their product offering and bespoke software packages the business has grown over the years and as part of an office furniture refurbishment project, to accommodate their growing workforce, Wharncliffe looked to danfloor to provide a long-term flooring solution for their Sheffield based head office. Not only was look and performance an important part of their decision, but with their technical telephone support team based within the open plan offices an acoustically sound environment was an essential requirement.

In fact, Jackon has been running a campaign in recent years to supply beehives made from the company’s polystyrene bead to the Bee Centre in Chorley. Like Jackoboard, the company says, these beehives will last a lifetime and provide better insulation than the alternatives, enabling the Bee Centre to continue its outreach work in support of honeybees and beekeeping.The surfaces of the Jackoboard system are said to provide an extremely strong bond for the tile adhesive and can be used on virtually any substrate. The boards are waterproof, thermally insulating, very lightweight and strong.The range can form the basis for a tiled finish, but it can also provide a substrate for wallpaper, paint or plaster. “So the possibilities for personal expression are virtually unlimited, allowing every bathroom to benefit from its own individual style,” Jackon says.Due to their core made of extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), Jackoboard construction boards and the wider product range are all lightweight and waterproof – a key benefit for bathroom new build and renovation.Jackoboard also makes installation “simple and easy”. These products provide what the company calls a high-tech design solution to enable the creation of a totally minimalist walk-in shower.Both products are designed be used in combination with Jackoboard Sloping Boards for the floor and Plano Boards for the walls, to provide everything needed for a “highly fashionable and innovative walk-in shower solution”.“From a design point of view, these products are completely on-trend, given that the minimalist look for walk-in showers is very popular at the moment,” Jackon says. “Achieving this with a highly effective drain solution, which also showcases the tiling to maximum effect, is a key selling point for these new products, used together with Jackoboard backerboards.”

St Vincent’s is a day centre and hostel, and Head Office of ‘The Passage’, London’s largest voluntary resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people. Established in 1980, The Passage provides resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to make lasting and long-term changes to their lives. Since its inception, The Passage has helped over 100,000 people in crisis. Officially opened in May 2016 by The Duke of Cambridge, St Vincent’s Centre has been recently refurbished providing an uplifting environment in which to help people transform their lives.

The LAMILUX Glass Roof PR60 was designed and installed as a continuous atrium using 60 panes of glass covering an area of 14m X 15m. The framing detail ensured a seamless transition to the wall abut at the head, whilst sitting on perimeter supports at the verge and cill. High performing glazing with double silver coating prevents overheating in addition to the glazing designed to be walked on for cleaning and maintenance purposes. LAMILUX were able to provide a better solution than the original concept by using larger panes arranged in four flush tiers installed with a 3° surface inclination.

A key requirement of this project was for the design and build to have a sustainable structural solution to meet the future needs. Komfort’s double glazed Polar Vision with a 15mm +/- 3-part deflection head and 2-part base was installed. This system was specified due to the line loading over an Atrium. Polar Vision gives you a minimal, seamless style with confident lines and unrestricted views. The system is dry jointed and constructed without mullion posts, offering up to 30 mins fire protection for both integrity and insulation, and can provide up to 48dB (Rw) sound performance.

In the development of the fenestration and curtain wall systems for Great Marlborough Street Reynaers worked closely with envelope contractors Baris Facades in order to develop no fewer than 6 bespoke cap profiles. One ensured that the insulated aluminium panels, which are a feature of the building, glazed flush with the curtain wall cap profiles. Another feature of Students Castle is the distinctive protruding box detail around the windows of the towers headed by aluminium louvre panels accommodated by bespoke capping. Further bespoke elements facilitate the omission of mullions on certain window positions, as part of the distinctive design.

AN ABERDEEN-based specialist school has received a recycled bench from Crown Paints as a lasting legacy of the relationship built up with the city’s council. The bench, which is made from recycled paint containers, was presented to students at Orchard Brae School to celebrate the ongoing work between Crown Paints and Aberdeen City Council. Caroline Stirton is the Executive Head Teacher at Orchard Brae School, which caters for children affected by severe and complex needs. She said: “We’re really impressed with our new bench and it provides the ideal spot for the children to relax.”

Grantley Hall is a dashing 17th-century stately hotel, bringing Gstaad glamour to the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Offering 47 exquisite bedrooms alongside Michelin-starred dining, the hotel has recently reopened after a four-year long and multi-million pound refurbishment. Bedrooms are decorated in elegant muted tones; soft shades of cream, gold and grey; button-back velvet armchairs; marble-topped bespoke furniture; and upholstered bedheads. There are shelves of modern hardbacks, televisions hidden behind paintings, decanters of damson gin, touch-button lighting, and even a bathrobe menu. Eurosafe Solutions undertook the challenge and provided a safety solutions to Scotland’s Largest Art Installation, the Kelpies. Working alongside the main contractor on the project, SH Structures, Eurosafe Solutions supplied and installed an internal ladder within each of the horse heads, one 19 meters high and another 21 meters high whilst also providing rope access assistance to the installers of the structures external cladding. The ladders provided by Eurosafe Solutions consist of multiple sections of Glideloc “Y” spar ladder sections, with a pivot section at the front of each which can be locked to prevent unauthorised use.

Premier Inn is currently renovating several of its hotels and is choosing to install Gradus’ stair edging. RXT521 stair edging comprises a PVC-u channel and riser, providing an all-round visual contrast. The insert extends around the leading edge of the profile to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging. Sarah Simpson, Head of Product Development for Premier Inn, said: “We have large volumes of guests and staff using the stairs in our premises every day, so ensuring we work with a supplier like Gradus is really important.”

Green Park Station provides access to the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines. The £60 million refurbishment to achieve step-free access included a copper canopy, a Portland stone entrance and a ramp from the ticket hall into the Park featuring green wall screening. Lang+Fulton designed and supplied 300sqm of panels to clad the raked inner facade of both retaining walls and the tapered wall-heads, which would support the green wall planting. The panels were made to custom sizes from Terra-34 grating and fixed with varying lengths of bracket to accommodate the stepped areas in the walls.

The Kennedy Building and Nuffield Department of Medicine building are part of a large research facility at Oxford University. Planet installed p100 double glazed partitioning system with a frosted glass decal pattern for visual contrast. Double glazed glass doors featured in all the meeting rooms and offices – some with venetian blinds for added privacy. Several offices run parallel to the laboratories and Planet used p20 for a slim-lined glass separation. Deflection heads were installed on all partition system wall cladding with back-painted glass screens throughout the main reception area

Monsoon Accessorize is a privately owned British company with two internationally renowned clothing brands: Monsoon and Accessorize. HMM Architects asked Planet to provide a specification for all the internal glazing and partitioning for the client’s striking new head quarters, known as the Yellow Building. On the lower ground floor, Planet Partitioning’s demountable p100DG double glazing provides frontage to all executive offices and meeting rooms. At the centre of the building, Planet AG installed full-height atrium glazing to the working areas looking directly into the atrium. On the top floor, Planet AG installed six-metre high glass partitioning.
