The specification of the 78 bespoke Laminate Z Lockers was 1650mm high, 384mm wide, and 450mm deep. Laminate Z Locker was installed with seat stands allowing the employees to sit whilst changing shoes rather than having to balance whilst standing. Sloping tops were added to Z Lockers, which is a great feature as it keeps dust from building up and prevents anything from being stored on top of the lockers. Furthermore, bench seating was requested for in ‘Country Oak’ for a dry area that is perfect for an atmosphere free of moisture and humidity.Our customers requested the laminate doors to be in ‘Country Oak’ whereas the carcass of the lockers was powder coated in ‘Black’ in the Helmsman colour range. The seats were Helmsman Ash Hardwood, and the stands were powder coated in ‘Black’ to blend with the lockers. Bespoke laminate Z lockers were finished with oval laminated number plates and Camlocks are an excellent choice as it assures the employees that their personal belongings are safe and secure.

We worked alongside Eos Interior Ltd, and our team manufactured and installed 34 Z lockers with bench seating. The Laminate Z lockers were wet specification which is ideal for environments that have humidity. Our Z lockers are an excellent choice as it is a small footprint but with maximized internal space.The measurements of the Z lockers were 1800mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep, along with the seat stands with the measurements of 300mm by 450mm. As we are a manufacturing company we are able to fabricate any bespoke lockers!

In the first construction phase alone,
Jotun’s Performance Coatings were meticulously specified for coating the 18,000 tons of steel in the main stadium.
University of Liverpool, Liverpool (2013)

The University of Liverpool developed a circular paved area outside of the listed Victoria Gallery and Museum, to commemorate HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee celebrations in 2012. The area was designed to host ceremonial presentations and to be used as a break out space. Artform were required to supply circular seating that would line up with the paving and suit the overall area. The Diamante Seating Range was chosen for having a flexible design that worked with the client's initial ideas. The project made a significant improvement to the previously unused space, linking the university to the city.

Nine Elms Point is a new apartment complex in London. A part of the project was to offer a green space of landscaped gardens for residents, to enhance the community feel. This included many walkways which required seating. Artform were consulted regarding the supply of standard products to the residential area, which needed a bespoke feel. The award winning Multiplicity seating, with its cast aluminium support structure was suggested, as this could allow for a selection of alternate timber to be used, giving the client flexibility and confidence that it would blend with the landscape.

Wythenshawe Hospital has implemented a £17 million development to double its available resources for patients, staff and visitors.
Included was the expansion of the children's Emergency Department, with a new purpose built paediatric area, specifically designed to improve the treatment for patients up to 16 years of age.
Artform Urban were asked to provide colourful, free-standing seating for a courtyard space, adjacent to the paediatric area.
The Loop Arc Bench was offered as a lightweight seating solution that could be weighted down while remaining moveable if necessary.

Artform Urban provide modern and stylish cantilever seating to a new Arts and Humanities facility, at the University of Liverpool. The Yoko Ono Lennon Centre is a newly built teaching and performance building, named in honour of Yoko Ono Lennon, an Honorary Graduate of the University (Hon LLD 2001), campaign ambassador and long-standing philanthropic supporter. It houses the 400 seat Tung Auditorium with space for a 70 piece orchestra, as well as a state of the art 600 seat lecture theatre. Architects and lead designers Ellis Williams worked alongside a number of acoustic and structural engineers in order to achieve optimum acoustic profile and capacity for the orchestra. Artform Urban was appointed by HA Civils to provide seating elements for the landscaped exterior space of the building. The Generation 50 Seat with cantilevered legs was specified for the project due to its minimal and contemporary design that includes a curved timber cladding that echoes that of the main entrance of the building. It is the first installation of Generation 50 in the UK. The Generation 50 range was designed by Robert Chipman and offers a flexible ensemble of style and mounting options.Available with four different cast aluminium powder-coated leg fixing options, a range of armrests and a number of timber options including ipe, jarrah, and thermally modified ash. Providing a perfect addition to complete a range of urban landscapes. The Yoko Ono Lennon Centre will develop a programme of new public-facing cultural highlights including concerts, lectures as well as other events in the University calendar, and will be the new home to the Music Department’s popular Lunchtime Concert Series.Yoko Ono Lennon said:“It gives me great pleasure to know that this centre will serve as a new opportunity for countless future artists and musicians to communicate their work with the local audience in Liverpool, and the world beyond. The Royal Academy of Music in Regent’s Park, London underwent a renovation but needed to ensure three qualities were met, creating stunningly beautiful, acoustically brilliant, and inspiring spaces for staff and students.The 309-seat Susie Sainsbury Theatre was completely refurbished and created the new 100-seat rooftop Angela Burgess Recital Hall.The project marked one of the most significant building and renovation projects in the Academy’s near-200-year history.To help achieve these qualities ROCKWOOL HardRock® Multi-Fix (DD) insulation board was considered and installed.
Edge Hill University, Library Roof Terrace, Ormskirk (2018)

The innovative £26 million building at Edge Hill University, contains the University’s Library, Careers and Student Services, within its contemporary 8,000 square metre space.
The original design included a roof terrace, which increased the outdoor space, with carefully thought out landscaping and additional seating for the Library.
The FGP range, by Artform, was selected due to the co-ordinated design, including seating & litter bins. A key feature was the use of anodised aluminium frames, which offers a tough and durable finish, due to it being through coloured and not painted.
University of West of Scotland (London Campus)

GOplastic Ltd were contacted by the Head of Estates and Campus Services Donna Vallance.The University’s requirements were for the supply of sustainable and environmentally friendly seating and tables for their London Campus buildings, based near India Dock in East London.A site meeting was agreed and proved to be extremely important for this project. The terrace had a narrow width which meant the correct size and arrangement of seating was essential.The terrace is on the 7th floor of the building, so this also needed considered planning in relation to delivery and installation.To overcome these challenges, GOplastic offered the Canvas Table and Canvas 120 benches. The Canvas bench and table are part of the Govaplast® range of award winning recycled plastic products. A distinct advantage for this project is the Canvas range can be delivered in semi kit form and easily transported to the 7th floor in the internal service lifts.Seating and tables to accommodate up to 50 people were delivered and installed in just one day.Job type: Supply and installWaste plastic prevented from landfill: 1.7 tonnes.

Artform Urban were approached by Illman Young Landscape Design in 2018 to discuss a range of design led street furniture elements including seating and litter bins to a brand new service station located at junction 1 of the M6 in Rugby, planned to open in 2021. The seating product selected was the Multiplicity Bench, a popular product featuring a cast aluminium leg frame with hardwood seat.The Box Wood Litter Bin featuring a Triangular Ashtray fixture was also supplied. This incredibly popular and versatile waste disposal unit can be customised with 4 different variations of door style. The Rugby Moto services opted for the hardwood timber slats version which complements the surrounding architecture and street furniture.The new MOTO services opened its doors to motorists in April 2021, the build will create 120 jobs and cost investment of £40 million. It is the UK's flagship electric vehicle charging motorway services, offering 24 rapid-charging points.

Bespoke external furniture for Cardiff & Vale College

The new city centre campus at Cardiff & Vale College sees a distinctive wedge shape building designed with a high focus on sustainability. Furnitubes designers worked closely with the project contractors and Architects involved who were keen to encourage open welcoming spaces for students and members of the public. Part of the solution included a bespoke Elements Podium platform, manufactured in iroko timber slats with steel supports. The platform created an informal seating provision to encourage interaction and socialisation amongst students. Also supplied to the development were a number of contemporary seats and benches to suit the character of the scheme.
Roof walkways installed at striking football stadium

Neaco’s Techdek aluminium grille system has been specified as maintenance access walkways totalling over 232m in length on the roof structure which crowns the 51,000-seat Estadio BBVA Bancomer in Monterrey, Mexico.
Designed by The Kansas City-based Populous, the $200 million stadium is home to Club de Fútbol Monterrey. It features more premium seating than any other football stadium in Latin America and is the most expensive stadium ever built in Mexico.
The aluminum-clad design reflects the history of brewing and steel manufacturing in Monterrey with the silhouette of brewing stills inspiring an asymmetrical shape.
White City Place, London

Sitting opposite the former BBC Television Centre and adjacent to Westfield Shopping Centre, this exciting new development includes 10.4 acres of open space in the form of a new public park for White City, 1500 new homes including affordable housing and commercial premises.
Buzon UK were specified to install the Buzon DPH pedestal system under a large area of timber tiered seating, creating the perfect space for the local community to enjoy.
Buzon pedestals were also used in the construction of various external stage decks, bench seating and large terraces within the commercial area of the development.
University Campus, Loughborough (2014)

Artform were approached to assist on external building works as part of Loughborough University’s campus master plan. The scheme consisted of an open plaza plus a more formal, secluded seating garden. The landscape architect, BCA Landscape, were looking for simple seating made from quality materials. In addition to providing an aesthetic appeal that complimented the campus, it was also important that the products chosen were tough and durable. Giada Benches and Salgueiro Granite Blocks were chosen for their simplicity, exceptional value and effortless functionality. The Giada’s overall weight also influenced the product choice by being unmovable once installed.

ACS International Schools educate over 3,300 students across four sites. Firm believers that sport plays a huge part in personal character building going far beyond physical development, the school decided to invest in the best flooring system.
Basketball and Volleyball are key activities within the new sports hall so in addition to two match basketball and three match volleyball courts there is a “show court” for both with seating for 400 spectators. The ideal DYNAMIK Helsinki sports floor system fully supports bleacher seating and the DYNAMIK Athen sports floor system was selected for the Dance Studio.

Working with Maylim, the Outdoor Deck Company were specified for a multitude of areas across this 39-acre site, including the supply and installation of Cedar privacy screening for all apartments on the podium level plus a large Iroko deck area alongside the retail outlets. The Outdoor Deck Company were also responsible for the supply and install of timber seating in the specially designed communal areas and Cumaru seating, planters and a bespoke pergola on Level 8.
Hawkley Parish Council, Hampshire

We were delighted to complete a playground regeneration project for at this stunning location in rural Hampshire. The site was situated on an idyllic location, with a cricket pitch on one side and sweeping downland countryside also adjacent. The council was looking for a natural aesthetic to match the surroundings, and Lappset glue laminated timber was an excellent fit. We installed a new 137124m multiplay, 2 flat seat swings, 2 cradle seat swings and a basket swing, and the surfacing was completed with black wet pour rubber. We very much enjoyed working on this project and thanks to the council for commissioning us to carry out the works.
Housing Development – Farnham

We constructed new LAP and LEAP playgrounds for a large housing developer in Farnham, Hampshire, in the summer of 2022. The estate occupied a pleasant setting on the outskirts of the town, and as such timber equipment was requested to help blend in with the surroundings. The 137100 multiplay anchored the area, providing a great combination of climbing, slides, and challenging play features. A Waltz rotator, zig zag tack, seesaw, and two bay swing complete with a basket swing, 1 x flat seat and 1 x cradle seat completed the area, which is sure to serve as a well loved neighbourhood play area for years to come.

Our team at Helmsman manufactured, delivered, and installed a variety of our Heated Lockers. There were 35 three-compartment Laminate Lockers to accommodate 105 people, as well as installing 28 Z Lockers to accommodate 56 people.The lockers were manufactured with wet specifications which means that the Laminate lockers are manufactured for an environment where there is humidity, which can also withstand rust. The lockers are manufactured with an aluminium and stainless-steel body and laminate doors.The specifications of the three-compartment lockers and Z lockers were to be 1775mm high, 298mm wide, and 450mm deep. Along with the lockers, the lockers were all installed with seat stands. The measurement of the seat stand was 300mm wide and 450 deep, the stands were powder coated in colour ‘Black’, to match the body of the lockers. Whereas the seating was in our standard slats of Ash Hardwood.The body of the Heated Lockers was powder coated in ‘Black’. The laminate doors were in the vibrant colour of ‘Ballerina’. The heated lockers were finished with Lowe & Fletcher Nimbus in ‘Black’ which is a great choice as it secures personal belongings, along with many benefits such as having a collection of user modes such as public, private, or technician mode.

Harlequin worked closely with the Royal Academy of Dance throughout the whole planning and development process. After working with Harlequin for After working with Harlequin for over 30 years, the RAD knew that they wanted Harlequin floors in their new studios. Harlequin supplied and installed over 1200m2 of Harlequin Activity sprung floor and Harlequin Cascade vinyl performance floor with BioCote antimic antimicrobial protection. Harlequin water cut the mirrors to fit the wall mounted ballet barres directly to the walls to create a seamless and neat finish. Along with the studios, RAD’s new home for dance has a 193-seat pe 193-seat performance space with Harlequin Activity and Harlequin Cascade to showcase the RAD’s dancing talent.
