Sandy Park is a four-star Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. At nine-storeys, the L-shaped hotel will feature leisure facilities on the ground floor and a restaurant on the top floor. The development comprised of the demolition of a bungalow to construct a 250 bedroom hotel, which has access to the existing Sandy Park rugby club stadium complex via a footbridge. The new hotel site is situated alongside the M5 to the south of the main stadium car park adjacent to Old Rydon Lane.Cellecta’s HiDECK Overlay 18 was specified by Sigmat in this project as the overlay flooring solution. It’s ideal for flooring applications incorporating an underflooring heating system due to its high thermal conductivity which provides rapid reaction times, saving on running costs. In addition, its high density makes it perfect for a variety of acoustic applications.DNA Integrated Construction was awarded this 24,000m² contract to construct this development in Exeter.

Since it first opened back in October 2017, Liverpool Shopping Park has become one of the UK’s biggest retail and leisure destinations featuring fashion, food and recreation. Facilities teams need a product that performs at a high level and adheres to all the various restrictions and regulations.Precision in Every DetailGWR chose a specification with outstanding performance and design flexibility, but they also earned LEED and BREEAM points for sustainability.INTRAform is EPD-verified and uses 100% recycled aluminium frames which can be recycled or reused again and again. We collaborated closely with the design team and provided detailed drawings and measurements for the Entrance Matting to ensure the success of the project.Even with such detailed specifications and drawings however, we understand the allowance for anomalies on site. INTRA supplied the planks 50mm oversized for on-site trimming. The installers could get a snug fit and adjust the planks incrementally to align accurately with the other textural and contrasting features in the flooring scheme.Elevating EntrancesThe Railway Entrance Matting now continues the signposting sections, linking up with the station flooring designs perfectly.Reactions and feedback from staff and passengers using the new station have been excellent.The Entrance Matting is already delivering on the objectives of keeping people safe, protecting the flooring beyond and providing key visual cues. One Hyde Park, owned by CPC Group, is a high-end residential and retail park. Due to the nature and standard of the construction, developers required the highest quality tools, equipment and materials to construct the building. The ambition was to keep the design lines sleek, elegant and spacious, while still achieving the required high thermal performance expected in in a modern prestigious development in the heart of London. Insulating the floors introduced another level of complexity and so the search for something that was up to the challenge began.After meeting with developers, our experts concluded that SuperFOIL SFUF would be the most practical and efficient solution to the project. With a slim profile of just 6mm and R value of 0.8, SFUF gives a great solution where floor depths are limited. SFUF has a slightly different build-up to our typical roof / wall products in that it doesn’t include layers of wadding, this makes it much slimmer and less compressible, making it an ideal combination for solid floor applications. Unlike our other products, SFUF is also typically installed with no air gaps which, again, contributes to its slim profile. The top layer of SFUF is a polythene membrane which provides protection allowing it to be screeded onto directly with no need for additional layers to be installed. This also makes SFUF ideal for use with underfloor heating systems. The application of SuperFOIL SFUF was a success and the building was finished in 2010. Starting at £20million, One Hyde Park residential properties began selling soon after the completion of the complex. SuperFOIL SFUF provided a solution to achieve a high level of thermal performance in this prestigious development. SFUF has an impressive thermal r-value achieving excellent performance in a minimal amount of space 

UltraScape Pro-Bed HS, Pro-Prime and Flowpoint ECO are being used to help make Bradford’s City Park a world class public park. Bradford Council, in conjunction with landscape architect Gillespies and consulting engineer Arup, have specified UltraScape’s Pro-Bed HS Bedding Mortar, Pro-Prime Slurry Primer, EP-R9 Epoxy Bedding Mortar and Flowpoint ECO flowable grout – in Natural and Charcoal – for use by the main contractor Birse Civils, to lay the setts, porphyry and sandstone in and around the Mirror Pool.

One Hyde Park is a major residential and retail complex adjacent to Hyde Park. Owned by a consortium consisting of Christian Candy owned CPC group and the Qatar Royal family, designed by Sir Richard Rogers (Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners) the development has 86 residential properties ranging from approx. £20m, making it one of the most prestigious & luxurious residential developments in the world. Kaldewei were able to establish and deliver a specification of our Classic Duo 1600, 1700 & 1800 bathtubs to be under-mounted by marble. The scheme was delivered 2009/10.

Magna Park in Milton Keynes is an extensive distribution and logistics hub, which plays a crucial role for major retailers across the UK and Europe. Units in the park are occupied by the likes of Amazon, John Lewis and River Island. Brandsafe has worked on a number of these buildings, most recently the Latitude warehouse. In order to protect the 12.5m high internal pillars, polymer column protectors with additional forklift impact skirts were supplied and installed by Brandsafe. HGV wheel stops were also provided to protect the building and its occupants from impact damage.

Recycling bins displaying eye-catching graphics have been delivered to Telford Town Park by Broxap to drive up recycling rates.

Cairngorms National Park Authority are responsible for conservation, heritage, land management, ranger services, skills development, recreation and outdoor access, education and visitor experience, inclusion and outdoor learning. With a requirement to extend existing offices to create a modern working environment which would better support their service provision they appointed Moxon Architects and local contractor A W Laing Ltd to carry out the design and alteration works.

This multi award winning seafront park was inspired by the meeting of coastal processes and the interventions used to control them and celebrates the fascinating heritage of Rhyl in the form of a ‘beachcombing’ artwork experience.

Cannon Park Shopping Centre in Coventry has undergone a significant transformation. Led by MPR, the redevelopment project includes refurbishment of the existing shopping centre, construction of a new 780-bed student residence, and the addition of a new 400-space multi-storey car park. Biotecture was brought on board to incorporate living walls into the development.In 2021, Biotecture installed a 690 square metre green wall on the multi-storey car park as part of the project’s first phase. We then continued to collaborate with the project’s architects, Urban Innovations, and landscape architects, Parkhood, on phase 2; 9 living walls on the student accommodation phase. The vertical greening was an important part of the scheme, helping to help soften the development, improve air quality, contribute to biodiversity net gain.The living walls are integrated into the building fabric. We worked closely with the design team to ensure that the living walls not only aligned with the desired aesthetics but also met the technical requirements.We used our BioPanel system which uses Grodan® as the growing medium. Grodan is dimensionally stable, chemically inert, and water retentive resulting in healthier and longer-lasting plants.

The new Springs retail and leisure facility at Thorpe Park, Leeds, includes cinemas, shops, restaurants and a gym.Part of the development was to build a state-of-the-art gymnasium for PureGym.The acoustic consultants specified CDM Stravitec to design and build a dry damped floating floor as part of the shell and core to ensure that the gymnasium did not disturb the restaurants and shops located directly below.The Stravifloor Channel floating floor was to be installed within a tight four week deadline and this was successfully completed.

Margam Park’s new washrooms needed to be durable, easy to maintain and impress their visitors.Margam Country Park in Wales is owned and administered by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. The estate containing a Tudor Gothic Mansion was once owned by the Mansel Talbot family in the 1800s. The 850 acre country park is rich in history, with evidence of over 4,000 years of continuous habitation and use by man. This means it has exceptional historic value, with some of the country’s finest architectural treasures. Paired with its natural beauty, wildlife and many activities and facilities, the Margam Country Park has evolved into a popular attraction which is visited by 350,000 people per year, including locals and tourists alike.Neath Port Talbot Council came to Bushboard Washrooms for the refurbishment of the public washrooms. The main concern for this project was ensuring that the toilets were able to withstand the high traffic the park receives each year. As Alison Lloyd, the Commercial Officer at Margam Country Park, explained “visitors often judge a site on the quality of the loos”, this meant opting for a robust washroom range which offered a modern, high quality finish that will remain presentable at all times.Initially designed for secondary schools with the key focus on privacy, our HiZone for Schools toilet cubicle at standard height was decided as the perfect specification for the country park’s needs. Alison put emphasis on requiring an “indestructible build”, the cubicles pilasters and partitions are fixed to the floor in aluminium channels which creates a strong foundation. The toilet cubicles were manufactured in Solid Grade Laminate which has a compact core making it a highly durable material. It is also impervious to water which makes it easy to clean as the panels do not need to be dried meticulously afterwards to prevent damage.The design of the public washroom was carefully considered. The council wanted to cater for everyone who would visit their park, with additions such as child height basins, family changing areas and enlarged toilet cubicles with grab rails for ambulant/disabled users. In particular, the park recognised parents with their children would regularly visit the park. They designed a superloo style room to utilise space, this was larger than a typical toilet cubicle which gave users more room to manoeuvre within the washroom space.Ease of cleaning was fundamental to the project because of the high traffic the toilet cubicles will endure. Our own brand SanCeram’s Langley WCs and urinals were chosen which both offer a smooth and rimless design to eliminate dirt traps, it also suited the “clean lines” Alison was looking for. Margam Park had sanitaryware and brassware ready plumbed which meant that that it arrived pre-fitted to panels assembled onto a rigid steel frame, this saved both time and money. Being a refurbishment project it meant the washrooms did not have to stay closed to the public for a long period of time.Vanity units were also supplied as Ready Plumbed Modules and designed to hit the parks public washroom brief. Solid Surface Counter Top vanity units are ideal for busy washroom environments as they are easy to maintain. Alison wanted to make sure that the washroom had ‘clean lines to clean’, so integrated inset wash hand basins were supplied which have a flush design leaving no dirt traps for a hygienic hand wash station whilst also creating a seamless, high-end overall look.Alison told us that the colours were “chosen to fit with the Country Park, a wood feel and green panels to make it bold and stand out”. Lime Green and Bleached Oak laminates paired with Apple Solid Surface colours from our standard range complemented the mansion scenes within the washroom perfectly. Overall the review of the new washrooms at Margam Park were “ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! We opened in time for the Early May Bank Holiday and feedback from public was great and staff love the clean lines and bright colours.”

Situated in Devils Bridge just outside Aberystwyth, Wales. Since opening in 1962, thousands of campers have stayed at Woodlands Caravan Park enjoying the rural location, tea rooms, waterfalls and the famous three bridges. The park draws in hundreds of campers every year, the park’s manager Victoria Chism wanted to update the washrooms so that site appealed to even more visitors. Victoria chose the Bushboard’s Quadro range in SGL for the ladies and gents washroom cubicles and shower areas. Quadro has a unique pilaster shoe allowing for extra floor fixings and a continuous headrail, delivering both strength and style.

Alison Park Hotel is a conversion of a former hotel to a complete renovation of the building creating ten new apartments and a townhouse. The project also included a new building extension to a further townhouse, as well as a revamping of the garages into 3 cottages. Situated in the centre of the picturesque and well-known spa town of Buxton, Alison Park Hotel benefits from features such as mock timber framing, and oriel windows and doors.Cellecta ScreedBoard 28 was specified for this project due to its unrivalled performance. The unique interlocking edges on our ScreedBoard 28 mean that no screws are required, making it easy to install, a convenience on site saving installation time.Amos Group was awarded this 1,500m² contract to develop this refurbishment and extension.

Construction of the new £12million Stane Leisure Park in Stanway has been completed. The Churchmanor Estates Company plc, the developer, started work on the scheme in March 2017 bringing at least 300 jobs to the area.

This project, forms a significant part of the University of Reading’s efforts to further encourage interaction between business and academia. Once completed, the Science Park will provide 800,000 sq ft of laboratory and office space in a campus style setting designed to foster collaboration between innovative, technology-led companies. It is designed to anticipate change, be flexible and adaptable to suite a new generation of occupiers. Haling Park Road is a development consisting of nine self-contained residential units with dedicated parking spaces for each flat. Located only minutes from East Croydon Station, each timber frame unit accommodates four individuals, providing a new beginning for singles and families. The lower ground floor level is screened from the public, providing privacy to its residents, with accommodation throughout the roof space.Cellecta’s ScreedBoard 28 was specified by Tone Architecture due to it being suitable for all floor types and is frequently viewed as the solution of choice for new build and refurbishment developments. Thames Park School was one of the country’s first schools to be built through the Department for Education’s Modern Methods of Construction. Using off site building techniques, the objective was to reduce construction times compared to traditional build and also reduce the carbon footprints of their schools.

Located in Anglesey and operated by Bangor University, Menai Science Park is the flagship building for Wales' first dedicated science park. The facility is built to BREEAM Excellent standards and comprises of 5,000 sqm of offices, laboratories and workshop space for up to 700 people - from start-up businesses to large corporate companies. The building's structure features a striking white continuous flowing ribbon that forms wall, floor and roof surfaces and wraps around the glazed facade to the front elevation. The two-storey entrance connects to the main three-storey, traditional brick cavity U-shape building,m which houses the laboratories and offices and features a facade that encloses an open courtyard. Aluminium curtain walling from Technal was installed and spans 74m x 11m. This had to follow the curvature and flow of the ribbon at the point of fabrication. The key area for this facade is the first floor horizontal and sloping ribbon - the curtain walling continues behind the Corian rainscreen. One particularly challenging detail is the 6m glazed linking walkway that connects the innovation area to the brick-built main building. Designed with a double-pitched roof, the curtain walling follows the long contours across the two pitches of the roof at an angle. This involved calculations and modelling to accommodate the difficult compound angles to ensure the desired architectural intent was achieved. Throughout the building, aluminium casement windows have been installed, some as inserts within the facade including automatic opening vents, and to the courtyard elevations. Completing this contemporary outdoor space, the windows are complemented with timber rainscreen panels.

This new adventure village at a large Haven holiday park in Gwynedd, Wales required a safe decorative surface for visitors. The light buff coloured asphalt complemented both the design of the adventure village and the coastal setting far more than conventional black asphalts or block pavers.

The £20million project, known as M-SParc, is a subsidiary of Bangor University and boasts labs, office space and business support to companies. Completed in February 2018, Menai Science Park in Anglesey is already making waves throughout the landscaping and architecture industry. The facility is officially Wales’ first dedicated science park, offering a staggering 31,200 square feet of lettable space which includes 45 offices, 23 laboratories and two double height workshops.

Project: Heythrop Park, Warner Leisure​Location: The Cotswolds​Design Team: Design LSM​Flooring Contractor: Carters Flooring, Derby The stunning Heythrop Park is an 18th century country house, which has recently undergone a £40 million refurbishment. It was designed by Architect Thomas Archer at the request of the 1st Duke of Shrewsbury, Charles Talbot in 1704, and was inspired by the Italian Baroque style, which the Duke had picked up on his travels to Rome. ​Throughout the years it has been passed through families and has also been used as a College and Training Centre, and then onto a Golf & Country club around 1999.​Bourne Leisure purchased Heythrop Park in 2018, and then reopened in 2022 after the spectacular transformation.  Throughout the Hotel you will find our Brass Flooring Profiles and Stair Nosings, all in a satin brass finish, giving that luxurious but subtle gold detailing.

At 1.5 million sq ft, the Cobalt Business Park is the UK’s largest office park. The development is home to a number of public and private organisations such as the Department for Work and Pensions, North Tyneside Council, Utility Wise, Procter & Gamble, and Accenture.Along with the offices, the park also houses three data centres, designed to store data for companies. Fosse Park in south east Leicester showcases Biotecture's expertise in enhancing the shopping experience through biophilic design at a time when retailers are looking for different ways to attract people back to their shops. Owned by The Crown Estate, Fosse Park is one of Britain’s largest out of town retail centres, and has recently undergone a £168m extension by Bowmer & Kirkland, increasing retail space by 40%. Biotecture's living walls were installed as a key architectural feature of the new retail space.

Peel Park Quarter is a new, state of the art student accommodation complex at the University of Salford. The £81 million project was managed by Graham Construction who aimed to achieve long-term sustainability for the new student village. Tobermore helped the contractor accomplish this goal with the provision of an attractive SuDS solution for the expansive landscape.

Previously accommodation for the Armed Forces, The Edge at Abbey Park in Colchester has undergone an extensive internal and external refurbishment to create 80 new apartments across four blocks. Kirkby Stephen Business Park is the brainchild of two local farmers, who pooled their energy, investment and resources to build new, bright, modern units for local businesses. They chose Steeldor for the new office units, balancing the need for security without compromising on looks.The Park, which enjoys wonderful views of the Pennine Hills and surrounding countryside, is close to the centre of the Cumbrian market town. Nestled between the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, those who work and play in Kirkby Stephen are no strangers to the outstanding natural beauty that surrounds them.

Artform Urban Furniture supplies a range of specified bottle refill water fountains to Manchester city centre's first new public park in more than 100 years.Mayfield park sees the transformation of a vast, mostly derelict, former industrial site next to Piccadilly Station into a stunning, accessible and varied green space for all to enjoy. The 6.5-acre park surrounds the banks of the River Medlock and features green lawns and gardens with trees and shrubbery, as well as walkways for the public to use and a large children's play area.The site has an industrial history of innovation spanning back to the 1700’s and the park landscape recognises this by utilising old industrial rusted cast iron relics from the mills as sculptures that are dotted around the space.The Fuente Fountains in Corten steel were specified by Studio Egret West for the project, to match the surrounding industrial aesthetic of the park.The fountains have been placed across the park to provide accessible water refilling stations for visitors to use and reduce plastic waste. Water fountains are becoming a popular choice in urban spaces with developers recognising a push needed towards reducing plastic waste. The Fuente Fountain is available in a variety of shapes and finishes as well as a version with an additional tap lower down with a stainless steel bowl for dogs.Mayfield Park is part of a £1.4bn development that will continue over the next decade and will eventually completely transform the whole surrounding area near Piccadilly station into a vibrant new neighbourhood - delivering 1,500 homes, 1.6m sq ft of commercial space, as well 300,000 sq ft of retail and leisure.The park opened to the public in September 2022 and is a welcome addition to the city centre bringing a much-needed oasis of green space for local residents, visitors and communities across Manchester.

Elephant Park, in essence a sculptural work of art, features rocky boulder mounds over two metres high, covering an area of 420sq metres and is constructed entirely from 600 colourful Prima Porphyry stone blocks and boulders, an igneous rock formed 230 million years ago, all meticulously sourced by Hardscape from a quarry in the Albiano region of northern Italy.
