We are able to manufacture engineered wood stair units to match our flooring with the same colour and finish.The stair units include the tread and riser and can be made to exact sizes if we have detailed drawings. This means installation costs will be less. These stair cladding units can be fully bonded to old stairs, concrete stairs or Steel stair structures.The cost of these stair units are considerably more than our standard stair nosings and a deposit will be required before production because they will be to your specification. Lead times are around 12 weeks.

Worcester has invested in a new £10m swimming pool as part of the city’s Perdiswell Leisure Centre refurbishment. RCM supplied the colourful Trespa® Meteon® cladding panels to the project, which were used on the outside of the pool area and entrance. RCM also supplied the colour-matched fixings and associated trims and the aluminium support frame system to this worthy project.

21 new energy efficient homes featuring Accoya wood cladding were completed for Eildon Housing Association at Tweedbank, Melrose in the Scottish Borders in 2007. Eildon chose Accoya wood after learning of the product’s aesthetic & durable qualities. More than 11,000 linear metres was used, finished with a quality Sikkens coating by Environmental Coatings. Project: Manufacture and installation of bespoke concrete cladding in a high-tech media room. The design comprised of floating 3D concrete seat wrapped around the fire place and individually sized concrete panels for chimney breast, wall, floor and ceiling. All panels were fitted using mechanical and chemical fixings.Client: Tigg & Coll Architects  Materials used: Large format Plain and GAP GRC panels in Rough Mist finish and sealed with hydrophobic agent and clear sealant.On this challenging project we worked closely with Tigg & Coll Architects to manufacture and supply bespoke concrete cladding for new multipurpose media room.The large format bespoke Plain and GAP concrete panels were cast to the client’s individual and unique specifications using our BTX Ultra High Performance Concrete mix with a hydrophobic agent to limit moisture absorption. The panels were cut to fit around the fireplace, floor, walls and ceiling and then treated and sealed to make them stain proof.The finished effect is a modern, industrial look that complements client’s design style and creates a truly unique and highly relaxing space.

A former brownfield site on Ascot Road, Watford is undergoing a transformation to provide a new residential-led quarter with much needed new homes and retail space.This project, by development and investment company, Orion, will comprise of buildings between six and eight storeys, with 489 new homes for the private sector of which 35% will be affordable homes, in addition to two lower floors of retail space.Orion is leading the development process at Cassiobridge Quarter, which centres on regenerating under-utilised land and buildings, making them into landmark destinations and improving the local community with enhancedinfrastructure and aesthetics.RCM was appointed to supply its high-performance sheathing board, DensGlass which will make up part of the through wall system to an RC frame with a lightweight steel frame infill.DensGlass consists of a fibreglass mat with a gypsum core, designed to provide a high degree of protection from the elements in external cladding constructions.Widely recognised by the GOLD colour, DensGlass fiberglass mat gypsum sheathing board, has an exemplary track record that spans more than 30 years.Thanks to its ability to protect the building envelope against incidental moisture damage during and after construction, DensGlass Sheathing is a preferred substrate under brick, stone and rainscreen cladding and suitable for lightweight steel frame, timber frame, modular / offsite and concrete frame construction types.In addition to the above features, DensGlass is A1 non-combustible, CE marked, lightweight with easy scribe and snap properties.On completion of the project, Cassiobridge Quarter with its modern design will provide a stylish appearance to the area with much-needed homes and a new community for residents to enjoy.

The University of Warwick is investing £49m into sport and wellness across the University with a brand new Sport and Wellness hub as the sporting centre of the campus. RCM were appointed by Sage Building Envelope Constructors to supply approx. 3,000m2 of Swisspearl rainscreen cladding in order to bestow the building with a modern and contemporary feel.

After first cleaning the roof and attending to rusted areas with Liquasil’s corrosion primer, it was the coated with Metalseal 20 from Liquasil, using airless spray equipment. The specification for this roof was for a special RAL colour. Only Liquasil can make silicone coatings in any RAL colour, so Metalseal 20 was specified for the project. This roof was completed in Forest Green.

This 4,000 square metre roof in Lichfield, completed by Projects UK Ltd, was in need of refurbishment and Liquasil's BBA Approved Metalseal 20 was specified for its 20 year guarantee against manufacturing defects. Jacksons installed Barbican Imperial fencing and gates at St Mary and St Ethelburga Catholic Church in Barking to protect the new Presbytery and prevent people aimlessly or intentionally walking through the church yard, reducing the chance of crime.

Brushed stainless steel column casings from the Pendock Radius range are being used to conceal structural steelwork at University College London’s East Campus at Pool Street on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford.Each of the 12 column casings, which are 775mm in diameter and range in height from 3215 to 3370mm, are installed in four external locations on the third level of the university building’s two towers, which function as student relaxation areas.As the column casings are exposed to the elements, their stainless steel construction is an ideal solution as they’re weather resistant, virtually maintenance free and highly durable.

The school had a history of leaks in the DT rooms above which a profiled sheet metal roof was installed.Following many attempted repairs, Bauder was commissioned to carry out a roof survey on the 228m² profiled sheet metal roof. UWE Bower Ashton, Completed Summer 2017. Timber Cladding: Untreated Siberian Larch was supplied for this project, this will weather down to a silver grey to blend in to its surroundings, and contrast the other materials on the building. NORclad Grade B was supplied, offering a fair spread of knots, along with the distinctive grain of the species. Profiles: Horizontal cladding was a bespoke chamfered profile (Ex 25 x 100mm) Vertical timbers on the building are in a number of dimensions, Ex 25 x 100, Ex 50 x 50mm, and Ex 50 x 75mm.

Wireworks London approached us looking for a modern industrialised Oak to clad onto a winding staircase in a beautiful London home. Amongst the options we presented was our CH-E780. This a White Oak with a brushed and band sawn surface giving it a clean yet worn texture. The rusticgrade Oak allows for some knotting to appear without it overpowering carefully detailed floorboards.These boards are finished with a commercial grade UV cured oil that makes it hard wearing and easy to maintain. This particular product has also been fitted throughout the busy, modern offices at 3 Shortlands, Hammersmith. It is easily one of our most popular surfaces and finishes.Wireworks didn’t want a separate stair nose component, instead opting for mitring the length of the boards to a 45-degree angle and jointing them together with a biscuit and high quality PVA glue. The effect is a stunning cascade of band sawn Oak which looks like it was purpose built in a specialist workshop or factory. This an excellent example of the ingenuity of the team at Wireworks and the adaptability of wood flooring.Would you like to see this type of cladding in using a herringbone parquet? NORclad supplied nearly 7,000/LM of pre-coated Thermowood across this contemporary project in Berkhamsted.Thermowood is a great timber when it comes to applying a coating, after going through the heat treating process, the Finnish grown European Redwood/Whitewood (Scandinavian Pine/Spruce) is more stable. It is suitable in conditions of changing humidity, and its thermal insulation properties are improved, ideal for use in exposed areas such as External Timber Cladding.The heat treatment process enables the use of Scandinavian Redwood in areas requiring a service life of up to 30 years without the need for any further preservative or coating to be applied. The process removes resin from timber, as a result there is no resin leakage or “bleed” through the surface coatings. The effect of this together with the improved stability can lead to a lower maintenance requirement, combined with the application of the Sansin SDF system, which will further protect the outside of wood.The SDF product also protects the inside by allowing the timber to ‘breath’ – helping to prevent moisture from getting trapped in the wood and causing rot.

A landmark in the regeneration of Spitalfields,The Steward Building is situated within the historically and architecturally interesting Artillery Passage Conservation Area.The site required the highest quality stainless steel louvre as a street front cladding, providing ventilation and visual screening, on two elevations of a prime office development.The design, which was developed by Lang+Fulton, featured recessed supports for the panels and incorporated a sliding door with concealed gate hardware to achieve a seamless aesthetic.The louvred panels were made from DeltaBox/SS-90 a pressure locked stainless steel product.

This development includes large areas of external elevations & soffits cladded in Accoya. Accoya was also used for the Brise Soleil canopy detailing on the drive-through lane & the double height curtain walling pictured on the front elevations. For this natural aesthetic the pre-finished Accoya profiles were given one (natural plus-ctec) base coat & three top (sansin translucent) coats. As one of the most durable products on the market, Accoya is the ideal material for projects such as this. Accoya is 75% less likely to shrink & swell in variable weather, allowing it to retain its structural integrity.

Few people realise that it is possible to clad old stairs with our engineered herringbone parquet floors. It is a specialist skill and you should only employ trusted professionals who have the specialist equipment. The parquet blocks used here are unfinished so that you get perfect square edges. They are then oiled after all other works are completed so that you get your perfect floor. There is no separate stair nose piece as the top layer of solid Oak is a good 4mm thick and this allows the fitters to create an accurate mitre join.

Forming part of a £400m Birmingham City Centre scheme the new 17 storey, 250 bedroom Holiday Inn Express forms part of the 2.3m square foot Arena Central mixed-use development. RCM supplied approx. 5,000m2 of ACM rainscreen cladding from Vitrabond, Trespa Meteon panels, the aluminium facade support framing system and fixings to this newly built hotel.

This 10,000 sq metre roof was in need of complete refurbishment and Liquasil's Metalseal was specified because it provided all parties with complete protection, with a Latent Defects Insurance Guarantee being provided upon completion. Cut edge corrosion was treated and the roof cleaned prior to the application of the single-coat Metalseal 20. The unique Liquasil Latent Defects Guarantee covers safe access, workmanship, materials and specifier's professional management fees, along with Professional Design. BBA Approval adds even more reassurance to the specifier.

There was no brief other than something exceptional. This project is one that has been designed by the home owner and has been executed with so many different details that this traditional malleable aluminium allows. The Traditional Textures aluminium range of finishes have all been used with tapered panels, curved panels, hidden gutters and a variety of different width panels. This Aerospace project utilised the whole Troax Commercial Partitioning offer. Utilising our Single Skin and Double skin steel partitioning. Using full steel panels, Steel glass steel panels and steel mesh steel panels, this project truly encapsulated all different bespoke offerings. Troax Lee grid ceilings were also installed on this project and half height partitioning also to section off certain areas.

6500SQM OF OPTIMA FC IN COR-TEN WEATHERED STEEL RAINSCREEN PANELS HAVE BEEN USED IN THE STATE-OF-THE-ART STUDENT ACCOMMODATION ON RIVER STREET.As described by Architect Simpson Haugh, the student accommodation comprises three distinct volumes: a volume stepping from ten storeys fronting Garwood Street, down to five storeys facing River Street, and a 32-storey tower.Cor-Ten, a steel alloy which forms a rust-like appearance over 18 – 36 months, was selected for the project due to its striking appearance and in tribute to the copper shades surrounding River Street’s built environment. Cor-Ten is immediately recognisable with its bright red and orange tones.The strong textures of the Cor-Ten provide a fantastic contrast to the dark-blue glass cladding covering the inner elevations.Originally designed for use in coal carriages in 1930s American, the name Cor-Ten was patented in 1933 by U.S Steel, deriving its name from ‘Corrosion Resistance’ and ‘Tensile Strength’.Whilst it might look like the metal is rusting, the outer layer of the metal is actually undergoing a planned corrosion process under the influence of outdoor weather elements, which protects the metal from further corrosion over time.Referencing the corrosion process, Sotech Specification Manager Charlie Mclaughlin said: “Cor-Ten panels developed a patina in-situ on the buildings as a response to the elements. The local climate should be ideal. It was great to do another job with Simpson Haugh, especially on a site just a stone throw from their office.”Sotech’s Optima FC secret fix hook-on rainscreen system was installed to carry the panels, this fully tested system had the added precautions of stainless steel hooks and polyester powder coated rails to eliminate any bimetallic reaction between the Corten panels and aluminium support system.As you can see from the project photos, the Cor-Ten panels were perforated with hole cluster patterns positioned to coordinate with extractor vent outlets in the backing wall. This is achieved through a laser cutting process.As experts in the industry with over 30 years’ experience, Sotech wasn’t just involved at the manufacturing stage, but were engaged from design stage, offering details, advice and budget costs during the project.With 792 bedrooms and state of the art social space, the building fills a spot in Manchester’s landscape that had been empty for years.

Bespoke garage and car port doors from Rundum Meir, which provide natural ventilation and daylighting into enclosed garage spaces, can deliver a seamless aesthetic result in contemporary architecture featuring vertical timber board-on-batten cladding. This is illustrated at the Abode development in Cambridgeshire, where the architects delivered uniformity across different housing styles using a limited palette of materials. Horizontal and vertical cladding was extended into the doors for the car ports manufactured in matching oak. These ventilated doors enable fresh air and daylight to flow through the car ports from the rear gardens, adding an interesting visual dimension.
