This exciting modern office space is the result of a high-quality office refurbishment. The design brief was to create a street presence and a new identity for the building, much in keeping with the creative character of the area. A lighting scheme and calculations were produced to support the architect and samples of the luminaires were provided to the design team to be signed off. The Leam Suspended LED was specified for the main office lighting and used on all floors. The office floors benefit from high ceilings and plenty of daylight.

The ongoing CAT B refurbishment of the impressive Victorian building situated in the heart of Bloomsbury sees a transformation of 7,900 sq ft of the Student’s Union, staff offices and a teaching spaces. The design concept is very consistent across the floors using a strong visual language. Following 3 main design patterns, the scheme uses linear lighting as the general lighting. The circulation areas with exposed soffits are lit with linear profiles Lopen Suspended and circular suspended lighting Talla. In the desk areas the Lopen Suspended was used to create softer illumination and absorb the sound.

Located on the south side of Tavistock Place, in the heart of the intellectual hub of London, the recently refurbished 4 Tavistock Place offers approximately 8077 sq ft of high specification CAT A modern office space and boasts fantastic outside space and terraces. Full lighting design and calculations alongside luminaire schedules were produced for the office space and communal areas by the team to ensure the correct light levels were achieved. The linear profile Rio Suspended was used across the scheme as the main office lighting. Several LED downlights from 299 range have been supplied for the communal areas.

A property investment company based in a trendy part of London approached Loved Interiors with a request to design and project manage the fitout of their new office. To achieve a bold design scheme, the OKA SUSPENDED was used through the whole scheme in matt black finish. Suspended linear lighting which complemented the clean aesthetics with exposed services that would also work with retro pendants at the same time.

The multi-phased scheme on Redcliff Street sees a comprehensive modernisation of 14 floors, construction of a new floor at roof level and complete rebuilt of the reception area. The brief for the lighting was to deliver a modern yet conservative look in keeping with the TLT brand whilst meeting the CIBSE regulations. In the breakout space, the slim linear profile Leck was installed in between the wooden rafts in a random pattern. In the open plan office, the large suspended ring shaped luminaire Ouse was used.

The iconic Grade II listed building Sion Hall has been recently transformed to a modern 16,813 sq. ft high specification office space to suit a specific tenant. We supported the workplace specialist with product specification, lighting design and calculations. 3D visuals were created to support the client to visualise the complex space. The performance driven office luminaire Rio Suspended was used across the office for general lighting. Slim linear profile Leck was used in the SAS ceilings in the Tech room. The Nile Surface was used around the perimeter of the Oak room.

Our team were approached to provide the lighting design and supply for the 5th and 6th floor. 299’s team worked closely with all parties involved on the project- the designer, main electrical contractor, property surveyor and the tenant. The project was delivered by the local electrical contractor Avon Lea. The Lopen Suspended in standard black was used in the open plan offices and the Lopen Recessed Trimless fitting was used in the meeting rooms.The project was delivered on time and to the client’s satisfaction. On our recent visit to the site we received many positive reviews.

The recent CAT A fitout in a new mixed-use development Stratosphere Tower in London offers approximately 2,800 sq. ft of contemporary commercial office space with plenty of daylight and a premium finish. Our lighting design team worked closely with the architect, making sure the scheme achieves the CIBSE and BCO guidelines whilst maintaining the contemporary look desired by the client. The architect liked the clean and contemporary look of the Rio Suspended and Rio Surface mounted. Thanks to its superb build quality, excellent performance and high visual comfort, Rio is a popular choice of lighting for working environments.

The recent CAT B refurbishment situated on the 17th floor of The Tower building sees a pioneering transformation of an entire floor of approximately 11,329 sq. ft for the London HQ of the global tech payment platform Finablr. The ‘squiggle’, as we internally call this organic linear system, consists of 31 parts of the Rio Suspended that had to be assembled on site. The whole linear system was delivered in a contemporary matt black finish to match the dark colour scheme of the exposed ceilings. The bespoke lighting system was delivered to the site on time.

This bold and unique Edwardian building has now been refurbished to its former glory. Lopen Suspended was used throughout the space to keep the continuity of the design. The Lopen offers outstanding efficiency and high visual comfort. On the ground floor, 5 Rydal Suspended were used with a custom 5m suspension kit to visually enhance the industrial feel of the space. The smaller meeting rooms and the printer zone were designed with Teign Suspended. Minimalist and slim, the square suspended Teign is a perfect lighting solution for a wide range of contemporary architectural spaces.

The fifth largest drug manufacturer in the world, Sanofi appointed CBRE to find a new office space along the M4 corridor with the aim of merging the Guildford and Maidenhead offices into one.

The recent CAT B refurbishment situated on the 6th floor of the Lexicon Building in Manchester sees not only a stylish transformation of a vacant space, but also a unique opportunity to showcase Hollis' real commitment to sustainability. We created the lighting layout and a luminaire schedule, based on the client’s specification. Our team provided technical advice and working samples. In the main open plan office designed to accommodate 25 workstations, the designer’s favourite Rio Suspended was specified in matte black colour. In the quiet working area, Venta Track was used allowing the feature wall to stand out.

True to the brand philosophy, the recently refurbished 5 storey 71-73 Carter Lane offers a design led mixture of private suites, self contained floors, shared space, meeting rooms and amenities with a bold personality. The design brief was calling for suspended linear lighting to work with the exposed ceilings and services. The RIO Suspended was used as the main office luminaire throughout the whole scheme. In the circulation and breakout areas on Ground floor the Nile Suspended was used behind the mesh ceilings. The tubular pendant NILE has an industrial feel and works really well in this context.

The prestigious Green Park in Reading is home to large corporate business, offering premium office space, excellent transport links and boasting views over Longwater lake. With over 20+ variation of system sizes and some containing custom corners, this was a very complex scheme to design and quote. The clean lines and flexibility of RIO Suspended caught their attention and the whole made-to-measure linear system using various corners was specified to adapt to the angled floor plan. The technical shape of the Faseny Suspended compliments the style of the scheme and was used to illuminate the desks.

Since closing in March 2016, the Grade II listed building has undergone a significant refurbishment to create a new and improved performance space and facilities. In 2017, the ground floor and lower ground floor of this old and tired building was purchased by private prosecution specialists who specialise in 'white collar crime'. The 299 team have created the lighting layout, product specification and calculations for this Cat B fit out. Full lighting design and emergency lighting plan were produced alongside the renders to help visualise the effect of the new lighting scheme. Two bespoke sized linear luminaires of 2062 x 2062 mm with lit corners were created and installed as feature lighting in the reception area.

The recent CAT A refurbishment and extension of a Victorian warehouse building, 34-38 Provost Street offers approximately 15,000 sq. ft of commercial office space with plenty of daylight. Our team conducted several site visits followed by full office lighting design and calculations, making sure the correct lighting products including emergency lighting have been specified and selected for all areas. 55 hours of lighting design in total were used to secure this projects. At the same time, 3D visuals were produced to help to visualise the space. The Rio Suspended direct/-indirect was used as the main luminaire.

An advanced Delmatic system with innovative balanced lighting is installed throughout to optimise comfort and efficiency. The system maximises energy efficiency through integrated control of lighting and blinds, presence-detection and daylight-linking which dims lighting to take into account the extent of natural lighting. The system incorporates advanced Balanced Lighting which recognises the fact that high levels of daylight in perimeter areas do not benefit inner areas and so counters the effects of the bright windows by adjusting and boosting lighting levels in inner areas.

Originally built in 1972-76, this distinctive landmark in the city of London has recently undergone a substantial refurbishment, transforming the building into a 50,000 sq ft high-end office space. Our team played a crucial role in delivering this premium city ‘cat a’ fit-out with an industrial feel. Full lighting design and calculations were produced alongside renders of the space to help visualise the effect of the new lighting. The suspended linear profile, Lopen in custom length was used to run alongside the edges of the plaster board to provide sufficient illumination of the workplace.

A Delmatic lighting management system manages and monitors lighting throughout the Emirates Towers complex. With a total built area of 260,000 square metres, the mixed-use project comprises a 355m, 100,000 sq.m office tower, adjacent hotel tower, and podium shopping boulevard, car-park and extensive landscaped areas. The networked system provides various degrees of flexibility and control to suit the requirements within distinct areas of the project – totally flexible individual addressable dimming of each luminaire. The open protocol system integrates seamlessly with the site building management system as well as with security and fire systems.

The Horsefair Project set the vision for transforming the oldest Methodist building in the world into a 21st century visitor centre with modern educational facilities. 299 Lighting started working alongside the team of consultants at Ramboll in April 2015, with the actual building work commencing in January 2016. Our team assisted with the product specification for the visitor’s centre, supporting Ramboll with product samples and technical knowledge. The circular theme was carried through the design of The Horsefair room, where the architectural surface mounted luminaire Talla was specified.

Aquatics centre of Stratford, London, designed by architect Zaha Hadid Its original architectural wave made this place one of the most visible for tourists in London. The aquatics center will be used for swimming, diving and synchronized swimming and for the Water-polo competitions. The center can host more than 17500 people. It will replace the swimming pools of Crystal Palace National Sport Centre located in the south-east of London, and will become swimming-center of London. As part of the exhibit, Gradus was chosen to provide LED stair edgings for a custom-built theatre to showcase two films from Rosalind Nashashibi, one of the shortlisted artists. Her films use the camera as an eye to convey moments and events, merging everyday observations with fantastical and mythological elements. Electrical Gaza (2016) captures the self-contained life of Gaza, removed from the world yet somehow enchanted and Vivian’s Garden (2017) depicts the relationship between two artists, who are mother and daughter, in the connected houses they share in a jungle garden in Panajachel, Guatemala.
