Delivering a dynamic interior, partitioning experts at Style worked with Space Invader architects and contractors, 21 Construction, to create a variety of flexible meeting rooms using a combination of glass and solid Dorma Hüppe moveable wall systems.Style is the only moveable wall specialists able to include fully glazed pass-doors into glass operable walls, as opposed to solid doors, giving the PRS for Music’s offices a light and spacious aesthetic throughout. PRS for Music protect the value of music by licensing music usage and collecting royalties globally for its members. The new ultramodern headquarters and collaboration “hub” provides an inspiring facility in which teams can connect and work together. At Metropolitan Gaming in Mayfair, London, Style worked with architects, Whitebox, and contractors, Modufit Interiors, to create the facility to section off part of the main gaming area for a private VIP lounge. A glass HSW (Horizontal Sliding Wall) was installed, giving staff the ability to rapidly divide the room into two, sectioning off a VIP gaming area to create a unique experience for clients. The moveable wall neatly divides the VIP area away from the main public gaming room, with a lockable full height intermediate door for ease of access. The bronze opaque textured glass allows light to flow through the entire area but offers the level of privacy required for a private room. Decorative transom bars bonded onto the glass add perfectly to the opulent room design.Metropolitan Gaming boasts a wealth of experience in both gaming and hospitality. Style’s UK-wide aftercare and service team has come to the rescue of a Midlands school whose moveable wall hadn’t been working for a number of years. At 50 years old, and made from timber, the school’s concern was that it would have to be replaced. But Style’s technicians diagnosed that the problem was with the rollers along the bottom – many of which had seized due to old age and a lack of regular servicing. After making 8 bespoke new rollers the Style team returned to the school to fit them,saving the school considerable expenditure.

After a £2m refurbishment programme, the British Motor Museum recently opened its stunning new hospitality and event facility. A showcase area, the Sky Suite boasts magnificent panoramic views over the Warwickshire countryside.
Delivering flexibility to the suite, partitioning expert Style, was contracted to install two Dorma Hüppe Variflex semi-automatic, glazed moveable walls. Furnitubes’ Alta range was the ideal addition to newly installed concrete walls at the £90m expansion. 24 seats have been supplied in total, all as 1.5m module lengths to accommodate 3 people on each. 16 of the seats are the open back design for placement where the rear can’t be directly seen, with remainder being enclosed back versions which offer an attractive aspect from all sides. The steel framework to the seats was supplied in a galvanised finish that provides the ultimate in protection against corrosion and will be maintenance-free for many years.

Installation completed of 3 number MG200 sliding folding partitions with integral glazing. With this project being over budget for the client ModernGlide were able to offer our range of veneer effects laminates instead of a hard wood veneer to give a saving to the client.The sliding folding acoustic partitions were designed and installed to sepperate the busy worship and social space. This allowed for 1 larger usable room and then to be sepperated with the use of the MG200, each system were manufactured with a access passdoor. Each MG200 system offers a access door panel to get to one side of the opening to the other as standard. Our flush lever door handle has been designed to comply with the DDA regulations. Due to the high level of foot traffic within these areas the MG200 system was ideal as each panel edge being protected with a satin anodised aluminum profile. Manufactured panels have a different level of acoustic reduction, but all of them provide the kind of flexibility needed to work perfectly within any office or commercial environment following a professional installation from ModernGlide. Because there is no need for a structural head support, this makes the MG200 series perfect for smaller openings. The versatility of our sliding folding wall partitions continue through the format of slimline stacking. This means that when the wall is not in use, it will take up minimal space in your environment.

Delivering privacy between the design office and meeting room of leading toy and games specialist, John Adams, Style has installed a chic moveable wall system that combines three glass panels with a single solid panel and solid inset pass door. The DORMA semi-automatic sliding partition allows natural light into the divided space whilst still offering 47dB Rw acoustic rating, for excellent privacy when required.
Staff at John Adams can quickly and easily slide the panels into place, whereupon substantial rubber seals automatically expand to form the optimum acoustic barrier, every time.
STYLE DIVIDES PHARMACEUTICAL GIANT

Creating highly adaptable working space, Style has installed four Dorma moveable wall systems to the Berkshire offices of a world leading multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company. The semi-automatic partitions can be used to quickly divide a laboratory learning facility as well as office space, creating smaller areas or opening up the area as required.
For this high-spec project, Style worked with architects, Perkins and Will, and contractor, Tetris Bluu.
Finished in a blue fabric combined with magnetic white boards, the semi-automatic operation walls are both functional and practical.
Midland’s School Maximises Teaching Space

Working directly with St. Jude’s Academy in Wolverhampton, leading operable wall specialist Style installed a moveable wall to separate a dual-purpose classroom. Dramatically improving the use of space, the sliding partitioning system allows teachers the flexibility to quickly reconfigure the classroom from a single large teaching/activity space into two smaller classrooms that can operate side-by-side.
Following the installation, Style was also appointed as the servicing and repair agent for this and five other moveable walls within the school. Routine servicing will protect the school’s investment by ensuring smooth and safe operation of each wall.
A FIRST FOR AUTOMATIC PARTITIONING

Recently refurbished, Vodafone’s Manchester office is the first building in the UK to combine two electric moveable walls, delivering an entirely automated system for dividing room space.
Working with architects, CMI Workplace and main contractor, Overbury, Style was specified to install a fully automatic Dorma Moveo Glazed ComfortDrive moveable wall adjacent to a Skyfold, the fully automatic, vertically rising operable wall, housed in the ceiling cavity. At the push of a button, the walls open and close with ease, offering a phenomenal lab tested 50dB Rw acoustic integrity for the glass system, and 51dB Rw for the Skyfold.

Due to Robinson Structures engineering expertise, steel girders were built above and around the Polar single glazed track work to create smaller offices and meeting rooms.

The OWO hotel, previously the Old War Offices in London, opened for the first time to the public in Summer 2023 as the UK’s first Raffles Hotel offering 85 unique private residences, nine exciting restaurants, three iconic bars, Guerlain’s first London Spa and an active wellness by Pillar Wellbeing.Working with EPR Architects, and Ardmore Construction, partitioning expert Style was specified to sub-divide the impressive main ballroom with a 6.5 metre high Dorma Huppe Variflex semi-automatic moveable wall.With an incredible 60dB acoustic rating, noisy events can take place either side of the wall without sound interference, and the operable wall has a chic fabric finish to perfectly complement the interior design of the room.Style also installed Dorma Hüppe’s unique i-Track system, designed to make the moving of tall moveable walls both simple and safe for the operator.Cleverly harnessing the kinetic energy created by panel movement, i-Track utilises that momentum to effortlessly facilitate a change in direction as each panel passes through the curves, into and out of the parking pocket. Track diverters are also used to manually program the carriers to automatically move each panel to the correct parking location.In addition, Style was also specified to install four more 59dB Dorma Hüppe Variflex semi-automatic moveable walls to create a series of flexible meeting rooms, enabling staff to quickly adapt the space depending on usage.Built on the historic royal site of Whitehall Palace, this is where Ian Fleming conjured up the idea of James Bond having been inspired by the building’s resident spies. It went on to feature in three 007 films as the MI6 headquarters, where M’s office was located, and between 2017 and 2023 it was lovingly restored.“It was a genuine privilege to have been chosen for one of the most iconic buildings in London,” said Style’s group managing director, Julian Sargent, “and it is testimony to the quality of our people, products and craftmanship that we were entrusted to work on this famous landmark.”
EXTENSIVE ROOM FLEXIBILITY AT LEADING UNIVERSITY

Designed throughout for adaptability, space at the new Emily Wilding Davison building, Royal Holloway University, benefits from the installation of numerous moveable wall systems. Partitioning experts Style, worked closely with contractor, Geoffrey Osbourne, and Associated Architects to assist and advise on the design, bringing practical, aesthetic and cost-saving benefits to the project.
Demonstrating Style’s extensive portfolio, the final arrangement involved a 50 dB Rw DORMA glass wall in a seminar room, a DORMA Variflex system on which art can be displayed, two 56dB Rw acoustic DORMA moveable walls and a 46dB Rw folding wall dividing meeting/ training rooms.

Tudor House was opened as the offices for Hatfield Rural District Council by the Marquess of Salisbury in 1930. A grand old building, it was built in a Georgian style with a host of period features.When its purpose as a public administration building was over, a proposal for a conversion (material change of use) into apartments was put forward by Lioncrest. Whilst not a listed building, they proposed to retain all of the period features and, where time had taken its toll on the building fabric, restore and renovate the brickwork and stonework back to its former glory.Permission has been given to convert the offices into seven new luxury apartments comprising of four two bedroom apartments and three one bed apartments. The largest apartment was constructed in the roof space which entailed reconstructing the existing roof incorporating two large dormer windows and five roof lights. The building includes a large basement which was converted into stores for the occupants and for each of the apartments to have an allocated car parking space.Lioncrest consulted with Hush Acoustics at the design stage of this development for soundproofing advice and assistance with the design, specification and supply of the materials needed.There were a number of design issues to take into account due to the history of the building and the period features. Our soundproofing experts worked closely with Lioncrest to develop the most economical and convenient acoustic system to achieve the high results sought. The detailed and careful installation of the Hush materials allowed some fantastic sound reducing results giving the owners of the apartments a very good standard of living.A variety of products were combined to achieve the necessary sound reduction throughout the building’s separating floors, ceilings and walls. These included Hush Panel Cem 28, Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber, Hush Seal 20 perimeter strip, Hush Bond Panel Adhesive, Hush MF Ceiling System and Hush Acoustic Hangers.Through detailed planning from Lioncrest with regard to the schedule, Hush Acoustics were able to deliver all acoustic materials to site ensuring that the deadline for completion was met.
