Award-winning project is a true reflection of Neaco quality

Reflections in Chesterton, by HC Moss (Builders) Ltd, won Best Small Development in the Cambridge News Property Awards to become the latest in a long list of award-winning projects to feature Neaco products.

Morgan Sindall and Fletcher Priest Architects asked Planet for help with the design, manufacture and installation of a new central, frameless atrium as part of a Category-A refurbishment.
The nine-storey atrium used hot-smoke-retardant frameless internal atrium glazing across three sides to ensure high transparency, improving the admission of natural light while protecting occupants from falls and maintaining the highest acoustic rating.
In addition, Planet designed, manufactured and installed frameless glass balustrades and bespoke walnut timber spandrels. For the lift lobbies, Firetec doors provide outstanding fire integrity and insulation to these communal areas.
Ampersand, London
Planet Partitioning
Darling Associates and McLaren Group approached Planet Partitioning to undertake the internal atrium glazing and fire-rated glass doors for their fit-out of Ampersand, London. Planet was specified to design, manufacture and install all the glass partitioning for an internal atrium, balustrades and fire-rated and non–fire rated lift lobby doors.
For the atrium, Planet Partitioning used full-height frameless 15.5mm low-iron toughened laminated glass. This highly curved atrium needed glass rising from the door plate to create a fluid feel, complementing the central spiral staircase. Planet then installed steel framework to support the atrium glazing.
Sir Duncan Rice Library, Aberdeen

Over 18 months, Planet Partitioning worked within a budget to achieve the sound attenuation levels required for the Sir Duncan Rice Library, using a combination of p100 double glazed partitioning and p20 single glazed frameless glass partition systems.
We also installed timber doors throughout the library and was responsible for drywalling, which included solid partitioning between rooms and plasterboard wall lining.
Planet used 27mm, low-profile frameless glazing to create a peaceful and open plan library with a spiralling off-centre atrium with 13km of shelving.

The 3 revolving doors are entirely recessed into the reception area and join the façade only at the front edges, the brief from the architect called for minimal framing to the enclosures to avoid
unnecessary vertical sight lines in the glazing. Bauporte designed and installed 3 Circular Full Vision revolving doors. The doors all feature bespoke curved
walls each formed of a single sheet of glass and single-piece glass ceilings. Semi-automatic in operation with inground heaters.

To meet the client’s requirements of wanting sliding doorsets rather than pivoting doors on the meeting rooms, Komfort’s Sonik Slide doors were installed. This project gave us the opportunity to use Sonik Slide as our new acoustic pocket double glazed sliding door, which can be specified as a single or double door set within its own unique frameless glass. On this project, Sonik Slide double door sets were specified and installed.
Sonik Slide has been designed to focus on ease of installation and to allow light to flood through the workplace whilst ensuring high acoustic performance is maintained.

Planet Partitioning
Aker Solutions is a global Norwegian company that provides products, systems and services to the oil and gas industry. For the 350 offices and meeting rooms throughout the four floors, Planet used a combination of p100 and p20 relocatable partition systems, ensuring high sound attenuation. Full-height single glazed frameless glass doors complement the clean lines of the meeting rooms and offices. A small number of offices and meeting rooms have laminated beech timber doors too. Planet installed several atrium glass panels and glazed the recreational areas, including the squash courts. The job was completed over a three-month period.

Southern General Hospital, Glasgow

Planet has a great relationship with BAM and is recognised as a Tier 1 supplier. That’s why BAM asked Planet to put together the specification for a new four-storey teaching and learning facility and a four-storey office building at Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital.
Planet worked with Boswell Mitchell Johnston, using p20 single glazed demountable partitioning and Eclipse sliding doors to create laboratories and offices. Several atrium glass screens also feature throughout the building.
The glass partitioning was kept in place using a frameless, fire-resistant, hardwood system, spray-painted to match the other aluminium framework.

The building features more than 1.8 million square feet (174,000 square meters) of Guardian SunGuard Solar Silver 20 and Guardian ClimaGuard NLT Low-E.
The Burj Khalifa building is residential and commercial with luxury apartments on levels 20-160 --- the most residential floors of any building in the world -- with offices above and a boutique hotel.
Guardian also supplied the glass for the Burj Residence project, six towers that surround the Burj Khalifa.

Bespoke Construction asked Planet to undertake the internal partitioning package for Brioche Pasquier.To meet the brief, Planet used its premium and highly flexible M100 modular system.
The majority of the corridor partitioning was frameless, but with framed modular glazing to clearly define the offices, meeting rooms and testing facilities opposite. The installation achieved excellent sound attenuation for all office and meeting rooms, with film manifestation added for visual contrast and integrated venetian blinds for extra privacy.
Single glazed glass doors with brushed steel handles and joints now feature throughout the building. The project took around eight weeks to complete.

Parc Central shopping centre in Tarragona, Spain, has been one of the leading shopping centres in the Tarragona province. In 2013 the second floor was fully refurbished. For the interior, the architects chose Easy Glass MOD 0760 balustrade and a combination of stainless steel and wooden handrails. On the roof terrace 100 metres Easy Glass Slim were installed, with a stainless steel cap rail to create a stylish finish. The full glass balustrade ensures the safety of people sitting outside while they enjoy a clear view of the surroundings.

Bauporte Doors had been asked to develop doors which should be flush with the facade once they are closed. For this building Bauporte developed straight single manual, straight double inground automatic and TALL Curved manual swing doors with special made heavy floor closers.
The Eliminate swing doors are made out of Double Glazed Units,
with the special design that the profile which is normally going
around the glass, has now been put into the spacer of the glass.
Due to this manor of construction the doors can be manufactured up to a height of 5000mm.

Jeddah Tower is an unprecedented project that dares to go beyond the one-kilometer threshold. It is set to break world records for tallest building, highest occupied floor, highest architectural top, highest tip and highest sky terrace.

In 1999 Kesho Kurokawa Architects & Associates designed a new wing for the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
The Full Glass revolving doors were designed and built by Bauporte, they are constructed to the RC2 burglar resistance standard and are compliant with EN1627.
The state-of-the-art glass structure complements the curved and elliptical shape of the Kurokawa wing, while connecting it to the original museum building designed by Gerrit Rietveld.
Bauporte was responsible for the technical design, engineering, production, installation and maintenance of the

The door leaves are equipped with emergency exit wings that will collapse in case of an emergency evacuation. In the roof an air curtain prevents cold air to cool down the building inside. The doors cladding is
made of a stunning mirror finish stainless steel.
Gilgen transparent automatic door gets the Royal approval

A specialist fully glazed automatic door from Gilgen Door Systems was recently chosen to create the right impression for Royal Standard Place, a prestigious office block in central Nottingham. Work has recently completed on a £2m refurbishment of the building which included construction of a new entrance façade.
The Gilgen SLX- PSF sliding door was chosen by the building envelope contractors because its clean contemporary appearance matched perfectly with the glazed façade. walls and fascia to bring the total height to 6500mm. Although the revolving doors are installed within the façade, the design required the doors to be entirely self supporting and free-standing to allow
the façade to deflect as required. Bauporte ensured the stability of the design and the only contact between the doors and the façade is through
flexible weather seals.

The door is fully made of Stainless Steel and finished with a glass powder bead blasted Stainless Steel sheet. This gives the door a beautiful coloured, 3D look.

Port Centre designed by Sir Norman Foster Architects. In collaboration with Bauporte, the architect designed a brand new entrance concept to the building.
The biggest challenge of assignment was that the existing revolving door was out of proportion to the building. It was too low, too wide and looked dated.
Bauporte designed a sleek 5.5 m high revolving door with oblique LED lighting. The TALL door is driven by an overhead drive in the canopy.

Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, a 5-star luxury hotel on the Noordwijk coast. This is one of the most luxurious hotels along the Dutch coast.
The main entrance required a major overall to ensure a draft free lobby at the hotel.
The design of the hotel left only one option, a Bauporte Royal Nostalgia revolving door.
The door not only eliminates cold draughts but due to the in floor heater also provides a warm welcome to the guests.
The door leaves also automatically fold open in an emergency to allow the guests to leave the hotel quickly.

Located in the Centre of Eindhoven, an existing mall takes on an entirely new expression - one which aims to push a complete shopping experience to its visitors.
One of the main challenges was how to create the entrance from the car park to the shopping mall. We needed to meet a 30-minute fireproof door regulation and prevent exhaust air from the car park entering the retail area, so we needed an extremely functional solution. At the same time, the entrance was an opportunity to make an impression on visitors - so a highly aesthetic solution was also required.
