Residential Project – Sunbury on Thames

Residential Project – Sunbury on Thames

ecodek

Many of the projects we feature in case studies have been high end developments in London where the low maintenance, low potential for slip and bespoke lengths are perfectly suited for balconies on multi-storied buildings. However, those qualities (plus the excellent ‘eco credentials’) also mean that ecodek® is equally desirable for residential projects where a home-owner may be landscaping, redeveloping a site or embarking on a new build project. We were very excited to work with a dedicated home-owner on the redevelopment of their home after it was destroyed by floods.
Church Hill Barn, Suffolk

Church Hill Barn, Suffolk

Glazing Vision Ltd

Architect David Nossiter’s sensitive conversion of a derelict, yet heritage-listed farm barn building on the Suffolk/Essex border into an exceptional family home has recently won ‘Restoration of the Year’ at Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2017, as well as being named as a finalist in the AJ’s Retrofit Awards 2017. A sympathetic synergy of the historical and the contemporary, Church Hill Barn offers spacious living in a beautiful rural setting. Glazing Vision’s Flushglaze fixed rooflights were instrumental in flooding the grand central atrium of the barn with natural daylight.

Haddo Yard, Whitstable

Glazing Vision Ltd

With limited vertical wall space for windows, Denizen Works utilised Glazing Visions’ fixed Flushglaze rooflights to flood the living spaces with light in their recently built housing scheme, Haddo Yard. The project, on the site of a former bungalow, is located in Whitstable, Kent and takes its name from Oliver Haddo, a character in former resident Somerset Maugham’s novel, ‘The Magician’. Haddo Yard forms part of a series of projects initiated by developer Arrant Land, that seek to explore how a town with a distinct visual identity can be enhanced by adventurous but contextual contemporary design.

However, fully automatic loft ladders are becoming a popular option, which is the basis for this exciting loft ladder concept. Another key feature is the clear loft hatch door. Therefore, the loft ladder of the future allows light to flood into the room, which is often in a dark landing or hallway. To learn more about this loft ladder concept, please follow the link below.

Furnitubes supplied a number of contemporary Zenith seats which were all galvanised and PPC black with Iroko timber slats, along with corresponding Zenith litter bins. The coordinating Linx400 range of railings and bollards were also installed. Now open to the public has resulted in a beautiful open space & peaceful riverbank, providing a blissful haven for residents and visitors.

To meet the client’s requirements of wanting sliding doorsets rather than pivoting doors on the meeting rooms, Komfort’s Sonik Slide doors were installed. This project gave us the opportunity to use Sonik Slide as our new acoustic pocket double glazed sliding door, which can be specified as a single or double door set within its own unique frameless glass. On this project, Sonik Slide double door sets were specified and installed. Sonik Slide has been designed to focus on ease of installation and to allow light to flood through the workplace whilst ensuring high acoustic performance is maintained.
