Expona Flow PUR heterogeneous flooring in the Roasted Limed Ash design was installed by GE Nichols Flooring Ltd in five treatment rooms, exercise studio and reception area at the spacious and modern clinic.
Fiona Moir, Director of goPhysio commented, “This elegant ash flooring design helped us create the calming atmosphere we wanted in the new goPhysio clinic in time for its December 2016 launch. The fact that it is hardwearing and easy to maintain is also a big benefit for us.”

Modernising historic properties can bring major challenges. The architects at Fuse Studios gave careful consideration to this question as they prepared for a refurbishment of the Fine Arts building at Leeds University. Early on, the new access ramp at the front entrance was identified as an important visual centrepiece.
The architects opted to use Q-railing products, including an LED-lit handrail, when creating an ultra-safe glass railing for the ramp. Q-railing recommended the Easy Glass Max system. It is highly robust, meeting all the relevant safety requirements with ease, and yet provides an uninterrupted glazed area.
Sainsbury’s Maidenhead featuring Reynaers CW 50-SC aluminium curtain walling system
Reynaers Aluminium
Maidenhead was a cliché of uninspired and unremarkable buildings until Sainsbury’s embarked on a major redevelopment scheme. The supermarket now forms the base of a major new building, with five floors of car parking which are embraced by an outer layer of flats. Reynaers’ CW 50-SC glazing follows the building’s curve and works without clumsy capping on the outside. The flats were fitted with Reynaers’ CS 68 system which was chosen for its high performance and good insulation values. The project shows the flexibility of a varied architectural approach to which Reynaers products can provide robust solutions.

The bold scheme designed by interior and architecture design firm zynk translates the essence of the FIRSTLIGHT brand into a contemporary interior, using an industrial style colour palette and materials such as concrete, mesh and timber. The complex linear scheme on this project consists of 9 bespoke corner pieces, some of them at very tight angles. With everything fitting seamlessly together, we made the unworkable, workable. Rio enhances the industrial style interior design with exposed soffits and provides comfortable lighting

Basketball and Volleyball are key activities within the new sports hall so in addition to two match basketball and three match volleyball courts there is a “show court” for both with seating for 400 spectators. The ideal DYNAMIK Helsinki sports floor system fully supports bleacher seating and the DYNAMIK Athen sports floor system was selected for the Dance Studio.

Holland’s most famous luxurious retreat, the Amstel Hotel, renovated its Health & Fitness Club. Thereby obtained the prestigious five-star Amsterdam hotel in one go a completely refurbished Wellness floor. The Health & Fitness Club was equipped with the latest innovations in sanitary, including Easy Drain shower channels.
Easy Drain’s challenge in this project was to meet the required drainage capacity. Due to the large amount of water produced by the Horizontal Shower. Another challenge was the low installation depth requirements for the renovation. Furthermore, the shower drain had to conform to hygiene and safety standards for guests and personnel.

Terra-34 balustrade infill panels, open mesh flooring, stair treads and louvred screening have been supplied for escape stairs at Milton Park. Three new buildings have been tailored to provide high-tech laboratories and offices.
There were five stairs towers in total, 10.7m and 15m high, also designed to provide access to service facilities. The Italia-80 louvres effectively screen all the service ducting and were supplied with demountable panels with D-handles for inspection points at each landing and ground level. The result was a smart solution in keeping with the high specification of the development.

This project was designed by Scale(s) Lab Architects, a Los Angeles based firm that specializes in mixed-use and retail spaces.
Longboard products are incorporated into many healthcare facility designs due to being free of volatile organic compounds (VOC), manufactured with chrome-free processes, 100% non-combustible, and 100% recyclable. The products are also created with durable AAMA 2604/2605 certified powder coating.

The company now has added Palladiom keypads and thermostat, and automated blinds to its myRoom Prime guestroom management solution. The result is efficient, intuitive, and stylish. “All of our customers are generally quite short-stay, so we wanted something that was really simple and seamless to use,” says Z Hotels Technical Manager Eamon Kelly. “And we needed something that could integrate motorised blinds, room occupancy [data], and other features without requiring deep technical expertise.”

Millworks supplied over 700m2 of Siberian Larch cladding for the external façade of this award winning distillery.
In addition to the exterior façade cladding, Millworks developed and manufactured over 700m2 of internal cladding. Custom profiled, 200mm wide and fine sawn Thermowood (redwood) gives the interior an effortless style.
Built by Chiltern Design who worked to tight time frames, Millworks were able to provide large volumes of timber, on time and machined to the highest standard.

Neaco supplied an extensive balustrade specification to help transform a Grade II Listed former Post Office and Telephone Exchange into Grade A contemporary offices in Sheffield.
SDA Architects designed the comprehensive internal revamp of the property, built in the 1920s, to create Steel City House comprising 60,000 square feet of prime commercial space across five storeys. Neaco’s structural glass balustrade forms part of the £10m project’s signature feature: a new central atrium which brings natural light into the heart of the building. The roof terrace also features Neaco’s structural glass balustrade.

Style - Moveable Partition Specialists
Working directly with St. Jude’s Academy in Wolverhampton, leading operable wall specialist Style installed a moveable wall to separate a dual-purpose classroom. Dramatically improving the use of space, the sliding partitioning system allows teachers the flexibility to quickly reconfigure the classroom from a single large teaching/activity space into two smaller classrooms that can operate side-by-side.
Following the installation, Style was also appointed as the servicing and repair agent for this and five other moveable walls within the school. Routine servicing will protect the school’s investment by ensuring smooth and safe operation of each wall.

rooms - crystal and oriental, a salt grotto, a tepadarium with luxurious heated ceramic
loungers and two adventure showers along with a spectacular ice chandelier.

Five of the best selling decors were chosen from the Westag UK 5.2m range of laminates with matching PP ( square ) edging material, and the decision was made to offer the worktops at any given size per 100mm to give great flexibility within budget, but also with design choice, especially when combined with a stocked radius board. Breakfast bars and a larger range of decors all followed suit.

Focus On Social Housing – St Matthews Estate, Brixton

St Matthew’s estate in Brixton was a grey, crime ridden housing development constructed in the late 1960’s when two social landlords were brought on board by Lambeth council to remodel the estate. The redevelopment included 12 new zero energy homes for shared ownership which went on to win the Low Energy Building of the Year Awards in 2006. Bereco manufactured the energy efficient timber tilt and turn windows and patio doors for the new homes and were designed with top specification 24mm glazing systems to give optimal energy performance, without, the zero energy rating would not have been achieved.

The visual impact continues inside the building. For international media company MediaCom, Vienna architect Karl Langer created a flexible, open concept and transparent office space to meet the company’s innovative, dynamic and future focused approach using EKU Porta Glass.
Fishguard Primary School - Balustrade and Handrails

At Fishguard Primary School HEWI provided a safe environment for the children whilst blending aesthetically with the theme of the building. Coloured polyamide was chosen for the main staircase with clear safety glass infll, soft touch door handles where used throughout. Externally, Circum satin finish grade 316 stainless steel was chosen for all areas, including access ramps and steps from the car park, with post mounted handrails and perforated stainless steel infll. Safety glass panels, in clear and 5 differing colours was used on a balcony. Matching perforated stainless steel infll panels were incorporated on stairs.
Toshiba selects Hufcor moveable walls for Stockley Park

Toshiba UK has installed Hufcor® movable walls at a recent tenant fit out within an office building at Stockley Park near Heathrow. The Hufcor 100 series operable walls provide flexible meeting spaces. The operable door panel parking has been split into two stacks to maximize the useable space converting a large room into three breakout meeting rooms. Hufcor UK supplied and installed two identical walls finished in a walnut veneer. Each system was designed with an integral switch within the track that allows the lighting in each room to be operated individually when the walls are in place.

The supermarket chain has opened a new ‘local’ in Camden and converted a further 6 stores to the ‘local’ format.
For its newest ‘Local’, Aldi specified INTRAflow Plus with hard wearing ribbed rubber and INTRAlux Elite inserts in anthracite to provide a flexible, durable, yet cost effective solution.
INTRAflow Plus can be used in both Zone 1 external and Zone 2 internal areas, making it a perfect choice for busy supermarkets with automatic doors that frequently open to the elements.
One & Two New Ludgate

Located next to the Old Bailey, England's most famous court, New Ludgate consists of two buildings which provide 35,210sqm of commercial office, retail, and restaurant space. Both buildings have distinctive designs and roof terraces with great views of St Paul's Cathedral.
Project:
Full ironmongery package for the whole project, which included the laminate door sets’ schedules and a specialist package to cover the reception fit out and stair cores. We also supplied ironmongery for the washroom package.

This mixed use development on the southern fringes of the Olympic Park utilised the Nexus® system to achieve flawless brick-faced soffits to the hundreds of door and window heads.
Nexus is a two-part brick soffit system that combine a high integrity stainless steel brickwork support system with custom-designed prefabricated brick faced soffit units. Being 70% lighter than traditional cast concrete solutions, the Nexus soffit system is simply lifted and bolted into position by hand and, as the brick slip facing is manufactured from the same batch as the main brickwork, presents a perfect colour and texture match for flawless transitions.

The Television Centre transforms the existing BBC Television centre into a mixed-use development that combines office/studio space for the BBC, entertainment and leisure facilities, housing, a hotel and office space, alongside public open spaces.
Working with Gillespies and Maylim, we were commissioned to supply and install Cumaru benches and seating areas with bespoke metal work including hand rails and arm rests (designed by our in-house team) to the refurbished Helios Plaza area.
In the famous external forecourt, perfectly spaced FSC Cumaru cladded doors were installed to the services/access and general storage area, for a seamless look.
Brioche Pasquier UK, Milton Keynes
Planet Partitioning
Bespoke Construction asked Planet to undertake the internal partitioning package for Brioche Pasquier.To meet the brief, Planet used its premium and highly flexible M100 modular system.
The majority of the corridor partitioning was frameless, but with framed modular glazing to clearly define the offices, meeting rooms and testing facilities opposite. The installation achieved excellent sound attenuation for all office and meeting rooms, with film manifestation added for visual contrast and integrated venetian blinds for extra privacy.
Single glazed glass doors with brushed steel handles and joints now feature throughout the building. The project took around eight weeks to complete.
Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Hallam University’s new three-floor, purpose-built teaching facility, the Heart of the Campus Building, is another eye-catching addition to this burgeoning northern university.
Planet Partitioning used p100 double glazing to glaze around 50 room frontages, including seminar and study rooms, installing IsoClear single glass doors throughout to ensure excellent acoustic performance. This involved using a minimum framework to help create a modern, contemporary look and feel.
Planet Partitioning also installed large angular atrium glass screens on the top floor of the communal area to form an impressive 50-metre long ‘U’ shape.

Hill Partnership is a Top 25 builder of houses that offer stylish and contemporary living. They asked Planet Partitioning to oversee all the internal partitioning requirements at its new two-story Head Office.
The atrium voids and room frontages featured p100 single-glazed demountable partitioning - chosen because its thick framework complemented the robust and open steel framework of the building. Planet used vertex dry joints to ensure a virtually invisible glass partitioning joint and the highest acoustic insulation. Manifestation was applied for additional privacy and Eclipse sliding doors maximised floor space in all offices and meeting rooms.
Network Rail HQ, Milton Keynes

BAM construction approached Planet to supply and install interior glass partitioning as part of a Category B fit-out of Network Rail's new HQ.
To ensure outstanding sound attenuation, we fitted p100 double glazed partitioning and IsoClear glass doors. To ensure time and cost efficiency, our design team worked with BAM and GMW Architects to ensure the right choice of standard deflection heads and allow for +/- 25mm movement rather than designing and manufacturing a multitude of bespoke deflection heads.
We also installed p20 single glazed demountable partitioning for a range if brightly coloured 'eco cabins' dotted throughout the building.
Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors HQ

When the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) were looking to move into their new Head Office, just off Princess Street in the heart of Edinburgh, Michael Laird Architects asked Planet Partitioning to put together a specification for the Category B fit-out of the existing building. Working closely with Souness & Boyne, Planet Partitioning used p100 frameless double glazing system throughout to create meeting rooms and offices with high acoustic performance, in a simple grey design. The eight-week job also involved installing minimal framework double glazed doors throughout the offices, to complement the p100 double glazed partitions.

For the basement laboratories, Planet used p100 demountable double-glazed full-height partitions with two layers of 15mm toughened glass to reach heights in excess of three metres. The partitioning framework was set within the steel grid structure, ensuring an industrial look and incorporating slimline single-glazed and SonoTec double glazed doors with integrated venetian blinds. Planet provided a full blackout option for lab work on sensitive ancient human remains. Planet AG was responsible for the full-height atrium glazing, using 19.5mm toughened laminated glass. It required carefully spaced holes for securing attenuators that control airflow within the building.

Specified by Dundee-based fabrication company Lam-Art, 700m2 of durable Polyrey compact solid grade laminate in a variety of complementary colourways now covers the cubicle and locker areas at Montrose. Grey M001 Maryland Clair can be found adorning the ends of the locker units, with its contemporary grey mineral finish creating a striking contrast with the dark blue C018 Chardon and light blue B048 Bleu Oslo laminates that now cover the cubicle and locker doors. Two grey shades, G028 Gris Flanelle and G003 Gris Perle, were chosen for the cubicle compartments and provide a toned-down look.

SAS designed, supplied and installed several bespoke metal ceilings specified for the lower retail area within the mall:
A mall link feature installed below glass reinforced gypsum features in the mall’s access areas.A lozenge shaped, metal can ceiling with integrated lighting, a slatted SAS700 linear ceiling and SAS320 alongside linear grilles.
The aim was to create an ideal meeting place which would serve as a gateway to Birmingham.
A massive 50 million people are expected through the door each year.
