Acoustic Varying Height Timber Fencing

Procter Contracts

Following fire damage to the existing timber fencing, Procter Contracts were tasked with replacing the damaged timber. Due to the timber fencing being 7.00m high, there was an issue with “working at height”, also working in a residential car park. Our trained operatives were working of a mobile platform to secure the boards as required. With due care to ensure no damage was caused to other vehicles in the car park.

The main car park at their HQ in Warwick had been leaking for a number of years. Various systems had been employed to tackle this, however all had failed. Some areas were ‘out of action’. They were having to hire a nearby car park, then run a bus service, this was costly and inconvenient and caused disruption. The solution proposed and provided by IKO, meant stripping and replacing the existing 6,500m2 car park deck within a twelve week period, in two phases, whilst keeping the remaining 18,000m2 open, minimising disruption to the business, staff and visitors.

Installation was straight-forward thanks to the in house training of our installers and the specialist tooling from CRL.”

Working for one of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals and NHS major trauma centres, the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, BriggsAmasco was appointed to replace the car park’s leaking surface which was causing damage to the structure and vehicles parked below. With just six weeks to complete the project and the car park in operation throughout, the company installed 2500m2 of Permapark mastic asphalt waterproofing and surfacing system.

The car park would provide 562 spaces located much closer to the hospital and would also feature improved security, including CCTV monitoring, a new controlled pedestrian entrance allowing access for staff 24 hours a day and improved lighting.

The store was designed to be the most carbon efficient premier store with a holistic approach taken towards key sustainability factors such as water, carbon, biodiversity, the community, materials and waste to landfill.

EuroPipe at Manchester Airport - Case Study

The new multi-story car park has space for 3,800 vehicles and is part of the £1 billion transformation programme at the airport. The installation was overseen by G Beverley & Son on behalf of the M&E Contractor, Crown House. Our stainless steel drainage systems are the ideal choice due to our lightweight push-fit pipes and fittings are easy to handle and install, and provide rapid discharge of rainwater and waste water.

Main contractors Matrix Parking solutions were contracted by the landlord Corporate Estates to provide additional parking at a shared office facility in Henley-on-Thames. The proposed area was a very old macadam surface that had totally broken down leaving a messy surface with various pot holes and puddles for office workers to avoid whilst using the car park. The area had no working drainage system in place. The clients wanted a free draining surface that would not require constant maintenance and could handle the frequent car use.

As part of the redevelopment and transformation of the Beechwood Shopping Centre into a flagship, £30 million John Lewis department store, the adjoining eighties-built multi-storey car park required a complete refurbishment and upgrade. Working for main contractor Midas Construction, BriggsAmasco was selected to install a Flexiphalte asphalt waterproof system to the car park’s seven levels – 10,000m2 of surface in total – along with a new bonded 2,500m2 single ply roof over the department store. Hand-applied, Flexiphalte systems deliver superior watertight solutions in heavily-trafficked and conventional roof deck applications...

Emirates Air Line, London

Howe Green

Howe Green’s 5000 Series and 7500 Series access covers were specified for the Emirates Air Line, the first urban cable car in the UK. The cable car crosses the Thames from Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks and links two former Olympic sites. The access covers were required to provide easy and reliable access to essential services within the North and South Terminal buildings. A bespoke aluminium bar was also designed and made for the project. The bar comprises a decorative trim featuring a semi-circular section with a 10-metre radius and a 6mm visible edge.

Specially Designed Expansion Joint Covers at Grand Central Birmingham

Birmingham New Street Station and the old Pallasades shopping centre has undergone a £600m redevelopment and has now become Grand Central Birmingham. Heavy duty movement joint covers were required for both the centre and its adjoining multi-storey car park to prevent damage due to excessive traffic. CS provided the heavy duty APF Series for the shopping centre’s interior. They are very strong against rolling loads as well as distortion and wear. The robust KB Series joint covers were provided for the multi-storey car park, featuring a unique centre plate with a 1000kg loading capacity.

The six-storey car dealership opens up to the south and city streets with a fully glazed façade construction. In the evening the building reveals itself as a glass shelf. Inside the showroom, the floors are connected to each other by air spaces, creating a mix of visual relationships.

Constructed in 1977, Den Court is a large retirement home made up of 24 flats in the small town of Lochgelly in Fife. The regeneration of the sheltered housing by Fife Council involved the demolition of part of the building as well as replacement windows and doors, landscaping and a new car park.

Watertight Concrete Basement For Luxury Wembley Development

Two 20 storey buildings, one a hotel and the other a luxury residential and commercial apartment block, have been constructed near Wembley Stadium. Triton Systems was appointed by the main contractor, Donban Construction, to supply a watertight concrete system for the large underground car park which will serve both buildings.

The addition of a darker coloured walkway across the roof falls means it is much easier to stay safe on top of the building when inspections and maintenance are required, while also preventing any water being trapped behind the laps.
