Pennyhill Park - A New Dimension in Spa Breaks

Pennyhill Park - A New Dimension in Spa Breaks

Caribbean Blinds UK Ltd

‘A little bit extra’, was the concept when creating the beautiful new spa garden at Pennyhill Park; a premium space, set within the luxurious spa grounds where you can switch off from the world and indulge in the very best.  Four Cabanas were key to the design, each providing clients with a private ‘pad’ for the day. The Cabanas had to offer all the benefits of being outside, with the comforts of being inside, allowing guests to enjoy the roll-top spa bath and loungers beneath in a pleasant environment throughout the day.  Our Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod was incorporated by the project designer thanks to its flexibility, in particular the ability to incorporate additional uprights and a wall to the rear and part side where the padded bench, fridge and coffee machine are all incorporated. Each module measured 5m x 4m providing ample space for the facilities within.  The motorised rotating louvered roof of the system allows guests to play with light and shade to create the perfect ambience beneath the structure from sunrise to sunset, whilst the optional integrated screens to the open sides can be deployed as required to provide privacy whilst also offering protection from low sun and even breezes.  Graham Copeman, General Manager at Pennyhill Park commented: “Our cabanas give guests the opportunity to indulge in the best, feel at their best, and relax in style. The ‘Deluxe’ Outdoor Living Pod™ design provides privacy and shade from above and on all sides with remote control blinds, whilst being beautifully adaptable allowing us to build around the space to create the perfect indulgent haven. Our vision was to bring the luxury of a hotel room to the great outdoors, which Caribbean Blinds seamlessly helped us achieve.” Close collaboration with the interior designer and facilities manager throughout ensured a smooth process, with fully detailed CAD drawings provided to ensure a seamless incorporation of the structures into the overall scheme, which was particularly important for the positioning of foundations and services. From drawing and design sign-off through to installation took just 12 weeks, with installation taking just 4 days to complete.  To find out more about how we can help you create unforgettable alfresco experiences 365 days a year please contact one of our knowledgeable and friendly team on 0344 800 1947, send us an email projects@cbsolarshading.co.uk or visit our website www.cbsolarshading.co.uk.

Rows & Vines - Extraordinary Vineyard Dining Experience

Caribbean Blinds UK Ltd

An al-fresco experience like no other; where you can relax and enjoy award-winning English sparkling wines alongside perfectly paired seasonal plates, with views over the growing vines and the South Downs beyond. That was the vision for Ridgeviews Rows & Vine Restaurant.  Being an outdoor only restaurant it was imperative that the space could be used in all weather conditions to ensure maximum revenue year round. Therefore as part of the design a series of canopies were incorporated on the zoned terraces along with adjacent to the bar area to provide diners with a comfortable space to enjoy the iconic views and the perfect spot to sip, savour and celebrate.  Working closely with the project architect, our Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod – 4 double modules totalling almost 200sq/m of coverage were specified. Featuring a louvered roof that rotates through 150 degrees and is waterproof when closed, the perfect atmosphere can be created on the terrace beneath throughout the seasons. Additionally integrated side screens prevent both breezes and driving rain, whilst infra-red heaters keep the chill away and LED ambient lighting to the inside of the cross beams softly illuminates the terrace on darker afternoons and evenings.  Matt Gayler, General Manager at Ridgeview commented:  “We wanted to design and create an amazing space that blended in naturally with the environment surrounding it. Though alfresco lead design, we wanted to be able to operate 12 months of the year whilst always delivering an engaging customer experience. The Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod was selected because of its adaptability and design with the structures becoming an integral part of the scheme. Caribbean Blinds were efficient from design to on-site logistics and being a UK manufacturer gave us peace of mind.” From design to installation the project took just 12 weeks, with installation completed in less than 2 weeks, all ready for the official opening and first private event – a vineyard wedding! A dedicated project manager guaranteed a seamless process and full CAD drawings were provided for sign off and to ensure the perfect positioning of required services (wiring and drainage) along with other elements such as interaction with decking.  To find out more about how we can help you create unforgettable alfresco experiences 365 days a year please contact one of our knowledgeable and friendly team on 0344 800 1947, send us an email projects@cbsolarshading.co.uk or visit our website www.cbsolarshading.co.uk.

Blinds for Skylights and Velux WindowsBicester Village is an expansive shopping village located in Oxfordshire. As hub of shopping activity, it is a prominent part of any London tourist’s itinerary.Bicester Village can also boast a selection of KuroLok RL and KuroLok Twin RL blinds, specially designed to provide a blind solution for ceiling light, giving much more flexibility and an added layer of utility when it comes to overhead lighting. The KuroLok RL blind is a specialised roof blind, fitted with a constant tension spring mechanism that ensures that there is no unwanted sagging of fabric despite the challenging angle. The KuroLok Twin RL blinds are much the same, but with the added feature of having two blinds that meet in the middle of the framework. This means that the blind itself can cover more space than the single KuroLok RL, also making it infinitely easier to work around obstructions such as chandeliers or other ceiling décor that may get in the way of a traditional roof blind.

Umbra

Innovative Solutions to Common ChallengesThe StayCity Hotels project was one in which Umbra's unique motorisation options were brought into play in a major capacity. The main challenge at the time was that motorised blinds were catching on objects within the room such as furniture and other objects obstructing the blinds mechanism. This was causing damage to the blind system themselves and meant a lot of downtime and maintenance cost. This was solved by a unique obstacle detection solution that Umbra offers, meaning that the blinds would stop when coming into contact with an outside object. The wide range of fabric options Umbra offers also helped greatly in this project. A fabric with high heat control properties meant that over the entire hotel, large savings could be made on heating and cooling costs. With sensors within the blinds also being able to communicate with the BMS, helping further with heat control and therefore energy efficiency. This is where Umbra's unique obstacle detection motors came into play, whereas before an obstacle would have been met with the force of a blind trying to close despite being unable to, now the smart sensors detected the obstacle and brought the mechanism to a swift halt, saving the obstruction from damage or wear. The full blackout KuroLok blinds also go a long way in quality of sleep for the residents of the hotel, blocking all light and creating a private environment greatly heightened the customer experience. The wide range of fabric options Umbra offers also helped greatly in this project. A fabric with high heat control properties meant that over the entire hotel, large savings could be made on heating and cooling costs.
