A big question answered by a Stannah Goodsmaster 1000 CD Plus goods attendant lift in the revamped Kings House office building in central London. The 1000kg through-car lift moves bicycles and a 1100 litre wheelie bin between the ground floor and the basement storage facility in this extensively reconfigured and refurbished building located on King Street.

Republic London, East India Dock

East India Dock is a newly refurbished site in East London, comprising of 6,000m2 of office workspace and a new area of public realm. The previously underutilised space has been fabulously transformed, including the creation of a pedestrian only external landscaped area. Artform Urban were commissioned to provide litter bins for the public realm and surrounding areas. The client needed the litter bins to be multifunctional for the project, allowing litter to be segregated into both general waste and recycling. The Spencer R Litter Bin was the optimal solution for the site, from design to budget.

Solihull Hospital - Wall Mounted Canopy

Solihull Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands, required a canopy to cover their outside ramp area that houses their waste bins, laundry bins and recycling compacters. They were in need of a structure that would be fixed to the building with a water tight seal and that would block the rain from entering the area, keeping their staff dry whilst also preventing ice from building up on the ramp which currently creates a slip hazard.

Waitrose Store

Artform were specified to supply outdoor bench seating and litter bins to match the rest of the multi-million pound scheme for a new Waitrose store. The products specified were the Multiplicity backless bench and the Multiplicity litter bin which are both part of the award winning Multiplicity collection of integrated site furniture. The end result for the project was a newly completed store that reflected the attention to detail in the landscaping and visually reinforces the brand promise that the Waitrose name represents in the retail food marketplace – namely one of high quality and good taste.

The University of Sheffield

The Concourse, part of The University of Sheffield’s ongoing public realm regeneration is a key thoroughfare, connecting the Students’ Union with the Alfred Denny Building and one of the most used areas of the campus. Artform Urban were approached to provide a waste and recycling solution that would complement this modern and uncluttered space, whilst also having the capacity to meet the high demand in this busy area. The Pack Litter Bin was chosen due to its adaptability and durability.The bins ensure that this heavily used space remains clean and tidy whilst uncompromising on the forward looking environment.

Welwyn Garden City - Two Tier Amazon Eco Shelter

The Bike Storage Company

Working on behalf of Quinn Construction, The Bike Storage Company installed a 40 Space Two Tier Amazon Eco Shelter as well as a bespoke stained wood Amazon Eco Bin Store. Both the Two Tier Amazon Eco Shelter and the Bespoke Bin Store were fitted with wood clad swing gates with hasp and staple locks, making it user friendly. Both structures were clad in FSC certified timber to suit the external environment along with being designed and fabricated in England, with British milled steel. Following this, works are now also under way at Quinn’s Croydon developments.

The royal family of Qatar has created what may be Britain’s most valuable privately owned residence — worth at least £200m. Since buying the grade II* listed Dudley House in London’s Park Lane for £37.4m in 2006, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has lavished tens of millions of pounds on the property. TRC carried out the refurbishment of the windows.

Stratford University

A stylish redevelopment of a courtyard at Stratford University. The project needed products that matched the aesthetic of the Stratford Cultural Quarter landscape. Artform were chosen as the preferred supplier on a range of architectural street furniture. The Parc Vue range of case style furniture was specified. The package included the Parc Vue Tables and Chairs by Landscape Forms along with a selection of sleek stainless steel bins and bollards, and elegant timber and steel benches.

Big Yellow Chiswick

LINEAR Facades, an Elite System roof, fabricated perimeter closures and feature details have all been manufactured by Euroclad and installed on the flagship Big Yellow store in Chiswick. The attractive store, which opens at the end of April 2012, sits alongside a key gateway into London and is a highly visible structure, standing out due to the vibrant colours and flowing lines of the Euroclad products that have been installed. 2500m² of LINEAR Rainspan, as well as the entire feature details, such as the soffits and bull noses were supplied. Northshore Innovation Centre

The New Fusion Hive Innovation Centre at Northshore, Stockton-On-Tees, was part of a 56 acre and £300 million overall project. The 36,000 sq ft Innovation centre is a state-of- the-art, high-tech building that provides spaces for small and medium sized science and technology businesses. Having been identified as the preferred supplier, Artform offered a selection of site furniture elements which included Big Harris Benches, Word Bollards and Box Litter Bins. There were also bespoke signage plates incorporated into some of the bollards to identify disabled parking bays.

Street furniture for new dockside residential development

Royal Albert Wharf is a new predominantly residential development at the very eastern end of London’s Royal Docks docks. The decorative and historic character of the Brunel cast iron bollards made them the prefect choice for demarcation of the quayside, with chains added between to discourage people from stepping too close to the edge. Furnitubes also supplied the more contemporary–styled Fordham bench seating and Zenith litter bins and bollards for the external spaces in and around the new development.

Dalton Retail Outlet Park in the North East was modernised in order to create a premium shopping destination. Contemporary external landscaping as well as lighting, bespoke planters, seating and signage were to be part of the planned renovations. Product suggestions made by the Artform team offered a consistent design and complemented the original brief, whilst offering a robust durable result and a cost effective solution. The Stone Bench, Treeline bench, FGP seats and FGP Litter Bins were chosen to suit the overall project theme.

Stevenson Quarter & Crowne Plaza

The Stephenson Quarter in Newcastle is a new city centre development near to the central train station. Artform Urban Furniture were involved in the project from an early stage, helping to steer the design process. They were asked to supply a range of products that complemented each other but also that had the ability to be adapted, to contain specific branding that referenced the commercial development’s name. The final products recommended for this function included: the Word Bollard, the Vision Illuminated Bollard, the Hesperia Removable Bollard and the Yes Litter Bin.

Artform Urban Furniture supplied products from the Multiplicity range for the development of a new emergency care centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. The overall project was constructed within a tight budget and the street furniture supplied by Artform needed to be of a very high standard, ergonomically designed for comfort and all delivered within the economic constraints. The products also had to be on site and installed within a short time frame, due to the fast track nature of the project. The products chosen include Seats, Benches and Litter Bins.

In the picturesque village of Limpley Stoke in the Avon valley a newly built house required surfacing for a straight driveway and pathway around the front and side of the property. As you travel through this hilly village you notice that the majority of the other houses have loose gravel on their drives, most of which has gravitated onto the road. Keeping a gravel drive looking tidy is not only time consuming, the loose stone makes the surface inaccessible to bikes, wheelchairs and pushchairs; it’s even a struggle to put your wheelie bin out. Carpenters Hall, London

The new washrooms at London's historic Carpenters' Hall feature our full height Alto toilet cubicles, finished with a walnut real wood veneer, and bespoke Corian vanity units with inset waste bins and individually inset square sinks plus bespoke mirror units. Real wood veneer under panels, in walnut to match the toilet cubicle doors, were installed underneath the vanities. We also installed our Concerto integrated duct panel system, finished in HPL laminate in a neutral colour.

Victoria Gate

Victoria Gate is one half of Victoria Leeds; a beautiful shopping district, recognised as one of the premium shopping destinations in the North of England. The award-winning Victoria Gate opened in October 2016 and is a modern interpretation of Victoria Quarter, paying homage to the surrounding architecture. Artform were asked to supply a mixture of street furniture items to the prestigious city centre development. The products specified were the Parc Vue seats, with and without armrests, the Loop cycle stands and the Spencer litter bins. Artform also provided a full supply and installation service on this project.

The ideal modern washroom included: mounted taps to minimise splash-back, bespoke combination units with special makeup bins to prevent toilet blockages and even matching sanitiser and toilet roll holders. We worked with UBS facilities and Make Architects as the design consultants to create the perfect washroom. Not a single aspect was overlooked – we even changed the design of our soap dispensers and taps to suit the client’s needs. Our numerous site visits paid off and the client was delighted, particularly because our designs reduced carbon emissions by 65%.

Procter Contracts was commissioned to carry out this Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project for a brand new school. The project included perimeter fencing and the installation of site hoarding. The 10-month project was carried out on time, snag free and within budget. Procter initially secured the site by erecting hoarding for the contractor of the project Kier Construction. We then supplied and installed 1.8m pro-twin wire mesh to the site, which was certified by Secured by Design and installed 3.0m twin wire fence for the sports pitches, including a bespoke timber bin store.

Lincoln University

As part of the continued development and expansion of Lincoln University campus, the client required a stylish, yet functional street furniture collection to be installed around the University central square. After detailed discussion with the landscape architect, about the options available, they chose the Collect Litter Bin and Ride Cycle Stand from the Metro 40 range. The elegant range complemented the landscape perfectly. The client chose standard colours and designs for the library square and also around the School of Architecture and Building. The overall project had continuity throughout the campus and reflected the university’s standard.

Edge Hill Library Roof Terrace

The innovative £26 million building at Edge Hill University, contains the University’s Library, Careers and Student Services, within its contemporary 8,000 square metre space. The original design included a roof terrace, which increased the outdoor space, with carefully thought out landscaping and additional seating for the Library. The FGP range, by Artform, was selected due to the co-ordinated design, including seating & litter bins. A key feature was the use of anodised aluminium frames, which offers a tough and durable finish, due to it being through coloured and not painted.

Canary Wharf

The project at Canary Wharf required a selection of stylish street furniture made from stainless steel to match already existing product found at the site. Artform supplied the project with a variety of standard and bespoke products. The Steely Can Litter Bin by Landscape Forms was chosen for the project, to be placed both externally around the beautifully landscape site, and internally in the retail malls which house some of the most recognisable retail names. Simple and sleek in design, yet robust and durable, the large capacity Steely Can fits Canary Wharfs' requirements perfectly.

Contemporary street furniture for Tonbridge Town Lock

The £1.9 million construction project to rejuvenate the area around Tonbridge Town Lock included essential upgrades to flood walls of The River Medway. New street furniture was required for the riverbank walkway to provide a comfortable resting point for passers-by. Furnitubes supplied a number of contemporary Zenith seats which were all galvanised and PPC black with Iroko timber slats, along with corresponding Zenith litter bins. The coordinating Linx400 range of railings and bollards were also installed. Now open to the public has resulted in a beautiful open space & peaceful riverbank, providing a blissful haven for residents and visitors.

Wind in the Willows Project - Whittle Brook

Architectural Street Furnishings part of WB White Foundry

ASF worked with artist Bernadette Hughes to develop these spectacular products. Highly decorative laser profiled panels were used to make seats, litter bins and signage. The detailed profiles themselves were manufactured in stainless steel plate and then powder coated, to retain the intricate laser cut details that would be lost is the sheets were galvanised after cutting. The outer shapes were then profiled from heavy duty mild steel sheet that was galvanised, and the two sheets mounted cheek by cheek with invisible fixings. The result isa highly visible design that is decorative, strong and has zero finger traps.

Baltic Triangle

Baltic Triangle in Liverpool is part of a £100m development scheme, combining 308 individual apartments, gym, communal meeting areas, commercial floor space, receptions as well as parking and an external picnic area. The buildings are a stone's throw away from the famous World Heritage Site, Royal Albert Dock. The brief for the external picnic area was to design seating and tables to reflect Liverpool’s industrial heritage. Artform recommended the Spencer Litter Bin and the Pic-Nic Table & Bench for their contemporary finish in corten steel. The table and bench ends incorporated bespoke laser cutting elements into the design.

Franke products help to transform iconic edwardian building for Youthscape

Franke Products were chosen for a ground breaking transformation of the disused Bute Mill facility for Youthscape: a charity who works with young people across Luton. Franke’s Xinox stainless steel accessories were chosen for the bathrooms, which included soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, waste bins and a hand dryer as well as touch free options. “Product quality and uniqueness were factors in deciding which suppliers to choose for this prestigious project. A brand like Franke ensured we would get the best quality that would last for years, and still look good too!” commented Chris Curtis Chief Executive of Youthscape.

Washroom's off-site service allowed the design to be carefully fine-tuned prior to installation on site for this prestigious office refurbishment project. Washroom's full height Alto toilet cubicle doors were specified with a real wood veneer finish, stained to match the solid Douglas fir timber panelling in the reception area. The bespoke polished cast concrete vanity units feature integral waste bins and Tego hinged mirror units above. For the new staff shower and changing room area Washroom's full height Alto FENIX shower cubicles were installed along with Z style Forza SGL lockers.

Heal's Building, London

We’ve installed new unisex ‘superloos’ to make the most of the available space on every floor of the iconic Heal’s building in London following an extensive refurbishment programme. The self-contained 'superloo' cubicles each has its own vanity unit and hand drying facilities. Natural stone vanities, featuring inset waste bins, were installed along with wall panelling and our Concerto integrated duct panel system both finished in toughened glass. Our full height Alto toilet cubicle doors, which were metal faced and feature bespoke door handles, specially designed for this project, complete the design.

The new washrooms created for this sophisticated office development in the heart of Mayfair were designed to blend classic and contemporary styles seamlessly, reflecting the building’s new unique interior design. Washroom's full height Alto toilet cubicles were finished in real wood dark oak veneer and were complemented by the bespoke Corian vanity units with integrated waste bins and bespoke Corian recessed duct bag shelf. Its Concerto integrated duct panelling system was faced with toughened back painted glass. For the staff shower and changing area, Washroom installed its Octave lockers, finished in the same dark oak real wood veneer.

We installed new unisex superloos on all levels of this Grade II Listed mixed use building in the heart of Mayfair. The self-contained toilet cubicles include a toilet, vanity unit and hand drying facilities, enclosed behind a full height Alto cubicle door. The cubicle doors were specified with a Koto real wood veneer finish, stained to an attractive dark colour and complemented with matt black powder-coated ironmongery. Each cubicle features a bespoke white Corian vanity unit with integrated waste bin and inset sink with sensor-operated tap along with Concerto integrated duct panelling system, faced with toughed glass.

Le Bon Marché, Paris

Guthrie Douglas

Laubeuf, a leading European constructor of glass roofs and structural glass façades, engaged Guthrie Douglas to design and manufacture a solar shading solution for the roof lanterns, to mitigate heat gain and glare inside the building. The lanterns include curved glass, slimline mullions, and a delicate supporting structure, presenting challenges in creating a shading solution to provide sufficient solar protection and durability without exerting any significant load onto the structure. The bespokely designed systems follow the curve of the historic domes. Half draw from bottom to top, with the blinds closing towards one another when operated.
