GEC Anderson stainless steel worktops with ultra-thin edge profile and integrated sink were included in this recent residential project in London.The sinktop is 4.8m long and was produced in one, continuous piece and includes sink A50. The opposing island also has the ultra-thin (15mm) edge but incorporates a breakfast bar.Worktops are in EN 1.4301 grade brushed satin stainless steel.

Working together with in-house joinery division, Cre8 Joinery Solutions, Washroom created new washrooms using a mix of different materials including dark wood veneer, concrete and bronze. The long trough shaped and wall-mounted, floating Arpeggio cast concrete vanity units in a traditional dark grey shade, reflect the industrial inspiration of the design, with the addition of black power-coated taps and soap holders providing a contemporary twist. The Cre8 joinery team delivered the bespoke lift lobby panels faced in exactly the same dark oak dyed veneer used on the full height Alto toilet cubicles installed in the washrooms.

Together with its in-house joinery division Washroom delivered a new basement shower and changing area, plus kitchenettes and storage for this redeveloped office. Forte SGL shower cubicles with satin anodised aluminium pedestal legs and 'D’ shaped headrail, were specified in dark grey. The spacious cubicles include a bespoke fold-down bench for extra convenience. Washroom installed bespoke white Corian solid surface vanity units complete with inset wastebin in the superloos. The team also crafted a bespoke oak staircase which runs on every level of the building and installed new oak slatted wall panels throughout to complete the design.

Our colourful Luminoso glass shower and toilet cubicles combine to create an energising shower and changing area for a new gym in the heart of London’s Victoria. The vibrant shower and changing rooms at Gymbox in Victoria feature our Luminoso glass shower and toilet cubicles, back-painted in a striking mix of bright oranges, reds and yellows to complement the bold tiling design. The cubicles feature high specification 10mm clear float toughened glass doors, partitions and division panels. We also installed floating Corian trough style vanity units with wall mounted taps and soap dispensers in the changing room area.

We’ve created a striking new reception area plus contemporary monochrome superloos and a cycle change area as part of an office refurbishment. Each self-contained superloo cubicle contains a toilet and wall-mounted vanity unit, with the full height Alto toilet cubicle doors providing complete privacy for office staff. Manufactured in white high pressure laminate, the toilet cubicle doors were completed with matching Corian solid surface edging and black ironmongery to match the rest of the black washroom accessories. Washroom also delivered toughened low iron glass back-painted wall panelling for each toilet cubicle.

A recent upgrade to ward kitchens included the provision of stainless steel worktops, basins and base cabinets, by stainless steel specialist, GEC Anderson Limited.In a phased upgrade program, the Foundation Trust approached GEC Anderson directly to agree detailing, specifications and costings for the various ward kitchens. The scope of work included bespoke worktops, sinktops, base cabinets and wall-hung wash basins.The results are professional, hygienic and durable kitchens that will stand the test of time for the Trust.

As part of the development at Riverside Sunderland, Brims Construction are carrying out the work at the former Gilbridge Police Station site. During the works, Helmsman were asked to supply some lockers. The client requested Heavy Duty lockers with a wood effect finish, alongside a bespoke vanity cupboard with vanity shelf. 

Hull’s St. Stephens Shopping Centre hosts around 10 million shoppers every year, so when it came to refurbishing and upgrading its washroom facilities, it was vital that they were not only durable but also stylish and high quality. All of these were key reasons why Pendock Classic Plus cubicles, vanity units and duct panels were chosen for the project.Manufactured from 20mm thick moisture-resistant, high-density chipboard with a durable high-pressure laminate (HPL) woodgrain finish, the quality of the new facilities has already prompted the Hull Daily Mail to say: “They may well be the nicest public toilets in Hull.”

Washroom created a distinctive staff shower and changing area using playful and bold primary colours and a natural wood finish. It's highly engineered full height Marcato shower cubicles were manufactured from 20mm solid grade laminate (SGL) and specified in a vibrant blue, while the pilasters were manufactured from birch and overlaid with black mesh. The bespoke Legato perimeter benching was manufactured from birch ply slats to complement the shower cubicles, and the Forza lockers were installed above in a Z shape configuration. Washroom also installed a bespoke white Corian vanity unit and make-up counter with inset waste bins.

We’ve designed and installed a sleek new staff shower area and co-ordinating washrooms for an office in the heart of the City. We installed our highly engineered SGL floor-to-ceiling Marcato shower cubicles in grey with white pilasters to create an attractive striped effect finish. We also installed our Forza SGL lockers in a bespoke Z style. The washrooms, which feature our full height Alto Kristalla glass toilet cubicles, utlise the same colour palette. Our glass faced Concerto integrated duct panel system, bespoke Corian trough style vanity units and Tego storage solution complete the design.

Behind the façade of the iconic Grade II Listed Old Chelsea Town Hall, sits Chelsea Sports Centre. As part of a refurbishment of the showers and changing room areas, Washroom installed its flush front glass iLockers, back-painted in dark grey, together with Forte changing cubicles, manufactured from grey solid grade laminate (SGL), complete with unique Perspex integral roof to let in light while providing complete privacy for users and matching Forte toilet and shower cubicles. Washroom also manufactured bespoke ‘Black Quartz’ Corian vanity units and make-up shelves and installed its Legato benching to complete the design.

The new washrooms created for this sophisticated office development in the heart of Mayfair were designed to blend classic and contemporary styles seamlessly, reflecting the building’s new unique interior design. Washroom's full height Alto toilet cubicles were finished in real wood dark oak veneer and were complemented by the bespoke Corian vanity units with integrated waste bins and bespoke Corian recessed duct bag shelf. Its Concerto integrated duct panelling system was faced with toughened back painted glass. For the staff shower and changing area, Washroom installed its Octave lockers, finished in the same dark oak real wood veneer.

Deny’s Holland House, located in London’s Camden Road was the subject of a recent and total refurbishment by specialist contractor, ITC Concepts.Within the specification were stainless steel worktops to a total of 13 kitchens. Each kitchen is designated for shared use by student occupants of the various apartments. As such, the need for a durable, safe and hygienic facilities lead to the specification of seamless worktops with integrated sinks and anti-drip edge profiles. GEC Anderson were able to produce the prescribed configurations and detailing that were called for. In this instance, installation was handled by the contractor but, when called upon to do so, GEC Anderson offer a full measuring and installation service for their range of stainless steel sinks, worktops, cabinets, shelving and splashbacks.GEC Anderson offer a wide range of options and details such as sink sizes, edge profiles and upstands. Helmsman supplied the full lockers and cubicle package including, benches, an integrated plumbing system (IPS) and vanity units.Most of the lockers and cubicles manufactured, supplied and delivered were from glass. Glass lockers and cubicles bring a sense of maturity and modern feel to the changing rooms.Moreover, they also requested to have Helmsman's front line cubicles range with a floating leg and hidden fixings for a more aesthetic look.Several different types of benches are fitted in the changing rooms, including island benches, double-sided benches with coat hook bars and, benches fixed wall to the floor. Installation of the project took place in several stages, which depended on the contractors and available floor space.

Scarborough Sports Village includes Prospec Marathon Classic range throughout, with cantilevered and double island bench seating in matching solid grade laminate. Prospec Marathon wet lockers, which include an aluminium carcass for wet areas, are a mixture of 1, 2, 3, and 4 tiers, and feature our new £1 coin return lock. Other products included within our installation would be our Marathon Classic fully framed cubicles, postformed solid grade laminate vanity units and grooming shelves, and floor to ceiling IPS (duct panel systems). This project also features our Disabled Access lockers which comply with Sport England recommendations.

This is the fourth branch the luxury gym brand has opened in London and the second we’ve delivered eye-catching luxury shower and changing rooms for. We manufactured our Luminoso glass shower cubicles with bespoke saloon style cubicle doors specifically for Barry’s Boot Camp to create a sleek contemporary finish without external door pull handles. The unique cubicles were completed with black finish ironmongery to complement the black tiles around the showers. We also designed and installed bespoke Corian vanity units and grooming shelves, which were manufactured in the dark grey and heavily veined ‘Cosmos Prima’ colour, adding to the industrial-chic style of the changing area. 

The Wren Academy sponsored by the Diocese of London and situated in Friern Barnet North London, recently underwent large-scale regeneration.What started out as a refurbishment project, with some new build, soon became a new build academy, with some refurbishment. A total budget of 23 million was used to turn the Academy into a fine example of a 21st century school.Architects Penoyre & Prasad, already praised for their education projects with two RIBA awards, created a unique learning environment for the pupils, who are actively encourage to take ownership of the school. The new building section of the site includes a new entrance, teaching blocks, library and toilet facilities, for which GEC Anderson supplied three special feature wash troughs within the uni-sex toilets.The facilities area has kept with the open air feel in line with the rest of the new build. The anti-bullying concept of a light and airy space, without a door to main washroom area, also promotes maturity and responsibility.The wash troughs in the toilet area created a slight industrial, but professional and clean look. There also offer water saving advantages over a standard sink or basin configuration.Martin Tye, managing director of GEC, said “The academy is a great example of modern design and architecture and for our products to be specified is a great honour and achievement.”“The wash troughs were of particular significance, architecturally, as they were seen to provide the flow and contemporary design that is simply not available with alternative materials” added Martin.

Delivering where suppliers before them had been unable to, Abode is supplying the versatile R15 Matrix stainless steel sink, coupled with Pico and Althia brassware to Avant Homes developments until at least July 2021. With ongoing and planned developments on over 50 sites, all of which will feature design-led Abode kitchen solutions. An ideal solution for creating a high-end and minimal look, the design of the Matrix R15 stainless sink means it can be installed into any surface, including laminate, enabling the developer to create an undermount look without the expense of solid surface.

The redevelopment of Yatala Prison in South Australia is supporting the advancement of the state’s public prison structure, reinforcing the security and reducing the rate of offending. Dart Valley Systems have contributed to the completion of the $149 million project with the installation of their products. Multiple, shrouded, wash troughs for 'airside' staff washrooms were provided as well as [DDA compliant] V216 HCP wash hand basins located in all accessible washroom cubicles.Following a very specific design brief, the purpose made wash troughs were produced in order to meet the dual needs of a specific aesthetic appearance but also high durability. The heavily used airside washroom facilities are required to remain in full working order on a continuous 24 hour basis and so any possible cause of wear or tear must be minimised. By choosing the durable medium of stainless steel and also then fully enclosing pipework and services, a highly durable professional and hygienic environment is created for its users.The V216 HCP has an ultra low profile to facilitate wheelchair access. Pipework is also fully concealed.All units were produced in EN 1.4301 grade brushed satin stainless steel.

PROJECTWith the UK market for high specification homes in desirable locations continuing to grow this year, Abode was the natural choice to supply the prestigious Limsi Grove Cala Homes development in Hertford. Designed to cater for the executive market, 41 exceptional 3,4 and 5 bedroomed detached family homes have been meticulously designed to complement a conservation area and provide the best in town and country living, offering modernity and low maintenance. With properties on the market at £834,950-£1,359,950, choosing the best suppliers was key.  PRODUCTSTwo styles of undermounted sinks from Abode’s classic R50 stainless steel range were selected for installation with solid surfaces for a premium look and feel in the kitchen (AW5015) and utility room (AW5014). The classic Matrix R50 under-mount stainless steel sink collection offers a range of 0.7mm thick 18/10 grade steel bowls that will suit every kitchen environment and budget. Other options include the AW5015 large single bowl, and LH or RH 1.5 bowl sinks. Cardigan Integrated Care Centre is a brand new healthcare centre in West Wales, housing a GP practice, dental service and pharmacy.Each unit was pre-plumbed and tested at the Venesta factory, reducing installation time by 50% and giving the end user added peace of mind.The aim of the £24m development was to provide safe, sustainable, integrated care for local residents. The anticipated high footfall meant durable and hardwearing solutions were required in all consultation rooms and washroom areas.Hygiene and infection control were of paramount importance, so we worked closely with Accredited Installers, Shire Integrated Systems, to ensure fit for purpose healthcare solutions were selected.Vepps Boxed-Out Units were specified for all the consultation rooms and offered speedy installation, while maintaining the integrity of rear fire walls and acoustic rated walls. The international tech giant set out to modernise their offices and employee facilities, creating a healthy and inspiring workplace. This saw a requirement for an update to their existing washroom facilities, with a need for stylish yet hardwearing washroom systems.Award toilet cubicles were specified in High Pressure Laminate (HPL) in our popular Noir finish, for a timeless look. Thanks to its scratch and heatproof properties, HPL is a well suited material for busy washrooms such as those at Microsoft Campus. NOMA is a new breed of mixed-use development in the centre of Manchester, a multi-phase scheme to create a 20-acre neighbourhood with a strong sense of community, built to world-class sustainability standards. For the public and accessible toilets in this building on the NOMA commons, architects Simpson Haugh implemented a Superloo layout interspersed with DDA-compliant cubicles. The Splash Lab was privileged to work with Simpson Haugh closely over many years to bring this vision to life with taps and accessories from our Radius Collection in a bronze PVD finish, as well as a Monolith DDA basin. Here is a great example of how to maximise the use of space within a very compact central London studio apartment.GEC Anderson supplied and installed the stainless steel worktop, incorporating sink and hob, as well as the oven housing above.

Space was at a premium in this compact office building, so the self-contained superloos offered the ideal solution without compromising on design. Each individual toilet cubicle includes a WC plus vanity and hand-drying facilities. Washroom's Concerto duct panels are available in wide range of different materials and finishes and here the duct panels were faced with a pale Limed Oak veneer to match the bespoke shelving above each vanity. Its Forza solid grade laminate lockers with secure digital access code locks were manufactured with a Z-style configuration with metallic effect doors and large stylistic black printed numbers.

Bespoke ‘Deep Night Sky’ Corian trough vanities and Diamond Black Formica laminate full height Alto toilet cubicle doors combine to create a sophisticated washroom space perfect for International construction services company ISG’s flagship London head office. The solid surface construction of Corian means the striking colour runs consistently all the way through for a perfectly neat and unified appearance, creating an attractive, hygienic finish. Washroom’s Tego hinged access mirrors, manufactured with bespoke curved edges and LED back-lights, were installed above the vanities, providing a practical storage solution for essential washroom consumables.

We installed new male and female washrooms on four levels and created a new staff shower and changing area in the basement of this recently refurbished office. Our full height, flush front Alto toilet cubicles and Concerto duct panels were finished in the same dark walnut straight grain real wood veneer. The Project Joseph Leckie Academy £3.5 million modern new wing received Walsall Council’s planning committee approval in April 2015, and it has been full steam ahead since then. Speller Metcalfe awarded contractor and commenced building the state of the art 21 classroom block in May 2015. The ChallengeThe Architects vision was to create a minimalist washroom décor with flush frontage cubicles and high specification wash stations.The overall finish to be non-fussy and unobtrusive.Cubicles sited below a bulkhead were required to appear to float and all legs and fixing to be hidden.Standard vanity frontages and sinks did not meet the brief, a bespoke wash station was required. The Solution Excelsior Planar 12mm Solid Grade Laminate has proven an excellent choice for the building, the flush frontage provides a seamless finish, and the durability of solid grade laminate panels is perfect for a heavy use environment such as a school. Finished with a ‘P’ section headrail for maximum stability, eradicating any lateral movement provided the rigidity the system needs.The overall aesthetics of the installation is extremely pleasing, the cubicles overall height @ 2100mm on a 50mm leg is a standard height system however having a bulkhead in place has increased the sense of privacy and delivered the opulence of a floor to ceiling enclosure.
