The slim profiles and elegant lines of the windows complement the Instagrammable interior of the Twilight Bar, with its luxurious, art deco styling, featuring lots of scalloped prints and shapes, velvet seating, fringed lampshades and brass fittings. The exterior of the bar, clad in oxidised copper, is just as striking, and the green finish of the copper contrasts beautifully with the Anthracite grey of the windows.
The installation shows the versatility of the AluK BSF70 system, which can be used for either open-in our open-out windows or doors with individual panels up to 1200mm wide x 2400mm high.

The M Bar and Grill Restaurant in Twickenham is the newest London location for entrepreneurial restaurateur Martin Williams and his rapidly-expanding M Restaurant group. Amtico provided the perfect choice to create a bespoke floor.
With a key emphasis on maintaining the elements of a traditional British pub, interior designer René Dekker was keen to replicate the style of an oak parquet style timber floor, while bringing it up-to-date with 21st Century technology. To achieve the required look, he chose four types of timber finish from Amtico’s Signature collection in an intricate Basket Weave design.

Housed within a Grade II building in Birmingham City Centre, Henman & Cooper Bar is a quirky cocktail bar with rooftop terrace created by Wayne Tracey, owner of a collection of bars including popular nightclub Snobs.The innovative bar was transformed in 2019 and owner Wayne required the installation of high-quality bathroom products to compliment the modern décor but it needed to be robust to withstand the hardest of treatment.TYDE Business Development Manager, Anthony McDonagh met with Wayne to discuss his exact requirements. Hempel intumescent saves bar after three hour blaze

Raiz cocktail bar is a trendy nightspot in the centre of Ponta Delgada, the bustling capital of the Azores. A busy venue, popular with locals and tourists alike, Raiz bar is a modern, industrial design, featuring exposed steel beams and glass walls with steel staircases connecting two floors. It was important to the owner, Gabriel, that as a main feature of the building design, the steelwork was not only protected against corrosion and fire, but also looked good, to enhance the ambience of the bar.One night, soon after closing, a fire took hold. The fire raged through Raiz bar destroying many fixtures and fittings and causing a substantial amount of damage. Initially it was thought the cause was from an electrical short-circuit, but having been ruled out it is now being investigated as a deliberate, criminal act. The fire burned for three hours before being brought under control and finally extinguished by the fire crews. Being outside of opening hours, the building was empty and fortunately no one was hurt.As the damage was assessed, it became apparent that the steel structure remained intact. Gabriel’s choice of Hempel’s intumescent coatings not only protected the steel against the heat and flames, but allowed additional time for the Fire Department to bring the fire under control.

Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS vinyl adhesive has been used to install a luxury vinyl tile floor finish at the Pavilion Bar on Norfolk’s Cromer Pier ahead of BBC television programme ‘Antiques Roadshow’ shooting an episode from the pier.
Contractors took up worn carpet tiles and securely screwed down plywood sheets over the boardwalk subfloor, prior to installing Altro Wood Safety LVT’s.
Styccobond F49 was applied prior to the installation of LVTs. Unlike other water-based adhesives, Styccobond F49 is resistant to water, making it the ideal choice for an installation such as this situated directly above the sea.
Paving and Decking Pedestals - Big Chill bar, King’s Cross, London

The Big Chill, a bar in King’s Cross, was creating a public roof terrace on an existing structure.
The deck was complicated with many changes of level and multiple objects present. A single ply membrane was installed.
Paving and decking was required. Adjustable pedestals were laid directly onto the surface and their heights altered so that the upper surface of the 50mm paving slabs and the 125mm decking frame would be level.
Nothing penetrated the membrane and the weight tolerance of the ASP and TD pedestals meant even very heavy traffic on a public bar was accommodated.

In order to keep the students safe at the new site and mitigate the risk of trespassing and vandalism, perimeter fencing and gates were required to secure the grounds, which next to a busy main road also presented the danger of oncoming traffic.
We supplied and installed 61 metres of 2 metre high vertical bar Sentry® fencing around the perimeter of the school site. Plus four manual single leaf pedestrian gates to match the fencing, two with push pads to stop unauthorised access from the outside.

Recognised as a leading perimeter security specialist Jacksons were identified as the right company to design and supply both a vertical bar fencing solution and timber palisade alternative for both the perimeter and internal areas of the school.
Supplying over 60 x 1m high Sentry fencing, the system was mounted on top of the existing 1m high boundary wall using our bespoke designed cranked fence posts whilst also being stepped to accommodate the sloping ground.

Attended by over 600 leading international architects, designers and operators, the architecture and engineering of the Farmiloe Building was complemented by five uniquely designed ‘Box Project’ spaces, each conceived by dedicated teams for the Awards, and where Breezefree’s 115sqm retractable canopy created a striking counterpart to Nicholas Alexander Creative Construction’s theatrical alfresco kitchen area.

The wirebrushed blocks were finished with Bona Craft Oil 2K (Frost) buffed back for a white limed effect. Bona Traffic HD lacquer was applied as a hard wearing top coat for this busy space. The fast curing time of both enabled the team to work within a tight timetable.
Maintenance involves regular cleaning with Bona Cleaner and annual resealing with Traffic HD so the floor always looks good and the expense and downtime caused by sanding back to bare wood will be avoided.

Cladding in the main is a simple click to install system. Vertical bar fencing provides stylish perimeter security solution for Gillingham Golf Club

The golf course at Gillingham Golf Club is split into two areas on either side of a main road. In recent years the boundary on the road had been demarcated by timber palisade fencing, which although looked aesthetically pleasing, is not suitable for sites where there is a need for a perimeter security fence. To reduce the risk of break-ins and vandalism on the golf course, we supplied 352 metres of 2m high Barbican® fencing, which features a square pale design and has an anti-climb construction.

20 Farringdon Road has been transformed into a contemporary workplace in the heart of the city following a stylish refurbishment project undertaken by specialist abseiling contractors Rubynest.
Their specialist ‘working at height’ team worked from temporary cradles to apply the Sandtex Trade trims system to metalwork on the building’s windows.
Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat, Flexible Primer Undercoat and Eggshell X-Tra were used to create the on-trend black finish.

A modern, high-end apartment building in Newcastle, the Forge combines apartment living with vibrant communal areas for the like-minded residents to enjoy. Style was contracted to create a flexible meeting area in the spacious club lounge, where tenants can gather to socialise or for work. The DORMA Varitrans HSW glass-partitioning wall offered the perfect solution, allowing a meeting room to be formed with ease, whilst retaining the open-plan feel of the room. Creating a stunning feature wall, Style sourced and manufactured a bespoke metal frame that was bolted onto the glass panels, creating a uniquely original crittall-effect.

GEC Anderson stainless steel back bar counters and units were specified for the Foyer Bar and Mezzanine Kitchen at landmark London theatre, the Lyric.Mica architects were asked to handle the extensive refurbishment and GEC Anderson were awarded the contract to supply and install their specialist back bar equipment. Although the overall area of the bar is quite large, including all of the required items and equipment within its confines was quite challenging. Careful planning and design was necessary to achieve it and some unique fabrications and inventive use of available space were needed. Careful co-ordination and liaison between the GEC Anderson, the theatre and the design team enabled the end result to be realised.

The luxurious Blunsdon House has 108 bedrooms, two restaurants, three bars, 11 meeting rooms and a leisure club with an indoor pool and small golf course.
As part of a recent refurbishment project in Carrie’s bar, the hotel required a durable, robust trim to withstand the amount of traffic accessing the bar daily. Gradus Luxury Trim System in polished brass was installed to create a safe transition between floorcoverings, whilst creating a premium and modern look.

The Lakhta Center is a large mixed-use non-residential development featuring the first supertall skyscraper in St. Petersburg.
The 87 floor, 462 metre superstructure consists of a cylindrical reinforced concrete core. Due to exceptional reinforcement volumes, Ancon reinforcing bar couplers and headed anchors were used extensively in the construction of the foundation raft to avoid unnecessary overlapping of bars and minimise congestion.
Nearly 80,000 CXL32 couplers were used for the splicing of 32mm horizontal reinforcing bars, and over 45,000 CXL32HA and 6,000 MBT ETHA32 headed anchors were used at the extremities of the reinforcement at the edges of the raft.

Battersea Power Station, a former 42-acre brownfield site, has recently undergone a major refurbishment project (£9b) to provide a mixed-use development of high-end apartments, leisure and business facilities.The Power Station itself has recently opened to the public and comprises of an event venue, food hall and plenty of shops located within the historic turbine halls.Forming parts of the redevelopment project included the restoration and installation of a new bar within the Power Station’s former control room. The bar has been built around the façade of the original control room B, featuring control desks, switch gears and synchroscopes dating back to the 1950s.Restored to its former glory and sitting on a mezzanine floor overlooking the two large turbine halls, the Control Room B bar has been made accessible to all patrons with the installation of a Cibes A5000 lift.The Cibes A5000 is designed to have a small footprint yet maximum internal space – providing an ideal discrete accessibility solution to the Control Room B bar. Featuring a premium RAL matte black colour and adonized aluminium safety bar and control panel, the lift blends seamlessly with its environment and low-lit aesthetics of the bar. Whilst the fully glass shaft allows for 360 degrees views of the surrounding power station and, screw and nut drive technology of Cibes’ products – complimenting Battersea’s industrial backdrop.Following the successful installation of the A5000, Cibes Lift UK’s technical engineering team provided stand-by services for the official launch of Phase 2 of the overall Battersea Power Station regeneration project. Reducing background noise within a golf centre, Surrey

Hoebridge Golf Centre is a busy commercial and leisure facility that has three golf courses, a function facility and a health club. Given the busy nature of the centre, it had become apparent to many golfers and patrons that the acoustic conditions within the bar and restaurant area needed improvement.Hush Acoustics was tasked by the golf centre’s owners to develop a solution to this major acoustic issue as it possible that revenue was being affected in the bar and restaurant because of poor acoustics. Some paying guests did not want to spend their time in these problematic and noisy areas so addressing the issue was crucial to the centre’s long term success. Hush carried out its extensive survey and to fulfil the client’s requirements to make the bar and restaurant areas a far more comfortable place to be. The acoustic problem at Hoebridge Golf Centre was caused by a high level of ambient, reverberation and echo noise within the bar and restaurant areas.The solution proposed by Hush was to install Hush Absorber 50 Sound Absorbing Panels within the bar and restaurant areas. Through a series of calculations based on the site survey data, the amount of absorption needed to treat the issues effectively could be established.Mike O’Connell, General Manager of Hoebridge Golf Centre was delighted with the panels. He mentioned how well they blended in and complemented the look and aesthetics of the room, and appreciated the minimalistic design with bold colours to give the room a sense of vibrancy. The client was particular happy with the quick and efficient installation by the Hush installation team. They arrived on site at 6:05am, discussed the installation with Mike and had completed the installation by 8am, meaning no disruption to customers during busy times.
