The area in question was the Princess Way Roundabout/Crosby Road South highway at the Seaforth end of the docks, and the carriageway from the port exit to the roundabout under the A565 flyover.

Parsonage Colliery was a coal mine operating on the Lancashire Coalfield which was sunk between 1913 and 1920 by the Wigan Coal and Iron Company. The first coal was wound to the surface in 1921 and from that moment the colliery was prevalent within the Lancashire coal industry and was subsequently nationalised in 1947, linking it to Golborne & Bickershaw collieries via underground passages. Eventually, as coal mining died out in the UK, it came to a close in early 1992.

Little London forms a natural community that offers more than just a place to work. After an initial site meeting and the sample sign off, full lighting design and visuals were produced by our lighting design team. The design brief for the lighting scheme was a contemporary design with industrial feel and compliance with CIBSE guidelines. The luminaire used for the general office lighting was the Oka Suspended.
