The Scottish government gave the green light to Samsung Heavy Industries to test its first 7MW offshore wind turbine at Fife Energy Park. MasterFlow 9500 was chosen for this project as it is the only ultra-high strength grout specifically designed for grouting offshore wind turbines with proven fatigue resistance. The massive turbine is connected to shore via a walkway to enable visitors to get up close to the structure. This part of the structure was also fixed to the seabed and grouted by MasterFlow 9500.

Flood Recovery – Grade II Listed Building

After the flood at the Grade II listed property in Long Marston, restoration experts DJ Hutchings of Towcester was called in, and – in turn – they called upon the services of Peter Cox . Work includes the full strip-out of all wall finishes and the solid floor on the ground floor. Mass underpinning took place to all the external walls. Included in the materials supplied by Delta is the MS500 system applied to all ground floor walls and MS20 on the floors.

The facility is kept at a constant temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, and before settling on a docking solution an investigation into facilitating substantial reductions in energy usage was undertaken. Preventing avoidable energy loss through doors and dock levelers was one of the deciding factors. Estimated savings of 589,000 kwh per year

Restoration of the foundations at a wind energy plant

Concrete foundations of a wind energy plant: Due to the influences of the weather over the years, the following damages were noticed: •Cracks due to movement •Moisture into the structure •Spalling of the concrete •Corrosion of the reinforcement •Flaking paint The first step in the restoration of the foundation was pressure injecting the cracks - through which an elastic closure of the cracks was realized. The total surface was strengthened with a unique sillicate liquid. A waterproof sloped layer was installed; finally, the moving joint between the foundations and the steel tower of the wind energy plant was sealed elastically.

Two further locker compartments above this provide storage for footwear and lunch boxes. The sloping tops keep the room clutter free and reflect the light around the room. At each end the design includes lockers for crash helmets; these bespoke lockers match the colour scheme and merge with the others to provide a unique managed system.
