Material

100 mm deep 1.6 mm galvanneal steel knock-down construction with internal reinforcing to receive standard hardware. Butt corners allow for a clean uniform appearance and rapid assembly and installation. Strike and hinge jambs can be adjusted in length to suit finished floor levels.

Threshold

A shallow depth extruded steel profile gives additional strength to the frame; aiding weatherproofing and sound reduction.

Door leaf and frame are supplied BS EN 12206-1 polyester power coated (PPC) to the Fortress Pro-tec range of 29 BS and RAL colours from DuPont®. Matt PPC finishes only.

All finishes are applied in-house using an electrostatic process. Under normal circumstances average film thickness of 60–80 μm is applied. Non-standard colours are available on request - this may increase lead times. Poly Zinc Marine grade PPC available upon request.

Manufacturer guidance

Door leaves are hung with four 100 mm stainless steel hinges. The door leaf contains four inbuilt dog bolt security pins as standard, which prevents the door from being removed from the opening by forced entry.

High-frequency hinge reinforcement with a return bend for additional strength.

As standard, doors are provided with Fortress hardware solution for architectural ease.
