Aluminium anti-slip walkway system to provide safe access around roof areas. Can be installed levelled, stepped or laid to falls.
Application
Safety walkway for metal profile and standing seam roofs. Can also be used with freestanding feet to suit a flat roof.
The system can be installed either laid to falls, levelled, or stepped to suit the roof pitch.
Handrails and toe-boards can be incorporated to one side or both sides if required.
The walkway creates a level free-draining surface which both protects the roof from foot traffic and where fitted with guardrail provides collective protection to the worker.
Description
Aluminium walkway with a standardized modular system, allowing the design of compliant walkways for access on all major manufacturers and their roofing systems.
Features and benefits:
- The range of standard components can be fixed to roofs of differing slopes and profiles.
- Can be installed flat to the roof sheet, levelled, or stepped.
- Panels are profiled to provide slip resistance
- The walkway can be configured with a handrail to withstand a loading of either 0.36 kN (general duty) or 0.74 kN (heavy duty) and can be supplied with an optional toeboard if required.
- The system is unique in that it can achieve these loadings without the need for additional bracing, allowing the walkway to be placed against the area to be accessed.
- To-boards can be included on one or both sides as required.
- Self-closing gates can be included at designated access points in the system.
- CE marked and tested to BS EN 516 Class 1 Type C.
