A hinged steel doorset, which comprises a robust, general-purpose door and frame, offering durability, coupled with low maintenance and enhanced aesthetic appeal.

The steel door and frame offer significantly improved security over their timber counterparts, particularly due to the strength of the standard hinges employed. In addition, the latest computer technology is utilized to ensure that both door and frame are accurately punched and reinforced for all relevant items of hardware.

Features and benefits:

• Door arrangements: doors can be supplied as singles, pairs, leaf and a half, and with or without side and transom panels.

• Door leaves: manufactured from 1.2 mm-thick zinc-coated galvanized steel sheets, stiffened with internal honeycomb material and reinforced for hardware. The overall panel thickness is 43 mm and there are no face seams. Horizontal channels are welded to the inside of the sheets to close off the top and bottom of the leaf.

• Frame: manufactured from 1.5 mm zinc-coated galvanized steel and formed into a single rebate profile. Supplied in knock-down form for ease of handling/ installation. The frames are morticed, reinforced, drilled and tapped for hinges and strike plates. An overlapping steel astragal is fitted on a pair to ensure positive sealing.

• Hardware: various items of hardware can be supplied/ accommodated. As standard stainless steel ball bearing hinges are included.
