Features and benefits:

- KONE DirectDrive eco-efficient drive system.
- Duty cycle: 12-16 hours per day (maximum).
Safety:
- Fully compliant with BS EN115-1
- Emergency stop buttons for passengers in the skirting panels at the upper and lower landings.
- Broken step chain (chain tension) switches in the return station which stops the escalator in case of failure.
- Comb plate impact device switch which stops the escalator in case of objects become trapped between the comb teeth and the moving step band.
- Step guards at the top and bottom.
- Step sag switch, which stops the escalator if a step sags by more than 5 mm before it enters the comb.
- Handrail and motor speed sensor systems, which electronically monitors the motor for over/under run speeds.
Eco-efficiency:
- Stand-by speed operation via inverter reduces the escalator speed when no passengers are travelling.
- Optional LED decorative lighting system uses 90% less energy and lasts up to six times longer than fluorescent tubes
- Optional KONE Direct Drive is the most energy efficient escalator drive system on the market today and is directly geared to the headshaft, resulting in an overall mechanical efficiency of 96%.
