Application

Suitable for use in sheds, light industrial and commercial buildings when used as a secondary member supporting roof or wall cladding.

Description

Top Hats are alternative to purlins or girts and are ideal where greater roof spans are required. They are manufactured from high-tensile galvanised steels or ZINCALUME® steel, with features including:

  • Quick installation.
  • Easily fixed with self-piercing fasteners.
  • Straight and true.
  • Termite and bora proof.
  • Fire resistant.
  • Easy to handle and store.
  • Available in a range of spans and gauges.
  • Available in both ZINCALUME® and galvanised steels.

Manufacturer guidance

Standard spans for 64 mm and 96 mm profiles range from 1500 mm to 6000 mm. For 120 mm profiles, spans range from 2000 mm to 6000 mm only.
