Thermazone Hydroshield IVR

Thermazone Hydroshield IVR insulation board is an expanded polystyrene (EPS) board made from a low water absorption polystyrene bead with a typical density of 30–32 kg/m³. Thermazone Hydroshield is to be used in conjunction with the Monarperm water reducing layer.

Tapered roofing:

Thermazone Hydroshield IVR is also available in a tapered version, tapering at 1:80 across a1200 mm length.

Applications:

Inverted roof insulation boards provide protection to the roof structure and waterproof coverings and reduce the stress on the membranes caused by extremes of temperature and thermal movement, while also protecting the roof from UV degradation and mechanical damage. Intended for use in an inverted roof beneath suitable ballast material.

Ballast:

Ballast should be nominally 20–40 mm diameter clean and smooth river-washed aggregate and installed at a depth (minimum 50 mm) to prevent wind uplift or floatation of theinsulation. Alternative ballast may be concrete paving slabs of minimum depth of 50 mm and placed on suitable support spacers/ pads.
