Supafil® Frame Blowing Wool

Supafil® Frame is a Glass Mineral Blowing Wool, designed for use in either on-site or offsite timber frame construction, that offers excellent thermal performance. It is non-combustible with the best possible Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification.

Supafil® Veil is a translucent netting which is stapled to the timber frame to create a cavity into which Supafil® Frame insulation is blown.

Supafil® Frame is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 14064, BS EN ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, as certified by TÜV Nord. All our Glass Mineral Wool products have been awarded the DECLARE ‘Red List Free’ label. Having the ‘Red List Free’ label means that there are no ingredients in the product that are on the red list - including formaldehyde or phenol.

Gaps, voids and penetrations:

Supafil® Frame fills all gaps and voids around service penetrations such as water pipes and any other obstructions or unusual design details, ensuring thermal and acoustic performance is maintained. Supafil® Frame allows quicker and more efficient filling of wide cavities where multiple layers of conventional slabs would normally be installed. Supafil® Frame saves installation time by minimising the steps needed to fully insulate hard to reach areas.

Durability:

Supafil® Frame is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Handling and storage:

Supafil® Frame is supplied in polythene packs (4-LDPE) which are designed for short term protection only. For longer term protection on site, the product should be stored either indoors, or under cover and off the ground. Supafil® Frame should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
