Description

This is a system guide for the selection of a semi-flexible 100% solids Epoxy self-smoothing synthetic resin floor, which is hard wearing and has good chemical resistance.

System components:

Suitable primer - Epoxy MT 100, Epoxy ST 100 or Epoxy FAS 100.
Scratch coat - Primer PF mixed with quartz 01/03 at 1:0.5.
Self smoothing topping - Epoxy Flex PH coating (typically 2–3 mm thickness).
Optional seal coats - PUR Top M+, PUR Aqua Top 500 2K M and PUR Aqua Top 2K M Plus (two pack water based PUR sealer).

Coating	Epoxy ST 100 with quartz 01/03 (scratch coat), coated with Epoxyflex PH (self-smoothing topping). Guidance for specification option: Scratch coat material/ m²: 1.5 kg/m². Topping material/ m²: 3.6 kg/m².
Primer	Epoxy MT 100. Guidance for specification option: A moisture and oil tolerant primer. Apply two coats for a DPM. Application rate: 0.25–0.5 kg/m² per coat. Epoxy ST 100. Guidance for specification option: Standard primer. Application rate: 0.3–0.5 kg/m² per coat. Epoxy FAS 100. Guidance for specification option: For all surfaces and it is used for dense substrates and metal. Application rate: 0.3–0.5 kg/m² per coat.
Seal coat	PUR Top M+. Guidance for specification option: Optional seal coat. 100% solid single pack clear silk matt sealer with a small polymer bead achieving a R 10 for slip resistance. Excellent chemical resistance and highly scuff and scratch resistant. Material/ m²: 0.1–0.12 kg/m². PUR Aqua top 500 2Km. Guidance for specification option: Optional seal coat. A pack water based PUR sealer. Matt finish with a tyre burn test. PUR aqua top 2KM+. Guidance for specification option: Optional seal coat. R11 slip resistant PUR clear water based 2 pack sealer. Not required. Manufacturer guidance Three PUR clear seal coats available.
System accessories	Accelerator PH 2–4%. Guidance for specification option: For fast cure of the self smoothing topping. Not required.
