Description

A simple and elegant spiral staircase.

With the riser and locating ring being an integral part of each step, a complete staircase can provide a functional design solution for both traditional and contemporary projects. Designed for interior use only, the steps are available in a maximum radius of 1200 mm.

Material:

- TecStone (wet cast limestone):

High quality wet cast stone, comprising over 60% natural limestone aggregate. Denser than the Haddonstone material, TecStone is acid etched as standard to provide an attractive appearance similar to a finished natural stone. Designed to meet demanding performance criteria and can incorporate structural reinforcement and cast-in fixings. TecStone is the preferred material for architectural projects where structural performance is required.

Compressive cube strength after 28 days (minimum):

TecStone: >45 MPa.

TecStone material exceeds the requirements of the United Kingdom Cast Stone Association (UKCSA) specification and comply with the requirements of BS 1217, BS 5642-2+ A1 and BS EN 13198.

TecStone:

  • Material density: 2350 kg/m³.
  • Compressive strength: Minimum compressive cube strength at 28 days is >45 N/mm² (MPa).
  • Aggregate size: 0–10 mm continuously graded.
  • Finish: Light acid etched.
  • Freeze/ thaw resistance: Complies with UKCSA Standards so products deemed freeze/ thaw resistant.
  • Handling reinforcement: Where appropriate units may contain one or more stainless steel, synthetic fibre or extruded basalt reinforcement bar (30 mm minimum cover).
  • Slip resistance 'Smooth' finish paving tested to BS EN 1339. Unpolished slip resistance value (USRV) was average 86: 'Extremely low' potential for slip. Surface Micro-roughness test (Rz) was average 33.3 µm: 'Low' potential for slip.
