Description

Independent wall lining system based on SPEEDLINE framing and Siniat boards.


Features and benefits:

  • Designed to provide a lining solution that is totally free of the substrate.
  • Can be used where other lining solutions such as plaster or direct bond are unsuitable.
  • Provides a cavity for services to be routed through.
  • A range of I-Stud widths between 50 and 146 mm achieves a wide range of height requirements: up to 7.2 metres without any additional bracing to the structure (it can be braced back for greater heights).
  • Suitable for fixing all types of plasterboard including Speedline thermal laminate boards. Systems utilizing British Gypsum Gyproc board or Knauf board are available to specify separately.
  • Speedline stud can hold insulation to improve levels of sound and thermal insulation.


Installation:

Speedline I-Studs are friction-fitted within Speedline tracks at nominal 600 mm centres. Board lining is fixed at maximum 300 mm centres to all perimeters and intermediate I-Studs using the appropriate length of Speedline drywall screw.

The manufacturer recommends ensuring the substrate is sound and free of any damp prior to installing the Speedline independent wall lining system.

Support

I-Stud: 38 mm flange; available in 2700, 3000 and 3600 mm lengths.

Track supplied in 3000 mm lengths as standard.


Speedline I-Studs can be spliced together to create longer lengths using a 600-mm length of the appropriate sized Speedline deep track and fixed with four Speedline wafer head screws to each flange.

50 mm I-Stud (PI50) with standard track (SPT52).

50 mm I-Stud (PI50) with Deep track (50 mm leg, SPEDT52).

Insulation

Be aware that Speedline I-Stud is designed to hold insulation but also includes slots for routing of services.
