SLG Stainless Steel Clamping Fastener

Pierce point fastener, under the head is a free spin zone, which enables the components to be clamped tightly together to prevent over torqueing and to compress the sealant when applicable. These features combine with the sealing element below to achieve an airtight and water tight connection.

Piercing Point:

This fastener has a needle sharp piercing point and offers the benefits of being swarf free and higher pull out values than the equivalent diameter self drilling fastener.

Sealing element:

The sealing element is 14 mm diameter and comprises of a light grey EPDM of 3 mm thickness, soft minimum 60º shore hardness, to achieve air tight and water tight connection.

The EPDM sealing element is permanently bonded (vulcanized) to a 1 mm austenitic stainless steel conical shaped backing washer.

Approvals:

The SLG-S-A4 Fasteners are ETA approved (ETA number 10-0198) and are CE marked. Technical performance in terms of tensile and shear are all documented in the ETA to enable the engineer to determine safe working loads in accordance with EuroNorms.
