Application

Suitable for:

  • Thermal insulation of buildings.
  • Applications with a high requirement for compression resistance such as roofs and terraces.
  • Insulating large surfaces, including irregularly shaped surfaces such as undulated roofs.

Description

This system is particularly formulated to obtain a foam with an applied density between 43 and 50 kg/m³.

Features and benefits:

  • Free of ingredients that contribute to global warming due to the greenhouse effect or that deplete the ozone layer.
  • Excellent compression strength values.
  • Good values of compressive creep.
  • Excellent adhesion to the substrate.
  • Bonds to most surfaces without the need for glues or mechanical fasteners.
  • Shelf life of components: component A: 120 days, component B: 180 days.

Under favourable weather conditions, the rigid spray polyurethane foam Skytite has a good adhesion to most constructions materials such as concrete, brick, wood and steel.

  • They must be clean (without dust or grease), dry, and in case of metallic substrates, free of rust.
  • If the adhesion is not acceptable under these conditions, a previous treatment like a primer may be necessary.
  • Due to the wide range of substrates and primers used in construction, it is not possible to guarantee perfect adhesion of this system to all surfaces. It is therefore recommended to test adhesion in each case.
